Everyone was getting ready for the party. After all, it was the celebration of Purnama's new collection. The massive chandelier in the middle of the ballroom already showed how exclusive the party was.
While everyone that was invited were enjoying the atmosphere, I was enjoying the view of them from the second floor. All of them were busy, talking about business, the designer of their clothes and whatsoever.
Waiza and Suleiman were standing behind me with their hands by their side.
"Let the party begin," I spoke in a low, husky voice.
Both of my assistants nodded and started to execute their tasks for tonight. Ulfah was beautiful in her long sleeve ivory maxi satin dress. Of course, all of my employees of Purnama had to look the best in the ballroom. It's their night to shine… And mine as well.
Ulfah cleared her throat as she walked to the stage and grabbed the microphone. What a typical way to get everyone's attention. I could see Nurul and Ridhwan, with their annoyed expressions towards Ulfah.
Nurul was wearing a silver sequin mini dress with side ruffle details while Ridhwan wore the typical suit like every man. Nurul did not let go of Ridhwan's arm from the moment she entered the ballroom. Oh please, no one's going to steal your man.
"We are very excited to present to you our new collection of Purnama. Setengah will launch tomorrow in all outlets across Singapore. However, it is not only what we are celebrating. Tonight, we would like to introduce to you our founder of Purnama. She is not only the founder of Purnama, but she is also the chairwoman of NNN Records," I could see Ulfah's proud face as she spoke with confidence.
Ulfah's right hand signaled everyone's attention to the spiral staircase at the side of the room. It was my turn to shine. "Presenting to you, founder of Purnama and the chairwoman of NNN Records, Natasha!"
I walked down the staircase elegantly with my open-back mermaid black maxi dress with ruched detail. I purposely had my hair styled waterfall braids like how I used to and did not have any coloured contact lenses.
Reporters were busy taking pictures of me as I got down the staircase and strode beautifully towards Ulfah. Ulfah passed the microphone to me and left the small stage.
"Thank you, Ulfah. My name is Natasha and I am the founder of Purnama. Tonight, we are celebrating the launch of the new collection. I am pleased and grateful that I have very loyal and talented employees as my support. All of them will make it big in the fashion world, provided if they're not slacking," everyone chuckled at my last sentence.
My eyes were on Nurul and Ridhwan. Their eyes were burning in anger. I love this.
"However, I would like to speak about some matters before the celebration begins. I am sure everyone wonders with me being the chairwoman of NNN Records. I am married to Nurhan way back. I apologise for making it unannounced as I want people to know me for the hard work that I have made for Purnama by myself and not because of my late husband's influence. I would like to use this chance for us to pray to my late husband, Al-Fatihah." I looked down as I started to recite the surah.
