The two now stood at the door.They had taken quite a long time and had returned with something else in their arms.
"What is that?" Tokyo's brother looked at the bundle in her arms.
"Hiro, you know how I always wanted a pet. Santos and I found a puppy but he's sick, can we keep him please." She looked at him with huge puppy eyes until she noticed him give in.
"Its not like I can say no." there was indeed various reasons why he wasn't allowed to say no.
"Thank you!!" she took the puppy and put it in her room. By the looks of it, it had been dumped in the alley that same day.
"Tokyo come and eat, don't make the guests wait."
The four sat at the small diner table talking and eating.
"Where did you get the jacket?" he looked at the red jacket she wore. She must have forgot to take it off before coming in.
"Isn't that your jacket, baby? You didn't have it on when we left the house." she looked at the both of them suspiciously.
"Hiro, Ms. Santos the truth is me and your son had already met at school this morning. He let me borrow his sweater because.... it was cold in the classroom." she gave him a sly smile.
"Oh what a pleasant surprise, then you two are already friends. That's amazing my baby has never made a friend so fast." friends wasn't exactly true.
"Tokyo, Santos you two can go bathe the puppy in warm water if you're done with your dinner." Hiro picked up a bottle of shampoo from a bag and handed it to them.
Tokyo got up and pulled Santos out of the seat and into her room. Taking the puppy and a small towel the two went to the bathroom.
"I just realized you never told me your real name I've been calling you by your last name" she looked at him while warming up the water.
"Thats what everyone calls me." she turned her head at an angle.
"My entire name is Leonardo Miguel Santos."he thought she wanted to call him by his name.
"Are we really friends like your mom said?" she dried the puppy in the towel.
"Yeah I mean if you want to be.We don't have to if you don't want to." he looked down.
"No I want that... I want to be friends. I've never had a real friend." she hugged on to the puppy in her arms.
The closest thing to a friend she had ever had was Hiro and even he was forced to take care of her even if he didn't want to.
"What are you going to name him?" he picked up the fragile little puppy.
"I think I want to call him Leo. If that's okay with you?" it was his dog too and she thought it was cute.
"Baby, we're leaving lets go!" his mom called, the two ran to the door.
"Yeah I like that name, you know Princess you're not that bad. See you tomorrow." he followed his mom out the door.
"Princess? Young Ma... I mean Tokyo be careful with that boy." he almost made a mistake but it was force of habit.
"Hiro, don't worry I won't hurt him.He's my friend now." she walked into her room leaving him in the hallway.
"Its not him I'm afraid will get hurt..." he returned to his room with a long sigh.
