Serina (03): "That's it, Glynda, you're doing good." Serina said as she dodged out of the way from a massive ball of water Glynda shot at her.
Glynda: "You say that, but I haven't been able to hit you once." Glynda panted as she sent a wind blade at Serina. "Not once in these two weeks I have been able to get even close."
Serina: "You've just been focusing on attacking," Serina told her, before sending a mote of light shooting at her. "Now it's time for you to focus on defense! Dodge!"
.
Glynda didn't need to be told twice and sidestepped the mote of light before retaliating with a bolt of lightning. Serina just stood her ground and formed a shield with her magic to block the lightning. As the lightning struck the shield, Serina didn't let up and shot another mote of light at Glynda. Glynda, out of breath and low on mana, barely dodged out of the way before sending a stray pebble from the floor at Serina. Serina merely caught the pebble in her hand and crushed it.
.
Serina: "That's enough for now," Serina said as she could feel how little mana Glynda had left. "You did well on the offensive when all you needed to do was dodge. Take a breather and we'll pick this up tomorrow. For now, go take care of your kid."
Glynda: "Th... Thank you." Glynda panted as she slowly stood and walked out of the training area they were in.
.
Serina sighed. Glynda was coming along quite well, but she was still far away from being able to help with anything just yet. She still needed to focus on how much mana she expends during their spars along with her stamina. Serina knew that Glynda wanted to help with what needed to be done around Oasis, but that time was still years from now. Serina giggled, Logan had been helpful due to his unique abilities. But Glynda wasn't so useless as she had felt. Her dive was what was making the gap she had close rapidly.
.
The next day rolled around as Serina and Logan cooked again for everyone in Oasis. 02 cracked some joke about Logan being a house husband, 03 chided him, and the rest just ignored the two. Once breakfast was over, Glynda was dragged away by Serina for more training. Logan, on the other hand, was taken by Volcan (04) to help with some of the prep work needed before they could call down the Brother Gods.
.
The weeks soon past by in droves as Logan and Glynda did all they could to prepare for the Brother Gods. They were learning everything they could from Magus and the homunculus. Glynda learning how to control her magic and Logan learning the more technical side of magic. Dorothy was kept company by Tasmin (05) when they couldn't watch her or Magus when he was bored.
.
Soon, Logan and Glynda's vacation days were at an end. And with them, their stay with Magus and the homunculus.

Magus: "I take it you're here to tell me you must leave?" Magus asked as he read through a tome of magic.
Logan: "Yea, we can't stay here any longer than we have." Logan told him. "We appreciate all that you've done for the three of us."
Magus: "And I, you." Magus told Logan, slightly confusing him. "It's been quite a long time since these halls have been filled with joyous laughter and pleasant emotions."
Logan: "If we could stay, I gladly continue to make those things more often." Logan replied. "But we can't, with my position and duties as the strongest Hunter, I can't. Glynda can't disappear due to her family left outside, the same as mine. Dorothy can't due to her being in the public system."
Magus: "I know." Magus sighed. "If it wasn't for those things, I would ask you to disappear from the outside world." He sighed again. "And with that system of yours, things we have been struggling with have become a thing of the past. I truly wish you could stay."
.
Logan and Magus talked for a bit longer and then Logan said his goodbyes. Leaving Magus to his tome, unaware that this would most likely be the last time the two would meet. And ignorant of the silent tears that slowly fell down Magus's face.
.
Magus: "I'm sorry Logan." Magus spoke after Logan left. "The next time we meet will be at our graves."

Ozpin: "How was your trip?" Ozpin asked as soon as Logan, Glynda, and Dorothy arrived in his office. "You all certainly seem stronger than when you left."
Glynda: "It was lovely." Glynda said as she held Dorothy. "We saw many towns and camped outside. And Dorothy here got to see fireflies."
Logan: "We also did train a bit." Logan lightly chuckled at Glynda's interpretation of their time on Oasis.
Salem: "That's good, we'd thought you just wanted some time to yourselves." Salem said with a hand on her cheek. "Possibly making a sibling for Dorothy." She teased.
Glynda: "There's that too." Glynda said to which Logan just blushed and looked away.
Logan: "Not in front of Dorothy, please." Logan pleaded.
Glynda: "It's fine, she's asleep."
Dorothy: "BAby BOthor." Dorothy mumbled in her sleep.
Logan: "You were saying?" Logan said with a slight smirk.
Glynda: "Oh hush you." Glynda threatened.
Ozpin: "Anyway," Ozpin coughed to get their attention back. "Glad to have you back before the school year starts. I would have been pulling my hair to find a professor like you two." He chuckled. "I highly doubt that they'll have the same je ne sais quoi as you call it or do either."
Logan: "Thanks." Logan said as he took Dorothy from Glynda. "If we don't have anything to discuss, I'm going to go put Dorothy in her bed. I rather her not get a cramp in her neck this early in her life."
Salem: "We just wanted to welcome you back, that's all."
Glynda: "Thank you, it's good to be back." Glynda spoke for both her and Logan. "Well then, we'll be leaving. Good night."
Ozpin: "You too."
