It felt much better after a cup of coffee. Hisila looked out the transparent glass at the park. Two girls caught her attention, one girl was holding a paper high up and the other one was jumping to take it back. It reminded her of the times Etisha would take her stuffs and run off. She laughed recalling those moments. At sudden laughter of Hisila, Sejun looked at her then out to see what it was, but couldnt find anything funny enough, so gave a curious questioning look to her. Feeling the stare of Sejun, she looked back at him, Just reminiscing all those happy times with Etisha. She got up to leave and Sejun followed her close by. I will drop you oft to home. He said.
Thanks smiling, she took his hand and started walking happily. Sejun blushed a bit and looked away to hide his red face.
You are the best you know Hisila squeezed his hand lightly, and he looked at him wondering what earned him this praise.
You helped me clear my mind. If you hadnt forced me to accompany you, I would still be on my bed sulking. Our bond is not that weak for this little chaos to break us apart. She stopped walking and turned to Sejun and gave him a warm thankful hug. You saved me from losing my best friend.
Blushing, he gave her a quick welcome hug, Im glad to see you smile again.
Hand in hand they chatted all the way back.
See you later, Ive got to hurry to class now. She couldnt wait to see Etisha at university.
Ok see you. He waved goodbye and turned to leave. After a few steps, he paused and asked Will you go to Amusement Park with me this Saturday?
Ya sure she smiled and hurried back in the house.
Sejun too went his way whistling happily.
In the class, Hisila couldnt find Etisha, she had not come. She sat in her original seat with Etisha. Vintuna came over to ask her to accompany her. Thanks, but I feel the happiest sitting beside Etisha. She chirped happily. Giving her whatever look, Vintuna returned to her seat. May be I should have stopped by her house she thought to herself but she couldnt bring herself to go to Etishas house after how she behaved and decided to talk to her in class. She called her without answer, so she texted her Hi and waited for reply. It was already lunchtime, it was unusual for her to not reply, so she figured, Etisha must have gone cycling leaving the phone at home, cycling had always been her coping mechanism. Nhuja came in to class and not seeing Etisha, came over to her to ask, where is she? Hisila looked at him thinking how Sejun was a million times better than him. Gosh, why am I thinking of Sejun.
Oh right, you two are no more friends now with a smirk, Nhuja turned to leave.
We are sisters until death parts us, just coz we didnt talk for a few days doesnt mean its over. But then how can one expect a lone wolf to understand that.
Taken aback by her words, Nhuja turned back to her, I see someone has as sharp tongue as her. Wonder where sweet Hisi is gone and gave her a flirtatious smile.
What can I say, I tend to be an emotional fool. But once in a while, you pick the right thing, the exact best thing. Every day, the moment you open your eyes and pull off your blankets, that's what you hope for. The sunshine on your face, warm enough to make your heart sing.
He gave her a confused look.
People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges. It will be good for you, if you realize it before its too late.
Annoyed, Nhuja stormed out of the room.
Hisila called Sejun and told what happened and had a good laugh describing the face of Nhuja when he left. She couldnt wait to tell all this to Etisha too. Sejun offered to pick her up after class to go over at Etishas together. She was grateful to this, as she really had been feeling scared to go on her own. She had to hung up as the lunch break was over. Wondering if the lunch break was cut off short today, she checked the time. Ok that was stupid of me to think that. Hisila rolled her eyes and picked up her bag to head to art class. She felt mixed feeling of excitement and nervousness about meeting Etisha, but knowing Sejun will be there with her made her feel much better. She happily waited for all classes to be over, STUPID TIME, when you need more time, hours fly within seconds; now I want the day to be over soon, time seems to be sleeping!
Nhuja couldnt enjoy the day as he had hoped to. He felt irritated and annoyed. Throughout the day, her words about walls kept ringing in his head. Every human needs a wall to defend themselves, those who believe in building bridges over walls are fools, they will only leave themselves vulnerable and open to be hurt by others...
