Edward was transfixed on her appearance. He stood up from the floor with the help of a soft cool hand. He felt kind of disgraced at first but the maiden soft voice melted his heart away.
"Sire, are you alright"?, asked the anonymous person standing close to Edward. The strange individual grabs up Edward slowly from the ground.
"I guess so... but my cloth looks condemned with dirt", replied Edward while he dust himself. He looked up to see his saviour. He trembled with fear. He looked really really shocked.it was actually Natalia who got him off the ground.
"Oh Natalia!", screamed Edward out of joy.
"You do look a little... disoriented, Mr Carnon", Natalia replied as she picks up her basket with filled with vegetables.
"I didn't know it was you at all", Edward made a smirk playfully as he watched Natalia as she continued her conversation with him, "I understand sire... it's just normal. we are in the market so you are bound to witness a lot of yelling from all directions".
"Yeah I guess so", Edward responded with a friendly look on his face. It wasnt so long that the duo began to bond while they continued to exchange thoughts. Edward and the maiden of the house of Ransbottom slowly began walked on the narrow market path. There was a brief silence for a while. There was no words spoken.
Natalia reached out for an apple in a stalk in which she stared at Edward from behind.
"So Mr Carnon... what are you doing in the loudest part of Sandroville?", asked Natalia as she dips her hand into the basket. Edward laughed hard at her words, smiling; "Hahaha... Funny you should ask that. first of all, I would love it if you stop calling me Sire. Secondly, The reason why am here is because of your papa, He is trying to show me my way into town".
"My father?", Natalia asked maling a weird reaction.
"Yes, your father. Is there anything wrong with that", asked Edward whom sensed some kind of bad energy from her words. He leans back as he made a passage way for Natalia to go through the huge crowd of people on the market street.
"My father can never do such. I didn't want to show you into town, He just want to go to town to meet up with some friends in the bar", responded Natalia with a loud laugh. Edward looked to and fro but he couldn't picture his entourage who was willing to show him to the town. He felt lost.
"Oh scraps!. I can't even find him again... you were right. your papa is really really a joker", said Edward.
Natalia gave out a loud laugh, "Hahaha! Sure, he really is. He jokes around a lot and it's sometimes get people exasperated... some of the townsmen calls him the lone wolf. He is kind of famous", replied Natalia. The two friends gradually walks through the town. Edward now could see they were almost out of the market. Edward looks at Natalia closely. He didn't what to be found wanting.
He grazed at the young lady one more but in time, the two looked eyes for a second. They look away as they make a quick laugh. As a means not to spoil the mood, Edward went back to their previous conversation.
"Lone wolf... It's sounds pretty strange", enquired Edaward.
"It sure is. That's what I said the first time I heard it too", replied Natalia. Natalia runs to the front dancing happily which automatically confused Edward. He looks at Natalia. He wasn't sure what was happening.
"Natalia, I am totally confused here... how will I get back to the mansion", Edward asked curiously.
"That's not a problem. I am free right now and i have no place to go so... I guess I'm struck with you then", said Natalia.
"Oh really?", Edward asked, folding his arms tightly. He watched as the young woman moved up to him. She grabbed his hand slightly. Edward's heart skipped a bit. Sure, he wasn't expecting that at all. She moved his hand to and fro playfully.
"Yeah, sure... let me be your substitute entourage", said Natalia smiling. Edward on the other hand was quite pleased for her proposal. He laughed out but he knew this was like playing with fire as she was her father's dauther: "Hahaha... but what about your father... is he gonna he pissed about this?", asked Edward in a weak tone. He had a gut feeling not to embark on her wishes. He tries to let go of her touch but it didn't seem to be in motion. Quite determined of her idea, she drags Edward through the streets of Sandroville.
"Trust me, at this point in time, he must have forgotten that you are still in Sandroville", Natalia responded as she took out her scarf out of the basket. She eventually wears the scarf on her head as she waves at her fellow maidens at the other side of the road. Soon enough, Edward was subjected to her charm.
"Hahaha. Ok then. I'm in your care now, Natalia", replied Edward as he finally acknowledges Natalia's precious deal following with a nod. Out of joy, she smiles at Edward as they began to move a bit forward on the sidewalk.
"At last!. You are one tough nut to crack. Come on, let's go see some of my friends", replied Nataila. Edward with Natalia hold hands together while strolling down through the village. They talked and laughed on their way. It seems that they were getting along quite well.
Finally, they arrived at Vanessa's, a close friend of Natalia. She was a fair looking lady posing a weird simile. She was also average in height. Natalia went in to see vanessa inside her home leaving Edward outside. Unknown to Natalia, Vanessa was busy peeping through the window looking directly outside.
Immediately she saw Edward, she began to act weird. she took Natalia by the hand, whispering into her ear in order not to let Edward know was they were discussing.
"Hey, Naly... who is that handsome looking man outside?" , asked Vanessa as she quietly peeped through the small crack on her wooden door.
"Hope you have not started with your 'perfect man' ideology again", replied Natalia with a funny accent. Her friend scoffs: "Are you kidding? Of course not. Just asking. He looks like he is not from around here".
"Hmmm... Well, he is not", replied Natalia as she draws Vanessa away from the door forcefully. She lays her friend on the chair as she began to brawl with her knowledge of her new discovery.
"What! I knew it. Such a man cannot be found in this deep shit of a town", shouted Vanessa.
"Ness, Please, do tell me why you really hate our men living here. You and you dubious hatred for our townsmen is become something only one hand can't settle. Edward is actually from a very long distance. I think he said South or east", replied Natalia with a scorn on her face.
She watched as her friend's face brighten up. She wasn't shocked at all from the idea of this. Vanessa looks at the window at Edward: "I see, he is really some advanced type of human breed".
