I try to sit up, I swoon back on my hands for a minute.
"What is with this day"? I exclaim, Exasperated with this morning.
I get up and go inside the building. I make a stop for some coffee.
I decide now this pounding headache needs a "Vanilla cappuccino!"
I slowly drink the very hot liquid. while rubbing my knee and the back of my head. I guess I feel refreshed enough to go take my final exam. I have to maintain my grades and my class seat. I am in the top 50 in my class at #38. I am unsure if all of my Psychology studying went out of my brain with that bump, but I resolved to AT least get top 100.
I go into the lecture hall and pick out a seat. I arrange my bag onto the seat next to me. I do not want anyone to sit next to me today. I am just not into any conversation right now.
My head still pounding, I look up and see the Student Aid handing out the final exam packets.
Professor Park starts talking about the final exam while his Student Aid starts to hand out the first portion of the exam.
"Today is Friday the 10th of May 2019. This is The Year 4 psychology final examination. You will have 1 hour for each section of the exam, without breaks. Section 1 is multiple choice and section 2 is the Essay topic and additional questions. Begin handing out packet for section 1..."
His Aid hands out all of section 1 and he starts a click on his desk.
Professor Park and his aid say in unison, "Start! Fighting!" The raise their hands in a fist and smile.
I flip the page and begin answering questions...
The buzzer goes off and the Aid collects the first section and hands out the second section of the final. They reset the buzzer, and say start again in unison.
I begin the essay...
The buzzer sounds a final time and the Aid collects the second section. Professor Park and his Aid say their goodbyes and bow to the class thanking them. Professor Park says they will post the results on Monday and dismisses the class.
I sigh in relief and say a small prayer for success while clapping my hands and I stand up. I gather my things and head out into the hallway.
Everyone is mingling and celebrating the end of the year and Final Exams.
I see groups of girls doing the "drinking sign" with a click of the tongue, finalizing their celebratory plans for this weekend.
I don't want to celebrate. This now aching headache is driving me crazy. I just want to get my phone replaced and go to bed. I head out and decide to take a taxi home.
The phone store is in Gangnam, but today has been a hard day and I want to avoid any more catastrophes. I tell the driver where we are going and lay back to rest my head. I doze off. I am once again abruptly woken, by the taxi driver telling me are here.
I hand him the 400 won and get out of the taxi.
"Thank you sir." I say and go into the phone store. It is uneventful.
I come out with the latest LG technology and it's ringing as soon as I walk out. I get 37 text messages and 18 voice mails.
"Oh God! It's my mom!" I say out loud.
