Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Conquer her man!

The exposition of Yingxue's daring stunt had stunned the nation that night, bringing a storm of conversations. Even to edges where she had yet to be popularized, the next day her name would have become the norm.

At the end of her concert, she took the time to interact with her fans from the stage, answering many of their questions while quick wittedly dodging through the personal ones.

Fans were chosen and handed mics for their inquiries but even then, there were a select few that still tried to get their questions in a different way.

"Do you have a boyfriend!" someone had yelled at the top of their lungs.

Yingxue blinked unsurprised at the voice's direction. She couldn't help but chuckle lightly, as if completely amused by it. Usually she would never cater to those that didn't use the mic to speak, but this time her movements indicated a possible answer.

The crowd already had their phones out and ready by then, recording the entire Q and A session. But it was this particular question that made the many lads focus their ears and phone cameras to the large screen displaying her face.

Yingxue looked provocatively at the concert camera in front of her. "Do I have a boyfriend? Hahahaha! Hilarious. Do I look like I 𝘯𝘦𝘦π˜₯ one?"

She had one hand gripping her hip and a devilish smile playing on her lips. That very image burned into the minds of her fans, striking straight into their cores.

Yes. She was charismatic alright. But more than that, she was a force. Was there really any man that would be suited for her? Just thinking of a man conquering the goddess left a bad taste in their mouths.

No... No! No man would conquer her! In fact.. She will conquer her man!

A queer thought oddly started to blossom within the minds of her fans...

.....

The very next day, Yingxue made headlines.

'Young star at the top of her game!'

'Soaring through the air! Truly Huaxia's angel'.

'Cannot be conquered by just ANY man!'

'Yingxue provoking young lads and ladies alike but everyone LOVES it!'

'Is there anyone in Huaxia that can actually contest against the incontestable siren?'

Even on Twitter, her videos and images were being spread like wildfire. Yingxue had looked through a bunch of them, not holding back with giving out hearts and retweets despite her lofty position. It gave her fanbase, the Snowflakes, a sense of pride.

"You sure give your fans so much attention, Feifei," a voice sounded behind the star's ear.

Yingxue jumped in surprise, nearly dropping her phone, and turned around. "Dammit, Meimei! You scared me!" she patted her chest with her phone in hand.

"Heh," the young girl with pigtails grinned and shrugged back. She had sparkly golden highlights woven into her black braids. "I'm the 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 one that can creep up on you. Who else could it be. Can't help that part of my job is to be sneaky."

"Uhuh," Yingxue glimpsed at the shifty girl's golden shirt that clearly said 'Security Acting Head'. What part of that had to do with sneaking around, she had no clue. "Anyway, you should really stop calling me Feifei here."

Meimei shrugged at the words and stuck out her tongue. "It's your dressing room. Don't worry, I thoroughly checked the area before sneaking in."

BOOM! The door slammed open.

"Feifei! You really did it this time didn't cha!" Rouhe barged into the room with Noah, Rika and Aiyan in tow.

Yingxue quickly glared at Meimei who looked back sheepishly.

"Well they're the only people with clearance in the area.." the security girl giggled.

"Sigh," Yingxue quickly accepted her fate and smiled. "You guys, I'm honestly happy you're here. But really, at this rate you're never going to get out of the habit of calling me Feifei. It's been years."

Everyone laughed in response.

"We can't help it, and you aren't helping us either," said Rika, flinging her blonde hair back gracefully.

"Yeah. Who told you to fly around so much on stage. We can't help but call you Feifei now more than ever," Noah jumped in.

"You remember the only reason we called you Feifei in the first place is because of how crazy you were as a child," Rouhe joked. He started flapping his arms around like a bird and circling the room. "You kept on climbing and jumping off of high places, climbing up the roofs and easily swinging on those giant jungle gyms. Uncle was pretty sure you thought you were some monkey or bird at one point."

Yingxue felt her ears go red. Such a story being brought up at this time was extremely embarrassing for a girl her age. They laughed at her adorable reaction.

It was true. She loved being in the air and the feeling of floating up high. It felt the most free; where she could wash away all emotions and just focus on being thankful she was alive. Whether it was floating with the wind as a cloud or soaring across the sky as a bird, she loved everything about it.

"And now it's all come full circle!" Aiyan giggled. "Only this time you're flying in front of millions!"

"Fine! Fine!" the embarrassed girl gave up exasperatedly. "I can't help that I enjoy being so high up. Not even Dad and brother Tao could stop me. I guess it wouldn't be too conspicuous even if you guys called me Feifei. But maybe you should give it some time to fully meld with the public for a few months first?"

