Chapter 11 - Hell of an evening

While we're waiting on the platform, Oliver is telling me more about his nieces. They seem to be very interested in ponys and the color pink. Of course, thes are little ones, only a couple of months old, but they fancy said things very much, even if they don't recognize these things.

A train is arriving, called "34/11/16". This number tells me nothing, even if I'm often travelling with one. Maybe I should open my eyes a little bit, so I can see more from reality. But only maybe.

The train stops and many people are stepping out, only to run away for the next trains or to fall in the arms of their beloved ones. No sight of a blonde woman with little babies on her arms.

Oh, over there is middle aged woman standing with two boxes. No, said boxes are really 'maxi-cosis" and in them are sleeping sweet babies.

"Over there, Oliver!" I'm showing the direction with my open hand. It lasts a few seconds, but then he finds the right way. "Yes, there's my dearest sister Isabel. Come with me." He's stepping to her with long strikes, people never seem to get in his way. On the opposite I'm getting punched and called stupid names, if I even dare to step around a few guys. Yeah, the world is fine.

Shortly after my obstacle course, I find the spot of the siblings bounding. Oliver told her, I'm his assistant, so we are shaking our hands. She seems to be very nice, she's smiling pretty often and her pure looks might be because of her friendliness.

"Nice to meet you, Wanda. It's suitable to call you by your first name? It's seems to be, because you are helping my brother with babysitting this weekend."

"Yes, of course. Nice to meet you too, Isabel?" She smiles "You may call me Izzy, all friends do that." I'm nodding and giving her a little smile.

"Izzy, do you mind, if I carry Sarah and Wanda takes Alice? You must take the train back in roundabout five minutes, so you should go back to the platform. You shouldn't be waiting for another hour to catch the next train, only to speak with us longer."

Izzy shakes her head, while she's laughing loudly. "If I wouldn't know it better, it might be, that you want to get more time with your beautiful assistant. But it's okay, I can understand you. Good luck with the two, then", she's heading the other way to her train back.

"So, let's go. Do you know, how to build the seat belt around these boxes?" he's asking me with a quiet voice. I'm only nodding, because I'm not sure about only staying today and tomorrow morning. I can already guess, the weekend with him is getting longer than I thought.

"That is really good. Actually, where did you get your exercise with little ones? Your no mother and no aunt, I have read in your application."

As I thinking back at my babysitting time, a big smile grows on my lips.

"I always liked kids, so you can guess, I was baby sitting my neighbors children after school or in the evening, so they can go to work in the afternoon or do what they didn't have time before. The best part was the little smiles on their faces, when we were doing something forbidden. Of course, next to getting paid, because as a teenie I loved to read many books and books are really high priced for a teenager." He didn't seem to mind my little monolog about my teenie time, so he did either listen to me or the opposite, hm.

His next question did suprise me. CSo how many kids did you worshipped? I can guess a lot then?" I only shrug my shoulders to my ears. "Maybe, I didn't count the number back then."

"So, it don't matter now. Right now, your experience is the most important. And you know much about  little babies, I was persuaded. Let's drive to my apartment then. It's to noisy here and the little ones shouldn't wake up soon."

The traffic isn't to bad, but it seems, we need more time for the ride than calculated. His facial features are getting lower by every five minutes of driving. "Normally I get home by twenty five minutes, but the cars in front of us are so slow, we need more than thirty five then. It's kinda irritating. Ugh. Driving really feeds on our time." I'm only nodding, because it seems I get a headache soon. My right face side is throbbing, but I can live with the hurt a few hours more, too.

Arriving after forty minutes at his garden door, he dials a safety number in his mobile phone to get it opened. It's weird to be in the personal area of  your boss, so weird, I get an uneasy feeling deep in my stomach. To contain my calm, I try to think positive. For example, little baby cats playing around.

He's parking in his garage, in which two other cars are standing. One sports car and a normal everyday car.

"Let's take the two out of the bad car smelling to the living room." Each of us is taking one kid, Alice is with me again. She's really adorable, so little and so cute. I can't contain my wide smile, it breaks simply out of it's box.

"Wanda, come on, you are getting a cold and the baby too. You can smile at the baby in the warmth." Oh dear, it must have looked really creepy. "I'm sorry. But Alice is so sweet!" My excuse doesn't get heard, because he's already inside.

As he shuts the door behind myself, after riding the elevator together, I can only look at the grey walls and the black and white interior. It seems quite depressing here. Alice thinks the same, because she starts to cry exactly on point as she opens her eyes.
