Chapter 73 - ELYSIAN DRAGON KNIGHTS

CHAPTER 73: ELYSIAN DRAGON KNIGHTS

ALPHONSE FARADEISS

The wind in the stratosphere is twice colder than a minute before. We have finally crossed the border that divides the empire of Alterra and Elysia, and now we are hovering on top of the snowy mountain range. My Elemental Dragon maintained its speed of two hundred kilometers per hour as we carefully gaze around the surroundings for any signs of the airship we're chasing.

I know that Major General Valesmith's instincts about the princess not being here is logical, so we are here under his orders to double-check if his hunch is right. Besides, our efforts of flying over here won't be wasted if we managed to capture the airship and extract information about the princess's whereabouts.

"Senor, look!" Danielle handed me her masquerade-looking telescope as she pointed at the mountain that is on the northwest.

When I tried the telescope myself, I finally found what we're looking for. It's a blue airship that is currently docked in the middle part of the mountain, which is about two miles from here. I can see that steam is still rising up from that airship's chimney, so that means they have just parked that vessel a few minutes ago.

"Bingo," I muttered. "Z, turn twenty degrees and full speed ahead."

"Roger that, master!" My Elemental Dragon answered via telepathy. Then it channeled fire, electricity, and wind element on its wings to boost forward twice the speed.

It only took us two minutes just to reach our destination. As soon as my Elemental Dragon landed, Danielle and his dragonoid Nathaniel hopped out and started to step on the hard snow. Danielle revealed her bladed fans, while Nathaniel immediately buffed his body with his muscle-adding magic. We are about to check the perimeter for some vantage points and traps, but it seems unnecessary because the airship seems to just have landed. The enemy wouldn't have enough time to prepare for ambush because we got here earlier than they must have thought.

Suddenly, the airship opened its hatch, revealing tough-looking people that seems to be our enemy. They seem to be waiting for us, but they didn't look like they were luring us to a trap either.

There are five persons who made their entrance, which comprises of two humans and three dragonoids. The two humans are wearing a white-and-gold military uniform that has the sigil of a golden dragon's head, which means they are from Elysia's Dragon Knight Academy. They are with their respective dragonoids, and they are also accompanied by one peculiar dragonoid who does not need a knight in order to turn into a powerful dragon. Lothar Pendragon is with them.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen." One of the enemy dragon knights bowed. This dragon knight is a brown chubby man with spiky pineapple hair, which is somewhat small to his build. He also has small eyes and muscular biceps, only a little smaller than those of Nathaniel's. I guess that this bastard has the very same age as mine. This dragon knight introduced himself as he maintained his politeness. "My name is Abel Urias, an Elysian Dragon Knight."

The other human is a skinny sexy blonde girl with white complexion. This knight-chick is wearing more revealing clothing under her dragon knight jacket. She's wearing short shorts and a brasserie-like upper dress. Her three ponytails waved as she jollily introduced herself. "Heya! My name is Maxi Goldrion! Nice to meet you, Alterran dragon knights!"

"Oui, likewise." Danielle made a kind response with a polite flip of her skirt.

However, I don't intend to welcome them with open arms as it is obvious that they are our enemies. "Fuck off, will ya," I said to them.

"Hahaha!" The enemy dragon knight Abel laughed. "I'm sorry to have met you in this circumstance, but as fellow dragon knights, we have to do the honor of introducing ourselves before we kill you."

"You don't need to do that. Fuck off, will you two." I replied coldly.

"Awww, don't be so stingy!" The sexy dragon knight Maxi cried. "We need to have fun while killing each other!"

I couldn't care less about these Elysian Dragon Knights. They may be powerful, but little did they know that they are facing two of the most skillful dragon knights in Alterra. We dragon knights who are members of the Alterran Black Operations are dubbed to be on the same level of Pentagram Knights. I've even completed two Pentagram Challenges myself.

My eyes gazed on the real threat in front. Lothar Pendragon, the legendary dragon of Elysia. His power is beyond those Pentagram Knights I have faced with. That legendary dragonoid also displayed that he can use Elform and he easily defeated Serena. Now that we have met again, I think this will be a good matchup for us. I can finally try Z's new power on him.

"Where are your reinforcements?" Lothar Pendragon asked while he crossed his arms and chinned up. "If there are only two dragon knights, this battle would be an overkill."

