Seeing her ogling at him Tony was secretly giggling inside. When their eyes met he gived her a small but very heart warming smile that instantly made her heart beat furiously.
'He just smiled at me,' holding her blushing cheeks in shyness at what just transpired.
Normally nobody would pay attention to her in class due to her unattractive looks. Right now she still hasn't been exposed to wearing makeup.
So she has very bushy, shapeless eyebrows in addition to her acne-prone skin and mono-lids. Not only that she has this pair of black framed glasses that really makes people perceive her as an unstylish fujoshi(female otaku).
Moreover she also has problems of lack of self-confidence due to the way her classmates at school and her family perceives her.
"Did you see that," whispered one of the girls sitting at the desk next to hers, "Woohyun just smiled at me." Blushing like a red apple.
"What are you talking about? He was smiling at me," grunted another girl.
'Well..Maybe he's smiling to someone else…,' dejectedly she lowers her head, 'I'm so unattractive why would he even notice me?' Thinking to herself and pouting her lips.
Later during lunch time when it's time for a break all the students rushed towards where Tony was sitting in excitement. Even the students from the other class heard that he was here and wanted to get an autograph.
Soon there was like a circle mess of students gathering where he was sitting. It was almost as though they were forming a black cocoon.
"Woohyun I loved your Harry Potter series," said one of the girls.
"What are you talking about Taehun, "The Notebook" and "The Fault in Our Stars" is even better," argued another girl as she handed a copy of a book for Tony to sign.
"Gosh he's even hotter in person. And so kind." "I wish he would ask me out." "Stop dreaming." Said some girls in the mass of the crowd.
'Yeah...he probably didn't even notice me,' thinks Jugyeong with a sad look on her face as she had her earbuds in to listen to some favorite rock songs.
"Hey!!" there was a loud kick on her desk which shocks her from her self pity.
"Uh...Huh?" Taking out her earbuds and turning around to see two girls look at her with angry looks. One had red short hair and the other black hair covering her forehead.
"Uh...we called you so many times. Why did you answer us, you freaking loser?" Said the girls, seeing the direction which Jugyeong Lim originally was looking at.
"Don't even bother...You will never get a chance. Get us some dumplings," one of the girls said scoffing while handing her a paper bill.
"Ah!...O-Okay!" Jugyeong replied, as though it was already a usual part of her routine.
"Hey! Are you getting dumplings? Let me go with you," suddenly a voice interrupted their dialogue, "I am quite unfamiliar with this place."
The girls in front of Jugyeong jaw-dropped in disbelief that Tony would actually ask such a loser to introduce him around the school.
Turning around she saw it was her idol which made her take a step back in disbelief. But then she tripped when her foot got caught on the foot of her desk.
Her arms were flailing back as she was falling in slow motion in the air, 'Oh no...I'm going to embarrass myself in front of my idol…' This was her last thought as she was about to land on her back.
'Is she always clumsy,' Tony thinks to himself as he catches her from the waist stopping the fall. Looking into her eyes he said softly, "Are you okay?" Slowly helping her stand up.
"Uh..Thank you," catching herself as she slowly stands up. Remembering his questions she lowers her head to hide her blushing, "Umm...The Snack Bar is this way…" Pointing her fingers to a certain direction she begins to lead him out of the classroom.
Soon this causes a stir among the fans in the classroom:
"Why would he hang out with such a loser?" "He must be a very kind person." "Wow even his actions are so altruistic."
Only the two girls who made Jugyeong get their dumplings begin to hesitate for their actions.
On the way to the snack bar Jugyeong was so nervous walking with Tony that she was only able to reply in barely audible words in the conversation. And the people looking at them as they walked only made her more flustered.
'What do I say?? God help me,' she was beginning to pray inside. Never had a guy of this super-star calibre even paid an ounce of attention to her.
Moreover she's a big fan of many of his manga which she frequently reads. In fact she even has a poster of him in her bedroom wall.
Not only did Tony draw many mangas after his mission 1 completion he also dabbled out many of the famous songs from both worlds. He didn't hold any concerts or anything major to boost his branding. Yet his couple albums all reached platinum level.
When they got there waiting in line she finally mustered up the courage to say something to him, "Umm...This is the snack bar." She said in a quiet voice, still doesn't dare to look him in the eyes.
"Thanks so much," Tony smiled as he thanked her.
The girls in line began to notice Tony who was waiting to order and chat up with him.
"Aren't you Woohyun Ji? Can you take selfies with us?"
"Sure, I'll be glad to be of service to my fans," smiling in the camera as the girls do some affectionate poses.
"Woohyun are you now a student of our school?" "I love your work. Please sign an autograph for my sister."
Getting her dumplings she looks with a sad face at the pretty girls gathering around him taking pictures, 'Woohyun was so nice to me...But I made the conversation so awkward.' With her head down in some music as she walks away.
Walking her way back to her class she was so in her thoughts that she bumped into somebody's legs. Seeing the broken dumplings on the floor she cried out, "The dumplings!! Oh...Oh no!!"
Tony reached where she was and lifted her up to examine her bruised ankles.
She was surprised again at Tony seeing her clumsiness, "...Woohyun." Her eyes were looking into his with embarrassment.
