Chapter 502 - Titan's Descent

*Vroom*

Along with the sound of a premium grade engine came a change that stunned the three who were left alive – the Slender Cat, the White Fox, and the Human Scholar. For what they were seeing was beyond anything they had ever seen before.

"Yes. Tap into your true power." Back in Mane's mindscape Cronos had a huge smirk on as he observed the happenings of Mane's body. He didn't know how Mane had awakened this Glow, for it was so obsolete that from Zeus's generation that none had awakened it. And that was because they had abandoned the way of Titans. In fact it was more repulsive to them than it was shunned. And the fact that Mane had awakened it meant that he was so clueless about his heritage that he felt no repulsion to the power of the Titans. For no Glow would awaken when it felt rejected.

"What is that?" the Human Scholar thought to herself. Although she was stunned, she was still chanting her Lease. She wasn't the only one. The large eyes of the White Fox were filled with confusion, and the Slender Cat had unconsciously taken a step back from the immense pressure pushing down on him.

Back on the platform Mane's tiny figure was nowhere to be found. In its place was a huge humanoid figure. This figure was shorter than the White Fox, but bigger than the Slender Cat. For it towered over 70 meters in height. Its skin was made out of diamond, and it glistened in the light of the barrier. There were spikes protruding out of its elbows, knees and shoulders, and there was a red jewel embedded within its head. Yet when one looked at the facial features of this humanoid creature – its eyes, jawline and hair – they would notice that it was indeed Mane. For it had piercing blue eyes and a well sculpted jawline that was as exquisite as a masterclass carving. Long blonde hair fell down his shoulders, just next to the spikes.

As if that wasn't enough, the aura of Takeover was still cloaking Mane, elevating his strength to its peak. Blue Flames mingled with Takeover and brought out a menacing air that shook the barrier of the platform. Yet that wasn't the end. Large bolts of lightning escaped Mane's body and struck the platform at random locations, causing large dents and damage that needed the mending power of the barrier to rectify.

"Now then, shall we get started?" Mane's booming voice shook the ears of the Human Scholar and almost made her lose control of her own power. The ears of the White Fox subconsciously curled up and the Slender Cat growled lowly with some anxiety. He could feel Mane's aura and it was so much stronger than when he was in his human form. The fact that the boy could take on such a form was enough to prove that he really wasn't human. And his power was very threatening.

"If you won't move, then I will!" Mane's voice destabilized the auras of the two beasts as he rushed towards the White Fox. Although she was larger than him and the Slender Cat seemed the better target, Mane wasn't foolish enough to think so. The Slender Cat would definitely be more agile in such a state, especially since Mane was larger. However, the White Fox was much bigger, presenting a large surface area for multiple strikes. And that was why she had been targeted first.

*Boom*

Mane's movement caused a small sonic boom, and a hole so large that it could accommodate a small lake formed on the floor of the platform. Although it was mending rapidly, it was a deep hole, and would take some time for the healing process to be complete. And judging by the appearance of several heavy hitters on the platform, it was going to be difficult for its regeneration to keep up with the rate of damage.

The eyes of the White Fox flashed brightly when she saw Mane approaching. A white light escaped her eyes and descended upon Mane's figure so quickly that he wasn't able to avoid it. But Mane wasn't worried because she was using her Glow – Hypnosis. His Spirit was strong, and he had no fear concerning that skill. And his lack of caution didn't lead to any unforeseen circumstances, for he easily shrugged of the spiritual attack.

Although Mane had avoided her attack, the White Fox wasn't that bothered. She hadn't expected it to work in the first place. She was only hoping that it would delay Mane for just a little bit. Although it hadn't taken Mane long to break out of the attack, it was enough time for the White Fox to prepare.

*Glow: Body Hardening*

*Breath: Crystal Armor*

*Breath: Ray Gun*

A bright light engulfed the White Fox as she fortified her defenses. Her skin was quickly covered in scales that were as tough as steel. As if that wasn't enough, several crystals coalesced on her hardened skin and formed another barrier of defense, creating an armor that was as thick as Mane's entire fist!

