Once Mane activated Elemental Telekinesis, he turned off Basileus since he couldn't handle so many Glows and Breaths at a go. But that wasn't before he strengthened the power of the elements
"Augendae: Elemental Telekinesis"
The broken forest bed produced several slabs of stone that rose to the air and littered the atmosphere. The winds howled like starving wolves as they tossed broken tree stems and pushed soil aside. Mane flames burned even brighter and his control over them grew stronger. The most apparent change of all though, was the weather.
The bright skies grew shy, covering their fair necks with blankets of dark clouds that hid their blush – its suitor the streams of lightning that gathered under her lax watch. The clouds danced with each other, giving out thunderous groans of pleasure as they swiveled and turned and displayed their vast array of exquisite footwork. The skies lit up in bliss as the heavens were tenderly treated to lightning's kiss. And with great emotion did it weep.
As the rain fell upon the surface of the earth and the power of destruction – that which birthed flames and killed gods – descended upon the earth, Mane's figure disappeared before the Origin King's eyes.
The eyes of the Origin King were squinted in caution as he felt the strange scenes around him. While he was surprised that the boy before him was able to control so many elements, the quality of his control – the understanding he had of these elements – stunned him more. And with great alertness he pooled the space elements around him, ready to escape or strike depending on the circumstances.
A storm of lightning gathered in the clouds and threatened to fall upon the earth with a vengeance it didn't deserve. With a great cackle and an ominous giggle lightning whips lit up the sky and illuminated the figure of the young Supreme. He was behind the Origin King!
The young Supreme's body was still dominated by fire. But there were a few changes. An armor of gold and turquoise – an earth and water armor – somehow shared the same stage with fire and didn't oppose nor face the wrath of the destructive element. The eyes of the Supreme were filled with the stars of a million elements, and his hair their blessings. Without any hesitation he whipped his leg towards the Origin King's head, his movements swift and fierce like a vengeful tiger.
The Origin King could feel the danger even before it appeared. He was no Scholar, but the alert he sent out to his body when Mane showcased his prowess with the elements and the elements in turn revealed their bias to him, paid off. For the Origin King had filled the area around him with the light of space and once Mane appeared they were unsettled. This was more than enough information for the Origin King. And he didn't hesitate to produce something Mane had never seen before – a Space Shield.
*Bang*
Mane's leg struck the Space Shield with the strength of a million galloping horses. The shield rippled like a barrier and absorbed all of Mane's energy without a single crack. It was a startling sight and Mane would have been shaken greatly by the strength of this shield if True Eyes hadn't informed him of the trickery behind its power. For Mane's sharp eyes caught a small portal – maybe only a few inches wide – open about a hundred meters away. Under the blanket of darkness Mane had summoned it was difficult for the average eyes to see. But True Eyes were no average orbs. And Mane saw his power escape from that portal and into the sky above.
"He teleported Edict?" While Mane was a bit surprised by this, when he thought a bit more deeply about the situation, he didn't find it that strange anymore.
Mane's strike was one aided by the elements, but his own energy – including his very potent outer energy – was embedded into this one kick. Even if the Origin King could transport the fire, earth and water to another location, Mane's outer energy was potent enough to cause great harm. But the portal the Origin King made absorbed Mane's outer energy like Reflexionem and propelled it to another area. Mane reckoned that the Origin King could do this because he once commanded the Book of Order and that made him capable of a few strange feats – not like Mane was the one to talk about queerness.
The young Supreme was largely unmoved by his failed attempt at the Origin King's life.
The stones that were floating in the air all this while finally proved to be of use as they were consumed by blazing blue flames that were strengthened by the winds. Even under the influence of rain these flames weren't weakened at all. With very little hesitation the young Supreme pushed his flames to the limit and spread his arms apart. And the pseudo meteorites descended upon the earth, their focal point being the disgruntled Origin King.