"Oh, not again, Vanessa", lamented Natalia.
"I'm right sis, look at his handsome physical compositions. I hope his personality corresponds well with his physical attributes", said Vanessa.
"There you go again, nessa. Always thinking beyond your expectations. Come, let's get you both acquitted",replied Natalia as she stood up. Excited and overwhelmed, so did Vanessa.
"Oh., I can't wait anymore dear," replied Vanessa happily. The duo went outside to meet Edward who was busy looking at the flowers.
"Edward, I like you to meet my friend vanessa", said Natalia as she catches Edward's attention.
Edward on the sight of Natalia's pretty friend, he took Vanessa by the hand and kissed it: "It's nice meeting you, Vansessa". He made a smiled which made Vanessa blush excessively: "Sa... same here, Mr Edward".
"You can just call me Edward, miss. I love my formal self better", said Edward.
"I think I can probably get used to that", responded Vanessa as she nodded her head. Edward began to move around staring at the colourful head of flowers of different varieties. With his both hands behind his back, he continued to survey the grounds.
"You have a pretty home here, miss Vanessa", said Edward.
"Oh Yes, of course. It's kinda of small but at least, it serve its purpose", responded Vanessa happily.
"I guess so... but you are right", retorted Natalia as she cuts into Edward and Vanessa's conversation. Edward continued grazing at the flowers. It seemed that the young man was into flowers.
He gracefully picked up a butterfly from a heap of white lotus flowers. Vanessa and Natalia watched as he made the butterfly fly away to the sky. Everything was quite all right until Edward proceeded with where they left off in their previous discussion which baffled everyone, "So where is the garden then?", asked Edward.
The two women were shocked. Natalia on the other hand, was automatically dumbstruck towards Edward's comment.
"Garden? How did you know I own a Garden?", asked Vanessa whom was as curious as hell. Edward mirthed instantly at the two young ladies: " I'm psyche, my fair maiden. you know, there is a lot you don't know about me".
The two women laughs out loud as Edward ended. Vanessa laughed so hard that she nearly fell the lamp laid at the south corner.
"Good. More hidden fact about the new guy. Wonderful because I would like to know them", said Vanessa jokingly. Edward stares at Vanessa with an unconvincing reply: "You can't possibly know all"
"Try me, Mr Secret", laughed Vanessa.
The trio talked throughout the day. They played some games and did some weird teenage stuff. They stayed so long at vanessa's place that they even forget the time. They walked home under the big round moon shining downwards through the black skies.
Edward and Natalia continued back their conversation:
"So tell me, Edward... what about your family?", asked the curious Natalia Ransbottom.
Edward couldn't utter a word but he was quite fast at avoiding such kind of questions: "They are dead, Natalia. They died in my town", replied Edward as he slowly looks away from her eyes. Natalia could sense she might have bought back old painful memories at that moment.
"Oh, sorry for your loss. I didn't know about this", replied Natalia with a slow tone while she pats Edward on the shoulder.
"It's ok. Really. II have gotten over it. It's in the past. I can't stop what has already happened, you know", Edward breathes hard.
"In the raid, was they any survivors?", asked Natalia anxiously. Edward replied as they passed the local town bar:"Nope, just me... I took a narrow escape into the woods. I was saved by my instincts"
"That's bad. that's bad. I pray may the souls of the fallen guard you, walk with you and direct you to your supposed destiny. Your parents will always be with you, Edward. Both in spirit and living", Natalia spoke soberly as she holds her friend's hand in the dark. Edward looked up in the night sky, shoking his head.
"Thanks for your sympathy, Natalia. You know, you are really a wise folk. You should be a judge in the afterlife", said Edward jokingly. Natalia gave out a loud laugh in response. They walked on under the night sky without having the slight thought that they were holding hands throughout the whole day.
They got to the Ransbottom mansion right on time for dinner. They stood near the door looking up in the sky, admiring the stars and the heavenly bodies present in the sights.
"What a world. it's really a magnificent sight", said Natalia as she slowly removes her scarf.
"Yes, it is, Natalia", replied Edward as he adjusted his feet on the lower pavement. They spent a short duration of time together on the porch. Soon, the night wasn't young enough any longer.
"I am exhausted men!. I just want to take a nap right now", said Natalia as she made her way to the door
"Yes, you should. I really had a day out with you. Surely, you need your strength tomorrow", replied Edward from behind but it seemed like her new friend wasn't down with her idea.
"Ain't you coming inside the house?", asked Natalia curiosity.
"No, love. Not yet. I think I will stay out here a little longer. The sky is brimming brightly tonight. It's still quite young to me", said Edward in a deep tone.
"Ok then. It was nice being your entourage, Mr Carnon", Natalia responded.
"Hahaha... the name's Edward, my dear entourage. Good night dear", replied Edward with a smile on his face.
"See you inside then", acknowledged Natalia.
She eventually pushes the door letting herself in. While inside, she stares at Edward for a while. She felt gloomy as she watched the young man standing on her father's porch. Soon, she gets tired. Natalia jammed the door leaving Edward outside. Edward kept thinking about the kind of situation he was in.
He was in a new town with so much ahead of him. He remembered about his previous town in which he lived and how he killed everyone in the town for some reason he cannot explain.
He decided to forget about the past and tend to what the future holds for him but triggered his memory.
He remembered that today was the the D-day – AKMOON.
Edward got really really scared. His body was soaking furiously. His eyeballs turned from black to pure white. Something strange was happening to him. His hair immediately turned white. He knew the time was up.
He looked up in the sky and turn the blood moon.on the onset of this event, Edward rushed away, moving from street to street, hiding away from the town until he finally found his way outside the outskirts of Sandroville in the dark cold night...
