X City, Su Mansion.
The car entered through the large iron gate of the Su Mansion which has been forged a century ago. It was ancient but looked artistic and grand, like the one you can find in storybooks. A big rose emblem was carved on the gate of the Su Mansion, colored red making a beautiful contrast against the black iron gate, displaying its pride, status, and valor. On its side were big and high walls with barbed wires covering all over it. If someone wanted to cross the wall, it was highly impossible without that person getting hurt in the process.
Beyond the large gate was a beautiful mansion resembling a fortress. Its windows and doors were made of jade inbuilt with more security gadgets than a military compound. Several people holding guns were positioned in the different areas looking alert and sturdy ready to kill on one command. The Mansion looked beautiful but lonely and lifeless.
For Su Yanruo, it was nothing more than a beautiful prison where she can come and go as she pleases but she cannot do anything she desires. With a sigh, she got down from her car and entered the Mansion with Xia Ming walking beside her.
"Miss Su, Miss Xia." Everybody bowed and greeted respectfully as they passed by them.
Entering the mansion was a hall, big enough to accommodate a hundred people. The interior designs were the same as the outside grand, artistic, and pretty. In the middle of the hall, was a large sofa made of rosewood, sat a man in a crisp black suit, holding a pen and going over some documents. His face was polished without any blemishes, cold, and emotionless just like a cruel dictator. Even without knowing this person you could imagine his personality; cruel, ruthless, shrewd, hard-hearted, and cunning.
This person was none other than Su Yanruo's father - Su Junhan, the current master of the Su clan and the leader of the Blood Rose Organization, the person she fears and hates the most. For her, he was a very good and thoroughly capable leader but a very cruel father. But there was only one person in this house who didn't fear her father and that was Xia Ming.
Without withdrawing his eyes from those papers, he asked in his cold rough voice. "Is the job completed?" It sounded like he was talking to a subordinate instead of his daughter.
"Yes, Father. Wu Chen is dead," she replied in a monotonous voice removing the mask from her face.
"Good." Su Junhan nodded. "Tomorrow you are going on another mission. It is on a cruise ship, and you need to capture a person called Ji Chenglang."
"But Uncle Su -"
"Ji Chenglang? Who is he?" Su Yanruo interrupted Xia Ming.
She glanced at her, notifying her to shut up and not interrupt her father. Her father didn't like being interrupted. When he is talking, everyone should shut their mouth, open their ears, and listen to him. If someone interferes with him, then that person would end up badly. If it is a family member, then he/she would be punished severely but if it's someone else then that person would be dead.
"A person who played a very important part in killing your mother." her father informed indifferently.
"Okay," Su Yanruo agreed.
"You are going there alone. Xia Ming won't go with you," he instructed.
Before Su Yanruo could agree with her father's words Xia Ming interrupted them. She was completely in disbelief with Su Junhan's decision. "What? Uncle Su, how can you let Xiaoruo go there?" she asked.
"Xia Ming, my dear, are you questioning my order?" Su Junhan inquired, finally looking up from those documents.
"Yes, Uncle Su," Xia Ming agreed, her face completely fearless. "Uncle, I am just worried about Xiaoruo. You know she is afraid of -."
"If she is so afraid of water then she should just go and drown herself to death." Su Junhan said, "I don't want weak people in my clan."
"But Uncle -"
"Xia Ming, I am doing this for her good. She is going to be the next leader of the Blood Rose Organization in a few months and I think leaders are not supposed to have any weaknesses," he explained with a blunt face. "This is a part of her training and she is going to do as I say, isn't it Yanruo?" he asked.
"Yes, Father." she nodded, agreeing to his words.
That's what you want to think, Xia Ming wanted to say but Su Yanruo had already accepted her father's order. She was irked. This was so wrong. She was sad, angry and so dissatisfied with everything that was going on but she was helpless. Compared to her Uncle, she wasn't that strong and hence she couldn't go against him, but Su Yanruo. She was not only strong but also exceptionally good in everything compared to her father. She could go against her father but she didn't want to.
Xia Ming glared at Su Junhan. Just when she was wondering about what to do, sounds of approaching footsteps clip-clopped down the hallway. A figure of an attractive man with gentle and lively eyes could be seen.
The right side of his face was covered with a silver mask, yet a smile could be seen on his face as he walked towards them. Even with half of his face covered with a mask, anybody could tell that he was handsome not the kind that could stop you in your tracks but the one that wanna make you look at it twice. On either side of his straight nose were two smiling hazel eyes. A prominent jaw curved gracefully around his neck; strong arms, bold things and calves, firm chest and abdomen. He looked like the dream man of every lady.
Seeing him was like seeing her savior, for Xia Ming. Her eyes shined bright like a diamond and in her sweet charming voice, she called, "Brother Xian…"
Hearing her call, he glanced at them and gave a cheerful smile. Walking over towards Su Junhan, he bowed respectfully and informed, "Father, Wu Chen's gang is annihilated. He won't bother your eyes anymore."
"Good riddance," Su Junhan praised.
"Brother Xian, Uncle is going to send Xiaoruo on a cruise ship tomorrow." Xia Ming informed quickly before Uncle Su could say something else.
Su Xian was shocked. He glanced at the dull face of his little sister and then he looked back at his father. He knew about Xiaoruo's fear of water, and as well as how much she hated going near the sea, lake, river, or anything related to that incident.
"Father, how about I go to this mission instead of Xiaoruo?" he asked carefully.
