Chapter 41 - It's Not My Fault

After Ridhwan managed to calm Nurul down, he tried to call the CEO of Purnama without stopping. Every time he called, the line would be busy.

It took him almost two hours until his call was answered.

"Hi, I am Ridhwan, the CEO of Starlight company. I would like to speak to your CEO as soon as possible." Ridhwan did not even give the receiver the chance to speak.

He could hear the person on the other line snorted, however he was more pissed off.

One minute later, his call was transferred to the CEO of Purnama.

"Shasha is on the line. Who am I speaking to?" I already knew that it was Ridhwan on the other line, but I felt like pissing him off.

Ridhwan exhaled heavily. He must be mad. Even his breathing disgusted me. All those memories that I had with him turned into ashes of anger.

"I am the CEO of Starlight and I would like to talk to you about my model. It seems that your company is trying to make my model look bad. What has actually happened? How did my model ended up being a backdrop?" His voice was shaking, but he was trying to be professional.

Hearing his voice… Was Ridhwan being professional and care for his model? Or was he just being a normal man that wanted to protect his woman? Woman… It used to be me. I did not give him something valuable, unlike Nurul.

"Well, Mr Ridhwan.." I leaned against my soft chair and crossed my legs in the office. As calm as my position, I explained to him. "Apparently, it was Miss Nurul that chose the colour of the shawl herself. In fact, she snatched it from the other model. Since Miss Nurul is not new to the industry, I assumed that she chose the colour as she knew that it suited her best. It was never my intention to make her backdrop."

Ridhwan let out an audible sigh. It seemed that he had cooled down.

"What about her angles? She looks really bad," Ridhwan pinpointed another one.

I smirked. "As a model, she should know her angles very well. We've given her the concept and even guided her to pose, but she refused it and wanted to pose and adjust everything to herself. My apologies, Mr Ridhwan but my photographer had a very rough time. It seems that it's unlikely for me to collaborate with you in the future. I have a meeting in five minutes and I need to hang up now."

"Wa-wait!" Ridhwan stopped me.

My smile widened. I like to hear the sound of his panic voice! It was so satisfying. I raised my eyebrow. "Yes, Mr Ridhwan?"

"My bad. I apologize if my model did not cooperate with your team the other day. I hope that we could still collaborate in the near future," his tone sounded like he was pleading.

I gave a cold response and hung up. "I'll have to think about that."
