It was three weeks since that night he reunited in the open with his sisters.
Today Tony was at Ip Man's family for dinner, the day was like any other day.
Ip Man's wife was outside cooking the food and his kid is still playing outside.
So it was only Tony and his master sitting at the room's dining table. The two were peacefully drinking their tea.
Tony takes out some cash and slides it in discreetly to his master on the table, "Master Ip Man this is a small gift from Hui."
Ip Man stops his drinking, putting his cup on the table.
Pushing away the cash and motions with his hands in a declining motion, "Hui, Master can't accept this gift."
Pushing it back to him again he says, "Master Ip Man have you thought about your kids and the family? Money will soon come handy in the Hong Kong streets."
This time Ip Man was silently processing the difficulties his family might face once they immigrate to Hong Kong.
Breathing out a small sigh he says back, "Hui, you have done so much for master. How can I ask to keep owning you favors."
He smiles explaining, "Times of war are difficult for everybody. If you take the money I can also relax my worries for Zhun and Mrs. Wing Sing. When you leave tomorrow who knows if we'll see eachother again."
He was finally able to persuade Ip Man to keep the money. And they had a happy last dinner in Foshan that night.
Finishing the dinner at the Ip family Tony was escorted by his master out of the house.
Ip Man had a face of concern as he asked, "Hui, for the fight next week are you prepared?"
Contrasting the original story, General Miura sent an official declaration of challenge to Tony.
To fight a tournament for the sake of Sino-Japanese cultural exchange.
Thinking for a moment he replies, "I'm 90% certain of my success."
Hearing his student's reply Ip Man says warning, "Be cautious in the fight Hui. The virtue of martial arts is benevolence.
Because they abuse military power to oppress upon others. The Japanese military will never understand the principle of treating other people as you would yourselves."
He listens quietly to the philosophy, "Master Ip Man how about we have a duel before you leave tomorrow."
Ip Man smiles and asks, "Master haven't seen your progress in a while. How shall we duel?"
Tony uses the tip of his feet to touch the ground.
Pointing to a table sized circle drawn with chalks by the children, "Whoever steps out of the boundary loses."
Nodding to show his understanding Ip Man steps into the boundary and getting into the fighting stance with his right hand palms out.
Simultaneously getting into position the two fighters stayed silent as the tension mounted.
Tony attacks with Jik Jeung, aiming at Ip Man's lower chest. Though it was blocked with Jum Sau with the forearm guiding the punch past his body.
Following this clashing Ip Man punches towards Tony's face.
And he defends with a block with his forearm on the outside, while keeping the wrist relaxed.
Subsequently, Tony hits with his leg low at Ip Man's knee which hit empty space.
As Ip Man side stepped to the left, with his hand changing to a palm strike moving with force towards his opponent's face.
Taking the opportunity he grabbed the wrist and trapped it to the other side downwards.
While hitting towards Master Ip Man's throat with his elbow.
But Ip Man was quick to adjust moving his head away from the centreline of that attack.
Not letting a moment go by Tony continues to hold Ip Man's hand down while punching towards his face with the other.
Yet his master didn't allow the attack, he slips the elbow-up block to defend against the punch.
Tony was about to do a cross grab to lock the arms that were fought against when Ip Man tried to hit his leg with a kick.
They landed many more blows still and all came at no avail.
Whenever he would hit a punch Ip Man would be dodging and blocking instead of engaging heavy strikes.
And Ip Man also found that his punches had no effect since during the whole fighting process he has seen that Tony was able to maintain a stable balanced position. Not moving out of step in the least bit.
Tony decides he's got to take one last strike, putting in more risk to defeat his master.
Ip Man also begins to take a more forceful measure.
He transforms his fist to a palm and striked against Ip Man's chest while Ip Man hits an inch punch in the close quarter.
The punch had enough strength in it that it made Tony take 2 steps backward.
Looking down on the circle he elated to see that he was still within the circle.
On the other side Ip Man sees that he was out by a tiny half a step.
Ending the fight Ip Man kungfu salutes his student congratulating him, "Hui, you have progressed a lot."
Humbly Tony bows to Ip Man with respect, "Master Ip Man thanks for going easy on me. I was just lucky to win."
The two parted after the fight and said their farewells.
As he was walking home Tony checked the Missions Panel to see that the second mission was now finally completed.
