Inside a big wooden house, the adults of the Sun clan gathered to discuss a topic of utmost importance. Their ancestor claim.
"All the young who hadn't reached the twentieth level had been able to reach it overnight thanks to the boost we received." A man with no hair on the top of his head and light brown skin stated.
"When we first tested it, we thought it was a one-time thing, but we were wrong. After some rigorous testing on the anima branch clans and our main clan, we discovered the boost was there." A black woman with glasses and short red hair stated while looking at a notepad.
Many of the adults around had a downcast expression.
The woman continued, "But the problem which had plagued our clan is still there. We can't breakthrough pass level 20."
Now all adults had the same downcast expression going around. Some clenched their fists while others thought of how unfair the world was to their clan.
"If only one of us could go beyond level 20…" A woman with a honey skin tone let escape loud enough.
"Then your whole clan would be able to take resistance inside a gourd." An unfamiliar voice finished the woman's sentence.
Every adult got on alert. Someone they didn't know was with them. It was easy for them to notice. The clan only numbered in within the hundreds. And most were spirit beasts with their bloodline.
"Be at ease, Sun clan. I'm not an enemy." Blue and green streams of energy gathered in the middle of the room.
"These…are the purest form of Yin and Yang!" One of the adults shouted in recognition.
The two energy met and formed a circle on the ground. This circle had a Yin half and a Yang half. It was a Yin Yang symbol.
A monkey raised from the symbol as if coming out of an elevator. This monkey had a red horse bottom.
"Isn't that a baboon monkey?"
"Yes, it certainly looks like it. Those spirit beast are masters of dual cultivation like us."
The adults recognized the species of the monkey right away due to the knowledge they gathered throughout generations.
"Maybe, is that our ancestor?" One of the adults stated with an excited expression.
"It is easy to understand why you'd think that." The baboon monkey began. "But, unfortunately, I'm not your ancestor. But I'm related to you all as your ancestor was one of my siblings."
Many lost the hope they had when they heard the baboon monkey saying he wasn't their ancestor. Although their excitement returned when he revealed he was a sibling of their ancestor.
"Listen carefully, as I don't have much time." The baboon monkey used his energy to bring forth four different artifacts. They were damaged.
The adults recognized three of the artifacts right away. A broken staff, a hole filled gourd and the liquid form of a nimbus. The last one was a golden headband or crown that was undamaged.
"These artifacts." The adults stated as one. They all had an idea who they belong to.
"These artifacts are from your ancestor." The baboon stated.
"Are these soul-bound?" One of the adults asked what everyone had in their minds.
"Yes." The baboons replied made everyone's face just darkened.
"Then, this means our ancestor is dead, isn't it?" One of the adults stammered.
"Unfortunately." The baboon replied. "But that isn't why I brought these out. It was for them to choose their new master and the one that will save you all from ."
Everyone was surprised by what the baboon said. And just when they were about to ask further, someone entered into the room.
He was Ethan, being followed by Ella close to by. The two of them had five red wolf cubs on their hands.
"Their energy!" Someone yelled.
"This quality…They went beyond level 20!" Another stated, shocking everyone in the room but the baboon.
***
One moment I'm learning the intent language, then I end up having five red little cubs because Ella and I let ourselves get to in tune with nature, which was required for us to learn the intent language.
I wasn't surprised at the boost I received from having the first cub. Having children gave a lot of energy for cultivation. This all happened because of one the natures of Yang, which was life. So creating life gives a lot of energy to our clan for cultivation.
But the thing that surprised me the most was the amount of energy. It was too much. So much so I thought I was going to explode. Then it happened. We went beyond level 20. Something I could never do in the future-past.
The energy we gathered so much that it compressed by itself, increasing its quality and allowing to "level up" to level 21.
The first cub was born within 12 hours. Nothing new. Our clan offspring only take that long to be born. Plus, it takes another 12 hours to grow strong enough to walk. So yeah, all members of our clan can walk within the first day of being born, but they are not any smarter. They are babies after all.
We dual cultivated some more as if we were possessed by something. So we ended up having five cubs within five days. But the thing that surprised me was that Ella and I reached level 23.
It seemed like we could cultivate normally. Not only that. I impregnated Ella five times! I didn't have such fertility when we had kids last time!
Intrigued by what happened, but excited for somehow breaking the curse that limited the clan, I ran with three of my children on my arms while Ella followed me with the other two.
I remembered today was the weekly meeting of the clan, so I went to the building. Only to be shocked by the presence of a baboon monkey standing in the middle of the room. The Yin and Yang energy coming from him were so faint that I'd missed it if my senses hadn't improved with my level up.
Though it was faint, the quality of it was high. Higher than any cultivator I've met. I dare say this monkey was the most powerful cultivator I have ever met.
