Chapter 73 - Chapter 73

Tony blocks the attack with his elbow and hits a punch on his chest, making Twister stumble backwards.

Following that Tony takes a stride nearing his opponent for continuous attack.

Seeing that his opponent is coming close Twister throws nonstop jab attacks.

Using Wing Chun blocking he was able to stop the many knockout thrashing or avoid them by dodging to the side.

He managed to grab hold of Twister's wrist and trapped it downward in a swift motion.

"Senior Hui is using the trapping hands!" Leung shouts out from below the ring.

Following, he attacks Twister with a swinging knockout hook from the left side.

That hit was such a force it hit his mouthguard into the air as his body failingly fell on the boxing ring.

The crowd gasps back at how quickly Twister was hit to the ground, many stood up in anxiousness at this moment.

"I told you Master Hui can easily defeat that foreigner," Master Law said.

"That foreigner must be a fake," Master Cheng comments shaking his head. "Even I can give him a good thrashing with these hands."

The ref began to count.

"1!"

"2!"

"3!"

Twisters eyes open up as he puts one hand on the ground trying to get up, while shaking his head from the headache the hook produced.

"4!"

"5!"

"6!"

"7!"

"The boxing champion Twister is on the floor," the host comments, "he's finally standing up. What will Master Hui do now?"

He was able to grab hold of the ropes on the ring to support himself up from the ground.

As he stands up you can see the bruise from the punch before.

The ref grabs hold of his gloves to make sure that Twister is alright, but he pushes his hands away and goes at his opponent.

Twister throws a hook at Tony which he easily dodged by moving his body away in a certain angle.

"Unbelievable speed as Master Hui flies away from Twister's grasp," the host comments.

Seeing that his attack landed empty he follows with an uppercut from below which Tony manages to push away.

"That's not how you do a hook," Tony says to Twister. "Let me show you a real knockout uppercut."

Twister throws a straight that Tony pushes away with his elbow from the inside.

Subsequently, everything was in slow motions as Tony took a stride inside Twister's guard.

Using that momentum from his leading feet as he moves himself in, Tony moves his right arm down focusing all the Qi energy flowing through that arm.

That fist hits itself into Twister's jaw from below.

Twister didn't even know when the punch came in as he can slowly feel the energy from that attack hitting his jaw.

As it connects to his jaw he feels a sudden lightness as though he was levitating in the air.

His body seems to super light all in this moment.

It's the mass free weightlessness belonging to the birds as his feet move off the floor of the boxing ring.

But this feeling didn't last very long as he felt a snap of his head bring him back to the pain of that attack.

Everyone in the audience watches as Twister's body flies off the ground from the uppercut.

Into the air as his body drifts in this lapse of time onto an impactful hit on the ring.

Seeing the body of the boxer Twister on the floor, the crowd and all its chattering turns deathening silent.

The ref calls out the counting:

"1!"

"2!"

"3!"

"4!"

"5!"

With all that counting there was no movement from Twister, the ref finally cuts his arms in the air to declare Tony the winner of the fight.

The chinese people all around the ring rush in lifting Tony into the air with their fist overhead and cheering loudly.

Their cheering was so loud it all rings into a crescendo of a single combined noise in the room.

While the Chinese people were celebrating Tony's victory Superintendent Wallace stood up and walked away from his seat.

He was interrupted by the hand of Fatso in front, "Stop!"

Looking over Fatso's shoulder he sees a group of police officers coming to where he was.

The leader with a stern look on his face says, "Fatso has told me everything. Your actions embarrassed the entire Hong Kong Police Force! Arrest him!"

The leader motions with his head to his men as they walked towards Wallace.

Superintendent Wallace only looked with a mix of fear and surprise at Fatso as he was taken away.

Walking to the edge of the ring, Tony looks at the crowd below him where one side sits the White foreigners and the other side sits the Chinese people.

Tony suddenly was gripped with an idea as he was about to talk through the microphone the host holds in front of him.

He decides to borrow Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech, changing the words to suit the occasion.

'Right, it's only the 1950s so King still hasn't given his famous impactful speech before,' he thinks.

"I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation," Tony's voice echoes through the hall.

The people who were lost in thought or in cheers in their seat sat on the edge of their seat hearing his melodious voice.

"We all have come to this hallowed spot to remind Hong Kong of the fierce urgency of now

"Now is the time to make justice ring out for all of God's children.

"We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline."

"So even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow I still have a dream."

"This is such an inspirational speech," Master Law saids while taking a tissue to wipe his tears.

"Senior Hui is my idol from now on," Leung said to himself.

Zhi Yan and Yue Er who were listening to the speech from the radio looked at each other with a weird expression on their face.

"Did you know Hui could give speeches?" Zhi Yan asks.

"With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the genuine discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood."

Even Twister who was listening to the speech from the corner of the ring as he wipes away the blood begins to have teary eyes as he looks at the man he just fought.

"And I say to you today my friends, let freedom ring!"

Finishing the "I Have A Dream" crowd both the White foreigners and the Chinese in Hong Kong clapped loudly in cheers and happiness.

This boxing match will be marked and recorded into history books for generations to come.

Hui Liang's name will be a familiar home phrase in Hong Kong households as the man who changed the nation.

As Tony gets inside the wooden doors of his home he sees two familiar faces smilingly enchantingly at him.

"Brother Hui!" Yue Er rushes towards him, jumping in the air.

Tony grabs hold of her into his affectionate embrace, "Yue Er, I missed you so much!"

"Luckily you kept your promise, otherwise I'll give you punishment," she said warmly.

"Zhi Yan," Tony calls out bringing her in with his hand, "I hope you weren't so worried for your little brother."

She gives him an animated smile saying, "Change your clothes Hui. It's time for dinner."

"Yes Sir!" Tony gives a policeman salute before heading to his room to change.

The two sisters giggled as they watched their brother run away to change his clothing.

A couple days later when Ip Man was sitting there watching as Tony taught the students there was a knocking sound on the rooftop door.

It's Yiu, Quan's son who came in to greet Ip Man, "Uncle Man, I just made a new friend. He wants to learn kung fu, so I brought him. Come in."

Tony sees a little boy wearing a blue striped flannel coming in the door.

There was something special about the way he walks, with his feet forward first.

"How much to learn martial arts from you?" the boy asks pridefully.

Ip Man continues sitting in his chair in a casual manner, "What's your name?"

"Bruce Lee!" he points his thumb to himself.

"Why do you want to learn martial arts?"

"I want to be like Hui Liang. Beat down anyone I don't like!"

"How presumptuous," Ip Man comments smiling.

The little Bruce Lee raises his nose in pride. Tony finds this little guy quite amusing.

"Come back when you grow up."