"Hahaha! Sure!"

"That's good enough for me!"

"Why not!"

They nodded and accepted. But Yingxue still wasn't having it.

"Remember to keep it to a bare minimum. Don't call me that if you can help it. I still have to come and go as Yingfei you know."

"Tsk." "Oh yeah.." "That's true.." They moaned exasperatedly. "Then maybe we really should refrain from using it anymore..."

"It's alright guys! We still see each other outside. I'll always be Feifei then!" Yingxue grinned.

Aiyan muttered beside her, "But that's when you turn a whole 180 on us."

"You're complaining more on my look than my personality on that one," Yingxue remarked with eyes rolled.

"It can be both!" her best friend defended with her hands up, bringing a bout of laughter from the rest of them.

They fully realized that maybe it was safer just calling her Yingxue at all times, especially during work. It just comes out and usually a few times wouldn't hurt. But they knew her safety was always the number one priority. Getting out of a habit was hard but it was something they would definitely get done when deciding on it. So they officially agreed that they would not call her Feifei while she was Yingxue.

In fact, the young star's name was indeed actually Yingxue. Her mother had chosen the name mostly because of the situation regarding her birth... as well as how pure and innocent she looked at the time. It was only due to her habit of being up high and jumping down that they jokingly called her Feifei as a child. In their Nation's traditional language, Fei meant fly, while Xue meant snow. Thus her birth name became Yingxue, and Feifei her pet name. Which also soon became her cover identity; Yingfei.

As a little girl, she identified herself like falling snow a.k.a. snowflakes. She loved the name her mother gave her. It was remarkably fitting as even her fanbase dubbed themselves as Snowflakes after her without realizing how much it meant.

Yingfei was just a name that would soon disappear the moment she finished high school a year later.

The population knew nothing much about her background. She was the most famous singer of her generation, yet her history was a blank slate. She appears on stage one moment then disappears the next. Where does she go? What does she do when she's not singing? Does she go to school or is she homeschooled?

Her background was something every paparazzi craved to find out.

Thankfully, although she was a private person, she updated all her social media quite frequently and indulged her fans on her daily life. The paparazzi analyze them madly as if they were sniffing for clues to a murder.

The number one mystery people wanted to know was whether Yingxue was actually her real name or just an alias.

One thing was for sure, she definitely had close relations with Ying Corp., her managing and contracted entertainment company. The 'Ying' in her name was already suspicious enough. Either the company had given her that alias intended for advertising, they were connected in a more intricate way, or it was just a huge coincidence. The third one being something almost no one believed to be actually possible.

Knowing anything private about her life was like grasping at straws. Even the boyfriend question she answered technically wasn't an answer.

"By the way, you sure started the snowflakes down an interesting path," Rouhe commented amusedly.

"With the boyfriend answer?" the star immediately caught on and smirked. "Was I wrong though?"

"Hahaha! Typical of our Yingxue," Noah exclaimed at the reaction, already remembering to use her real name. "You play with your fans so well."

"I'm not playing with them... Just implying things," Yingxue shrugged sheepishly.

"You mean implanting suggestions into their heads," Meimei wiggled her finger by her head playfully.

"Then making them have weird fantasies about you conquering men beneath your feet!" Aiyan squealed excitedly. "Maybe even with some whip in your hand to make things spicy."

Making a gesture of being in fake shock, the star replied exasperatedly, "Hey, that's a bit too far now. I would never."

"But you did," Meimei wiggled her finger at Yingxue accusingly.

Yingxue stuck her tongue out playfully in defeat.

"Heheh," Rika who had been watching by the side finally intervened. She pat Yingxue's head gently and expressed to her friends, "You can stop teasing her now. We all know she did the best thing. For the moment at least she won't be bothered by such questions anymore."

Everyone chuckled and agreed.

"Although I do wonder what man could actually get lil' Yingxue's heart," Rouhe pondered out loud. This was their baby sister they were worrying about. As unlikely as it was, they didn't want her to fall in love with some douche.

To others yes she was larger than life and this unstoppable force. But they of all people knew Yingxue the most. It wasn't that she didn't open up her heart to people. It was just that people could only see one side of it.

As for Yingxue herself, when she loved something, she loved it a hundred percent. So it was either one or the other. She either loved you to death or felt nothing at all.

"I dunno," as if it wasn't her they were talking about, the youngest member of the group giggled light-heartedly. "Maybe I just haven't met him yet.. Or maybe he's already in my life but I just can't see him."
