Tess started his day off with a bit of a boom. Well, to be exact the boom started his day. His room rumbled as a small explosion was set off in the shop. "Damn it Gawan," Tess mumbled to himself. "Why do you have to wake me up so early."
He jumped out of bed and unzipped his small sleeping bag, a puff of steam shot out as he did so. He shivered, 'couldn't I just get back into my sleeping bag and let Gawan deal with his own problems?' Another loud boom shook the shop. Tess sighed "guess not."
He opened his small dresser and pulled out and put on a pair of plain white clothes and shoes. "Blue's a cool color," Tess said while doing a circular motion with his hand. and thus with that, his jeans were painted a bright blue. "Guess I overdid the enchantment. Eh, not like it matters." He picked up his white shirt. "Red's a cool color," Tess said again, this time saying red instead of blue. He did the same circular motion, however imbuing less mana into the enchantment. His shirt came out a dark red.
Another rumble, shaking the floor beneath Tess. Tess swung his door open and rushed down the stairs. "Gawan, what the hell are you doing?" Tess called out as he reached the bottom of the stairs and into the supply room. "Uh, nothing?" Gawan called back. 'Nothing my ass.'
Smoke filled Tess's nose as he opened the door leading into the shop. "Gawan, why is there smoke in my shop." Tess had to close his eyes as they started burning and tears were forming. "I may have accidentally imbued too much mana into an explosion enchantment."
Tess rubbed his still burning eyes, wincing at the pain. "What have we learned about doing explosion enchantments?" "Uh, not to do them?" "At least not until I'm up." "Well, you're up now." Tess slightly glared at Gawan. "We gotta call the cleaner."
Gawan's eyes widened with fear. "No, not the cleaner. She's always mean to me and you take the cleaning fee out of my paycheck." "Yeah, with reason. I mean we call her daily because you continue to make a mess of my shop. Now go and call her."