"So its tail is no decoration either," Mane mumbled when he saw where the ray gun had appeared on the White Fox. And the location was her tail. The White Fox's tail grew longer and then it developed a small hole at its tip that shone with a faint red light. This was the ray gun. Mane thought it was going to be similar to the Emerald Crystal Monkey's drones – things that he could strategically destroy. But apparently it was not.

However, the White Fix wasn't the only one preparing. The Slender Cat wasn't going to underestimate Mane any more than he had so far. He also quickly activated the Glows he considered most convenient for such an occasion.

*Glow: Enhanced Senses*

*Glow: Unbreakable Claws*

*Glow: Heavenly Fire Burst*

The Slender Cat didn't change much. Its claws didn't show any visible changes, but Mane wasn't foolish enough to use himself as the test subject to understand the depth of its sharpness. However, it did experience a change in appearance. For once Heavenly Fire Burst was activated, the Slender Cat was covered entirely in flames, just like Mane. However, unlike Mane his flames weren't sea blue, but crimson red.

*Roar*

The White Fox released a powerful roar that was no weaker than the effect of Mane's voice. The Slender Cat who was to her side growled in a low voice before leaping at Mane with growing menace in its eyes.

"Wait your turn," Mane blasted out a fist covered entirely in fire and lighting towards the large panther in his way. The Slender Cat was mid air, but he still was capable of avoiding such a blow. He wouldn't have the rights to call himself a cat if he didn't.

He twisted his body and avoided the powerful blow by a hair's breadth. And he didn't just avoid the blow. He sent his sharp tail swinging towards Mane's neck with such speed that Mane had hardly any time to react, leaving him practically defenseless. Yet for some reason, Mane wasn't flustered. And when the sharp tail struck the young Supreme, it finally made sense why.

*Boom*

Like a twig striking an iron plate, Mane's skin easily shook of the impact of the tail strike. There wasn't even a scar left on Mane's neck. The Slender Cat was done for now. But Mane wasn't.

The eyes of the Young Supreme flashed cunningly before he swiftly turned towards the Slender Cat and threw another jab. The Slender Cat scowled in disdain as he attempted to avoid this as well. To it, Mane's strike was a bit too slow. But soon its disdain turned to alarm. For Mane hadn't forgotten that he was also a Scholar and Spiritualist.

"Augendae: Words of Power"

"Shackle"

The Slender Cat turned stiff for a brief period. Because it was a powerful beast, it regained control of its body and broke apart the shackles of Edict in no time. But even that brief amount of time was enough for Mane.

"Splintering Fist!"

Mane's fire and lightning coated fist crushed into the abdomen of the Slender Cat, accompanied by his ear shaking bellow.

*Bam*

Mane's fist connected squarely, breaking a few bones and sending the panther flying towards the barrier. The tool that had been put in place to prevent the Ascenders from leaving had become Mane's private weapon. And the Slender Cat would have crashed into the barrier like Mane wanted if not for someone else's interruption.

"Obice"

The Human Spiritualist showed her impressive talent by dividing her mind and casting a Barrier Lease although she still wasn't done with whatever Lease she was chanting. A transparent barrier appeared in the Slender Cat's trajectory and intercepted his unwilling march to the platform's barrier, much to Mane's annoyance.

*Boom*

The Slender Cat crashed into the conjured barrier with a deafening boom. He quickly leaped back up, having sustained minimal injuries from crushing into the Spiritualist's barrier. However he was wobbling. After all, Mane's strike wasn't a light one. And though its broken bones were healing rapidly under the effects of its regeneration glow, it was not going to have much of an impact on the fight now.

"What an annoying human," Mane stated with a strange smile before turning his attention back to the White Fox which was closing in on him relying on the fact that he was currently distracted. Even after this, he still didn't attack the Human Scholar!