"Don't fucking underestimate us, old man." I mimicked the smile of a dog. "You better have your middle-aged diapers equipped, because you're gonna shit out your lunch."

"If my memory serves, I single-handedly defeated you two, including your dragons. Serena Maizono is not even enough to put a scratch on me. What makes you think that you can defeat me?" Lothar Pendragon laughed.

"You'll see, fucker," I said. Then, I jumped to the main topic. "Where the fuck is the princess?"

"Oh, that noisy princess?" The blonde-haired enemy dragon knight jumped unto our conversation. "She must be on Sargus right now. We served as a diversion by having the three airships scatter."

"Hey, Maxi! Don't just blurt out our plans like that!" The enemy dragon knight Abel scolded.

"It doesn't matter, Abel. We've been found out. Since there are only two dragon knights who went this way, they should have guessed the masterplan of His Majesty. The main retrieval force of Alterra should be marching towards the borders of Sargus." Maxi said.

"You shouldn't have said that too! That's His Majesty's plans!" Abel cried.

It amazed me that these noisy knights know the move of opposing parties. It also gives a chill in my spine that they seem to know what really is happening. It's like they have planned this thoroughly, and I have a hunch that they are hiding an ace counterplan for this kidnapping incident.

Anyway, I'm bored. I'm getting sleepy in this freezing temperature. I'm not in the mood in watching a comical conversation between the enemies, so I unleashed my chains and coated each and every inch of my weapon with various elemental magic.

"Senor Alphonse, wait," Danielle said. "We need to contact Valesmith first."

"I think that's not necessary," I said. "Valesmith will be marching on full force with all dragon knights in the borders of Sargus. He won't be needing our help."

Suddenly, before Danielle could touch the radio, my radio beeped. I set it on loudspeaker so that Danielle and Nathaniel could hear it. There are several explosions and gunshots that made it hard to hear, but Major General Valesmith's words are still audible.

"Alphonse, Danielle, we have a positive ID on the princess. We are currently raiding the airship, and we got the situation under control. What's your status, over?"

"We have also located the decoy airship, and we have a positive ID on Lothar Pendragon. Requesting permission to engage the enemy." I said with a smile.

"Senor Alphonse…" Danielle called me with a worried tone.

For three seconds, the radio on the other side just gave explosion noises. It seemed that our leader is thinking and qualifying my request under his mind. On the fourth second, Valesmith finally asked me again.

"What's the probability of success in capturing Lothar Pendragon?"

"Ninety-fucking-nine percent, sir." I smiled.

The enemy dragon knights and the legendary dragonoid must have heard my conversation to my leader. I saw Lothar Pendragon's eyebrows irked when I said my probability of winning my fight against him is almost absolute. He must have been offended that I'm underestimating him right in front of his fucking face.

Valesmith chuckled. "Permission granted, Sir Faradeiss. Good luck. Out." Then the communications went off.

As I threw my radio back to my jacket, I saw Lothar Pendragon readying his absurdly gigantic buster sword. He stabbed it on the hard snowy ground and glared at me.

"That arrogance will be your grave, Sir Alphonse Faradeiss."

"I told you, you're going to shit yourself." I smiled back.

"Senor, what is your plan in fighting the enemies?" Danielle asked in a worried tone. Right now, I know she's doubting my words and abilities. We really got our asses handed to us by Lothar during our last fight, but now, it's different.

"It's easy," I answered as I pointed my thumb on my own self. "You take the two dragon knights, I will take Lothar Pendragon myself."

Finally, Danielle smirked. "Senor Alphonse, I've known you for being arrogant, but I've never known you for being a retard. Activating Vesryn Pulse!"

Suddenly, Danielle held her heart and shouted out loud. Using this ancient magic that connects her heart with her dragonoid Nathaniel, he transformed into a tall muscular dragon which is called Muscleflex Dragon. Seeing her getting serious in this incoming fight pumps me up too.

"Groooooooooh!!!" The Muscleflex Dragon roared as it displayed its bulky triceps and chest muscles.

"I'm not letting you show off on your own, Senor." Danielle smiled.

Seeing that both Alterran dragon knights have revealed their dragons, the dragon knights of Elysia also made their move. They held their chests and the dragonoids behind them immediately glowed with golden light.

"Activating Vesryn Pulse!"
