Chapter 570 - I Am Mane Harbinger: XVI

Along with a loud trumpet sound that announced the presence of another who had comprehended the laws of Space, Mane's body was greeted by the light of the space elements. The ash of space blended with the grey of time and the black of Takeover to create a multicolored halo of darkness around the young Supreme. Mane's eyes flashed with the brilliance of a man filled with understanding as he pushed himself forward. His hands went before him, clutching at the wind as he made a tearing movement and caused space to bend to his intent.

Shuttling Through Space was one of the two Breaths Mane had unlocked after greedily swallowing the laws of the Origin King. Even with Devour, eating up high level laws were almost impossible since the skill wasn't ranked higher than Space or Time Laws. For if it had no such limitations, Cronos would have dominated the realms of men long before the birth of Mane. But Mane had succeeded. The young Supreme's success had to do with the fact that he possessed True Eyes. Having devoured it as his, the eyes that were connected to the Origin King increased Mane's appeal to the elements of space so that they didn't resist his call. As for time, Mane already had some experience with it. That didn't mean he wasn't pleased with the new skill he had unlocked.

Time Encapsulation: Time Encapsulation is a skill that allows the user to blend one time skill with another. With Time Encapsulation, the user it temporarily entitled by the time elements to do as he sees fit with them, allowing him to employ the use of several time skills without having to give up one for the other. By coating the user with the time laws, the user can and will be able to use multiple Time Glows and Breaths. This skill has been lost to time and is only possessed by few. Rejoice young Supreme. For you are now one of the mighty few who possess this grievously exaggerated power.

Drawback: User is only at the Beginner Level of Proficiency and lacks the guile and craft required to truly make full use of this skill. User can currently anchor only two time laws to this skill. Time Laws chosen: Time Share and Self-Time Acceleration. User can only maintain this state for a good part of ten to fifteen minutes.

Shuttling Through Space: This is a space skill that allows the user to open up entry and exit portals with a distance of ten meters between the two. Without a strong physique this skill is dangerous and can break down the user's body, returning it to the dust from which it came.

Drawback: User is currently at the Beginner Level of Proficiency and can only use this skill once every two minutes.

*Warp*

A small wormhole appeared before Mane with flashing lights that dictated the beauty of the obscure elements of space. But Mane wasn't in a position where he could admire this beauty. With a gentle leap he pushed himself through the wormhole, holding down the gag reflex that came with his first space travel experience and resurfaced a few meters away from the Origin King.

*Crack*

Mane pushed himself off the ground once he found it again, propelling his wobbly legs towards the stunned Ancestor Origin who just couldn't fathom how a child had so easily picked up a skill that was so obsolete that he thought that he had claimed it for himself and himself alone.

Mane didn't care about his rival's surprise, but he was elated by it. For due to his sudden use of Shuttling Through Space, the Origin King had been so surprised that his reaction time had dulled. Mane pulled back his arms and gathered power into his fists. The golden light of earth filled his bones and enriched his marrow as he prepared to strike with all his strength. The flames of Brimstone blazed stronger than ever before, their lights akin to the bright eyes of the Reaper himself. And without any hesitation – not like any was allowed at this level – Mane pushed his fists into Ancestor Origin's abdomen.

The Origin King took quite a while to accept what was happening in front of him. And it wasn't until Mane was right in front of him that the King of All Artefacts regained his bearings. He was a wise man and swiftly judged that he wouldn't be able to evade at such a close distance. The fight with Odin had been damaging and though the Origin King looked fine now, the injury to his mind still remained. His speed and skills were merely a fraction of what he could display from before. And that meant he wouldn't be able to evade this blow. With the minutest of emotions the one who ruled from before the time of the gods shielded Mane's target with his palms, coating them in the elements of his monarchy.

*Boom*

Mane's fist struck the Origin King like a relentless bull and sent the King of all Artefacts flying. The palms of the Origin King were red with pain as several fibers of muscle detached themselves from bone. Yet the expression of the Origin King remained the same. The figure of Aurora appeared midair, right in the path of the Origin King, and the wraith pooled her edict together. Her figure was like that of a specter of darkness, and with some level of caution she flew towards Ancestor Origin. Her nails extended into sharp spikes as they pierced towards the retreating Origin King, their intentions unhidden and her actions unbridled.

Crystal didn't stay silent either. While her fear towards the Origin King was great, her pride as an Eternal was greater. Besides, her Spirit informed her that he was weaker than he was in his prime. And the visions Mane gave her enlightened her as to why that was so. So she knew that they had a shot. She swiftly resorted to using the most useful tool in her arsenal, guarded by her luscious red lips – her tongue. With chaos ready to listen to her every plea the Eternal known as the Chaos Witch spread her arms apart and cast a Lease

"Lorica"

Dark flames that carried the scent of the underworld were summoned under the cold glare of the Chaos Witch. Mane was chilled by the sight. For the power he felt from those flames caused him to tremor within his own soul. And he knew – those flames were stronger than his! It wasn't unexpected, for Chaos itself was represented by flames. And Crystal was showing how to truly use an energy source to her advantage. Crystal waved her hands towards the Origin King and without any delay, those flames rushed at him.

"Hmm," the Origin King snorted at the attacks of two women. His eyes flashed calmly and a portal opened right behind his flying figure. Under the disappointed looks of Aurora and Crystal, Ancestor Origin fell into the portal and reappeared several meters away from them.

"You think that you can kill me just because I am weaker than usual?" the Origin King snorted in disdain as Aurora's charge came to a halt and Crystal's flames were swallowed by the portal.

"Even when I am weaker than normal, I am not your equal!" Ancestor Origin raged as his aura filled the place. The grim power of the King of Artefacts was like a vice that clutched at the neck of the two ladies, and they felt their throats close up and their hearts tighten in fear. Air escaped their lungs and refused to be taken in, causing the two to wheeze in discomfort.

The Origin King smirked derisively seeing their discomfort. But his smile didn't last for long. His arms were swiftly raised in defense as a fair palm covered in murderous intent, slapped towards his head. For there was one here who had experienced the pressure of the Origin King's soul when he was at full strength and wasn't affected by the reduced power of the Origin King. And he struck.

*Bang*

The Origin King didn't lose his balance this time but he was sent skidding backwards, effectively breaking the hold he had on Aurora and Crystal. The two women swallowed large gulps of air as they pulled back to create some distance between themselves and the Origin King.

"You wouldn't be effective in direct confrontations. Watch out for an opening and strike when you get the chance." Mane's voice traveled to the two women, and they nodded their heads in assent. Their Lord was right. They wouldn't be helpful by fighting directly in such a battle. They had to do what Mane did when Odin took on the Origin King: stay in the shadows and wait for the opportunity to strike. The Origin King would be restricted by the knowledge of their presence. And when he was not, he would be caught unaware by the power of their presence. They just had to time their ambush and make sure they got it right.

"Good," Mane nodded his head when he felt their auras travelling farther away from this place. And without any hesitation he allowed himself to fall into a power he had never used in battle

"Breath: Basic Elemental Harmony. Activate Subskill – Elemental Telekinesis"
