Chapter 501 - The New Glow

Out of the rapturous energy, a figure came flying out, unable to handle the power of the one he struck. This person was sent flying into the barrier above. And crushed into the powerful dome with a deafening boom.

"Did he just push back a Mini Giant?" the Human Spiritualist asked in surprise. For the one who had been pushed back was indeed the Mini Giant!

"He smartly deflected the attack of the brute by focusing on hitting the handle of his axe. That way he was able to use the power of the idiot to his advantage. The Young Supreme basically used the Mini Giant's strength against him." The Slender Cat was no Scholar, but his superior eyesight as a member of his race came into play here. For he saw everything that happened. At the last moment before the clash, Mane had employed a technique.

"He isn't just strong, but smart as well," The White Fox stated, and the others nodded their heads.

"Truly a brute who doesn't think," Mane snorted in disdain as the figure of the Mini Giant came tumbling back onto the platform.

Right before their clash, Mane resorted to using Half-Moon's Counter. He wasn't a fool to think that he could take on the strength of a Pseudo Giant. After all, he had seen the dastardly brute destroy the platform with nothing but the swing of his axe! Mane's target all along was to drive the giant into the barrier.

The barrier around the platform was a powerful one, and it was deadly as well. Since it was made out of several elemental forces and Chaos itself, touching it was as dangerous as facing a head on attack from several powerful Ascenders. And though the Mini Giant had a tenacious spirit and wouldn't die from that, it would surely be gravely injured.

*Boom*

"Cough"

The figure of the Mini Giant lay motionless for a while, before he started coughing out some blood. There was a large wound on his back. And though it was healing slowly, the corrosive nature of Chaos made it such that even if the wound closed up, the damage would remain.

"I guess he's still alive," the Slender Cat stated as he lifted his sword and rushed towards Mane. "Human, back me up," he ordered as he sped away. Although his movements seemed simple, they were not. He moved in such a way that Mane couldn't get to the giant. After all, the Pseudo Giant was quite weak and helpless now. So he was just a lamb to the slaughter.

"I as well," the White Fox leaped up speedily with her daggers in hand. Although her aura wasn't as powerful as the Slender Cat's, it wasn't trifling either.

"Sure," the Human Scholar obliged before lifting her staff and summoning the forces of Chaos.

"Dare: Celeritas; Viribus; Vitae"

A yellow glow coated both the Slender Cat and the White Fox as they dashed towards Mane. Although the Human Scholar wasn't a Support Type Spiritualist, what she had cast were merely Low Level Leases. Once she was done with that, she began chanting a lengthy Lease, intent on delivering a powerful blow to Mane.

"As I thought, Spiritualists are pests," Mane frowned before allowing the darkness elements to engulf him. He didn't try to avoid the strike of the two coming towards him.

"Arrogant boy. Does he think he can take on both of us at once?" the White Fox scoffed seeing Mane's movements remained unchanged.

"It doesn't matter. Our task remains the same." The Slender Cat gripped his slender blade even stronger as he felt his abilities increasing due to the Scholar's enhancement. "It's not half bad" he thought to himself before he finally got to the one whose head he sought. However once he was close enough to Mane, he slowed down, allowing the White Fox to flash past him and get to Mane first.

"Absolute Darkness," Mane mumbled, allowing the darkness elements to take complete control of his body. Attacking any of those two with Evasive Killing would take a huge toll on him, so he didn't do that. But phasing through their attacks would be no problem.

"Bingo," the White Fox laughed enthusiastically seeing her blades flash past Mane neck. However, her smile didn't last for long. Soon she was left with her eyes opened widely in disbelief as Mane phased through her dagger and her as well, before flashing past the helpless Slender Cat. In less than a second he was right above the Mini Giant. Mane's form became tangible once more as Night's Kiss flashed towards the large head of the Mini Giant.

"You dare!" the Slender Cat raged as he flashed towards Mane's location. His sword was covered in a faint red beam as he struck towards Mane with ferocity he hadn't shown before.

"Half-Moon's Counter"

Mane calmly lifted up Night Mare deflected the strike back to its owner, sending the Slender Cat tumbling backwards. All the while, Mane's other sword was travelling towards the neck of the Mini Giant.

"Ugh"

Under the helpless expression of the immobilized brute, its head was chopped off before being engulfed in a torrent of blue flames.

"Just as I thought," Mane furrowed his brows before casting a look at the Human Scholar. The woman was still casting her lengthy Lease. She was the best person to go after now, but Mane did the opposite. He turned away from her and dashed towards the White Fox.

"We cannot use simple fighting techniques against a person who has great understanding of fighting techniques," the Slender Cat picked himself off the ground and wiped off the trickle of blood that had escaped the confines of his lips. He had struck with all his power in that attack. And receiving such might had injured him, albeit his injury being a slight one.

"I agree," the White Fox admitted. They had realised a few things by now. Not only was the boy strong, he was able to seamlessly employ powerful techniques at the right time. His timing and accuracy of movements were problematic. She and the Slender Cat weren't humanoid species.

They were beasts that had taken on the human form. Unlike the Winged Serpent that disdained doing such a thing, they had embraced the humanoid form since they became Nobles. But that also meant that they weren't able to fight at their strongest when in such forms. So they needed to revert to their default settings.

"Restore"

"Restore"

Mane quickly retreated feeling the vast energy of the two beings before him. Before their auras were strong, but now they were almost twice as powerful!

The first to complete her transformation was the White Fox. Mane had to admit that it was a very beautiful creature. With fur as white as snow and eyes that were as beautiful as lapis lazuli, even Mane was entranced by the creature. And upon her head was a small crown that granted her an air of nobility and uniqueness. Her long slender tail was the only thing that wasn't fully white. For there were streaks of red that run through and ruined the white consistency of the tail. However, the word ruin was a bit too strong. For the darker color made it appear more appealing. And much more enthralling. But unlike her humanoid frame, the White Fox was no small beast. It was a gigantic creature, towering above a hundred feet! Its claws were several meters long and gleamed dangerously in the light.

*Roar*

"Those are some sharp teeth," Mane admitted open seeing the powerful jaw of the White Fox snap open as it released a deafening roar. Those teeth were several times larger than he was. There was no way his energy coat would be able to withstand that thing's biting power.

*ROAR*

"He isn't bad either," Mane said as he cast his vision towards the transformed Slender Cat. Of the two races, his transformation was less impressive. He didn't grow as big, neither did he possess the noble aura of the White Fox lady, but he was no weakling.

Although he wasn't bigger than the White Fox, the Slender Cat was still a huge opponent. He towered over 50 meters. He was a large panther with black and red fur. His claws were dangerously sharp and his tail was as thin as the sword he was using before, although he had grown to such a size. It looked durable, and Mane was certain that it wasn't a mere decorative tail like the White Fox's. Just like the White Fox, he also had a crown on his head. But unlike the White Fox his crown gave him an air of savagery, not nobility. And Mane felt threatened by those deep red eyes.

"I guess I have to go all out then," Mane smiled slightly as he cracked his knuckles. Under the aura of Takeover this simple action looked more menacing than ever. The blue flames that covered his frame grew stronger as Mane pushed his power to its peak. He put Night Mare and Night's Kiss away, for shortly they will be of no use to him. And then he spoke, activating the Glow he had awakened when he became a Heaven Realmer.

"Glow: Titan's Descent"

*Boom*