*Boom*
*Boom*
*Boom*
*Boom*
The Origin King judged that staying on the ground was the wrong choice. Even if he was able to avoid the several fiery stones headed his way he may not be able to escape the explosions that would ensue unharmed. He wasn't just a space wielder. And he proved his diversity by taking to the skies, the winds Mane had riled up coming to the Origin King's aid and pushing him out of harm's way.
"That's smart," Mane admitted. But acknowledging the simple yet efficient solution of his rival didn't mean the young Supreme was going to do nothing about it. With a wave of his palm several meteorites were forcefully halted in their bid to reach the ground. And with another wave of his hand these meteorites went after the airborne Ancestor Origin.
"How is he even doing that?" Ancestor Origin frowned as he weaved in between three meteorites whilst avoiding the path of another. He had seen many with exceptional control over their elements, but none who could command so many and commanded them with such a degree of unity.
"Elemental Harmony," the Origin King frowned as his nose picked up the smell of a power that hadn't been seen in a long time. Though it smelled incomplete, the Origin King was sure of it. This was Elemental Harmony! Or at the very least, it was a variant of the obscure ability.
"It feels slightly unstable," the Origin King also noted. His dark red eyes easily saw through the false façade of limitless strength Mane was putting up. He looked at the young Supreme and saw his energy rioting, barely stable. The boy was struggling to keep this up.
"He wouldn't be able to maintain this kind of authority for long," Ancestor Origin concluded, causing him to secretly breathe a sigh of relief. After all, he couldn't avoid the meteorites forever. And just as he predicted, the meteorites remained on his tail for a couple of seconds more before they themselves burst into flames and were destroyed.
The Origin King was right. Elemental Telekinesis wasn't a skill that Mane could use freely. Just like many of his skills that were merely at the Beginner Proficiency phase, Mane could use it for a number of minutes at most. His current limit was 2 minutes, and though that was likely to increase in the future, that was in the future. The present wasn't looking so good.
"I have a few seconds – 15, maybe 20," Mane mumbled.
Blood escaped his nostrils as the two minutes came close to its end. His use of so many elements at once was taking its toll and causing its share of discomfort. But Mane ignored the pain. With his fingers he brushed aside his precious blood and with his lips he declared praise to the element of his birth.
"Element of destruction, element of might. Descend upon my enemy with this chaos of mine – Heaven's Kiss."
The lightning bolts that had been gathering in the sky all this while finally revealed their fangs. Each bolt was arrogant, yet for this occasion they put their arrogance aside and became one. And with synchronicity that would have humbled even the closets of twins, the newly created bolt weaved through the sky with the steps of a seasoned dancer and descended upon the flying Origin King.
"Sh*t!" Ancestor Origin swore and raised his arms above him. Lightning was lightning. He couldn't avoid it nor could he portal out of its way. So he created a space shield. This space shield was made in haste, yet it was two times larger than the one Ancestor Origin had created only a few moments ago. And without its consent it was put between Mane and nature, serving as the mediator that would save the Origin King.
*Boom*
The space shield received the full brunt of the attack with bravery it was forced to display. And unlike before it trembled and shook like an orphan battered by the merciless winter winds. This lightning bolt was different from the others Mane had ever summoned. For it didn't seem to fade! As long as the young Supreme's arm was outstretched the lightning bolt remained, seeking to tear apart the shield before it.
"Come on!" the Origin King screamed at his sore arms and pushed more power into the shield. His weapon of defense was reaching its limit and could take no more. Soon several cracks appeared upon its surface and even deeper ones stretched into its core, causing a well of anxiety to spring up in the Origin King's heart. It looked like the shield would break at any moment.
But fate was on his side. Before the shield could be broken and lightning allowed to eat its fill, Mane's power was exhausted. Elemental Harmony's time was up, and the young Supreme lost his unrivalled power. The relentless bolt swiftly faded and the dark clouds retreated. The skies became peaceful again and the turbulent winds ceased their battering.
A great dizziness invaded Mane's mind and he lost his footing.
"A chance," the Origin King's eyes lit up. And without any hesitation he created a portal and jumped into it. His destination was predictable. For he was aiming for Mane!
