Chapter 55 - Chapter 55

The intimidating battle shouts explode loudly in the room.

Tony almost seems like an ant surrounded by a group of elephants, waiting to be pummeled.

The fight starts as one karate opponent kicks to Tony's waist.

But Tony turns his waist 45 degrees and he uses a split arm to block the opponent's leg. Thus deflecting the kick past its target.

Having gained a good position, Tony now strikes forward with a straight punch into his opponents face.

Hitting him with such a force that he launches outside the mat hitting the wall.

Shifting his body to the side he quickly slaps his attacker's forearm sharply to the side.

Making the punch travel harmlessly past the intended target.

Tony's hand immediately relaxes and changes to a palm strike on the chest hitting him out.

An attacker from behind tries to swing a kick at him, grabbing his feet he throws him against the bodies of the other fighters.

Making some of the fall to the ground like bowling pins.

Turnings around he grabs his enemy's wrist and sharply jerks it down and outwards to pull him off balance and move his arms out of the way.

Finally, Tony attacks the young Japanese man extending his arm into his exposed thoat.

Suddenly he felt a kick on his back and was forced on the ground.

Rolling a short distance before standing back up getting into battle stance.

His eyes shift to an opponent on the right and takes a wide stride to him.

Light touching his chest with his right fingers. Then closes his fingers into a fist and quickly punches focusing all his Qi energy into his fist.

The hit was so strong he heard a crack as his opponent groans in pain on the floor.

Three fighters rush in front of him attacking with their fist.

He hits one of them with an uppercut and hits the other on the right with a hook. Aiming a low kick at the knee of the last, shattering it into pieces.

With more Japanese fighters launching at him, Tony would punch their center line breaking their ribcage or would extend his arm into his opponent's throat.

Someone came at Tony's side hitting a kick towards his ribs. He deflects it by making contact with the outside of his leg.

Followed by a low palm strike hitting his lower ribs. Finishing the defeat of 17 fighters all growling in pain in the ground.

General Miura who's on the balcony begins to show a faint smile in interest.

He's never seen a fighter of this peak level, a martial artist that's a killing machine.

The other fighters begin to take a conservative approach circling around slowly.

A fighter runs to him, Tony grabs his right wrist and knocks him out by turning with a hit with his elbow on the guy's head.

5 fighters came attacking him simultaneously, Tony hit on the guy in front in the solar plexus.

While with his other arm he blocks the punch and counter attacks with a right hook.

Yet he couldn't so easily avoid the others as he gets hit in the ribs in full force in the ribs.

A pain shot through him making him grimace feeling the pain of that hit, like something was broken inside.

However, he was able to hit flicker jabs to their face that knocks them all out.

He turns around and makes contact with his elbow on the outside of the fighter's arm and puts Qi in his attack on Ren Mai position.

Subsequently he uses his hands to attack the eyes of the fighter on his side, blinding him.

Soon there were only two men left, they were largely intimidated by his fighting prowess taking small steps forward.

Once they got into his fighting range Tony took a large stride inwards attacking with the hook combination.

And ended the other opponent with a trap arm followed by a centreline punch to the face.

Ending all 30 karate fighters Tony finally relaxes his fist as he stands in the middle of the mat.

The defeated fighters were on the floor moaning in pain and holding onto their injured body.

General Miura slowly walks to the mat observing Tony. Nodding in motion to the two guards freeing Lin's brother.

Calling to him in respect, "What's your name?"

He saids to General Miura in Japanese, "I'm Hui Liang, just a chinese man."

Miura nods his head in interest as Tony takes Lin's brother to leave.

When Tony finally sees that he has come to a more quiet place after leaving the military base he finally stops.

He looks back to Yuan, Lin's brother, with his head down looking to the ground.

"Why...Why did he have to die," his mind was still entangled by the scene of death, "just why…??"

He was beginning to sob loudly.

"Yuan. Before his death he has always wanted to tell you that he was sorry about that accident," Tony tries to calm the situation, "but he couldn't find the chance to tell you that."

Tony took hold of his hand and reached into his pocket for the rusted metal box.

Placing inside Yuan's open hand, "He asked me to give you this. Yuan, everyone needs to choose his own path."

Tuan looked down at that old rusted metal box and opened it after Tony walked away.

Slowly opening the lid he finds a folded kite. Unfolding it he recognized that it was his owl design kite that he had lost.

He was truly dispirited in grieving over his brother's death.

Numerous questions surfaced in his mind. Wanting to scream, yet from his mouth could only come out his sobbing.

He thought back to that night before he left the home and last saw his brother.

The argument that roused even the chirping crickets of the night.

He was so angry that he knocked away the bowl of rice that his brother worked so hard to earn to feed him.

He didn't know that would be the last time that they talked. The last time that they could have an argument together.

Thinking back he doesn't even remember why they argue or what they were angry about.

It was the sort of immaturity he has displayed since his father's death.

He wonders now how sad his brother must have been when he slammed the door hard on his face.

Even that depressing memory became something precious to him as he sobs.

Because it was the last memory of that familiar face, the regretful memory which he'll carry to his last dying day.
