Presidential Suite-Room 15
Somebody knocks on the door. Zoe ignores but that person keeps knocking.
She walks to the door. She checks the camera and then opens the door.
"Police." Two cops say showing their license. They hand her a paper.
She stands there. Frozen. Looking blankly at the portrait right in front of her. All she could think was how much her mother resembled the one in the portrait. Why did the woman in the portrait resemble her mother? Did her mother had anything to do with the murder? Was she the murderer? What was her part in this?
She can't predict or understand what is happening. At one point it's like her mother is hiding so much from her but then when they talk it's never that way. It could have been her mind playing games with her. She tried so much to get something out of her but everything in vain.
Reception
"It's nice, not bad." Fuyu says looking at the interior of the hotel.
"Sir, Room 14 of the Presidential Suite. Your booking was done online. Your fingerprint has been registered in the lock. Would you like to register Miss's fingerprint." The receptionist asks looking at Fuyu.
Fuyu makes a babyface.
"Not required." Reo says.
The receptionist taps on the screen and continues, "Sir, He will take you to the room."
"No need. I know the way." Reo says.
"I hope you have a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt." She says bowing before they leave.
"That's wrong, enter my fingerprint too." Fuyu says.
"Do you have the right to complain?" Reo asks pressing the lift button.
"Still, this is unreasonable." Fuyu says throwing a fit.
"Unreasonable? Look who's talking about doing unreasonable things." Reo asks looking at her in awe.
"Ok. I get it." Fuyu says.
They soon reach the floor with the presidential suite. As they were making their way towards Fuyu's room, a surprising sight greets them. There were police in front of suite 15.
A girl was calmly talking to the police.
"We have to investigate this further. Your alibi and statement are important to the case, Ms. Zoe." One of the officers says to her.
"Since we have to record the statement directly, you'll need to come to the police station with us." The other one says.
Zoe looks at her feet and then at the two officers standing in front of her room. "I need to talk to my lawyer first." She says after thinking.
"I have seen that face somewhere." Fuyu says in a bleak voice. After a second, realisation strikes her, how could she forget this face?
Reo opens the door and walks inside. Fuyu remains standing outside. Fuyu signals her asking if she wanted some help. Zoe nods a no and apologizes for the disturbance caused in the middle of the night. Fuyu smiles and enters the room closing it behind her.
As Fuyu enters the room, she sees her brother sitting in front of a desk with a stern expression. His phone screen was still lit which meant that he had used it just now. She pours herself a glass of water and then sits on the bed.
"Did you find anything?" Reo says. She shakes her head disapprovingly.
"You won't leave me until I tell you about him, right?" She asks.
He keeps looking at her.
She smiles and says, "That's not all you are here for, right?"
"I was attacked twice, today." He says.
"That's interesting. I guess you know by now who was behind it." She says.
"Vice President." He says.
"That's even more interesting." She says, showing her excitement.
He spreads some photos on the table.
Reo knocks on the table with his phone stylus. Fuyu looks at each one carefully.
"Hamyang Bank." She whispers to herself as she observes one of the pictures.
"Would you mind explaining this picture." She says holding the bank's picture.
"Hamyang bank: The transaction accounts of our company are in this. The Vice President vouched for this bank and even made the ones against the idea of investing in it, vote in its favour. Obviously, he did it because he gained out of it. My current secretary is involved in this too. And I think my previous secretary is related to this." He says.
"It was suspicious that he died on the day of the meeting." She says.
"I appointed a secretary for you. I also changed your bodyguard. You'll visit father tomorrow the first thing in the morning. You have the rest of the night to come up with something convincing. I enrolled you in one of the school's here." He says.
"I guess I'll have to start going to school soon." She says with a sad expression.
"I'll take you to the place where our team is working now, I know you are curious but don't go searching for them." He says in a commanding tone.
"The last phase of the signing with the bank is tomorrow at 5 pm. We monitored his accounts, even the foreign ones, but there were no transactions." He says.
"He obviously didn't buy stocks." She asks.
"No." He says.
"Thank god, it would have been boring otherwise." She says.
" He will surely receive the payment before the signing." He says.
"Later, you will go to the hospital and visit the Vice President. " He says.
"I know he's hiding something. I can do this, it's quite easy." She says.
