When Alejandro put on the apron Selena was using earlier, she could not help but laugh. She bit her lower lips to stop herself from laughing when Alejandro looked at her.
"How do I look," there was a taunting smile on his lips, enough to bewitch her.
She plucked her lips while her eyes narrowed as she scanned his body.
"Gorgeous," she replied and giggled.
"Hey, are you flirting with me?" Alejandro teasingly said. His hands were busy pouring the flour into the bowl.
"what, no!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. I am sure,"
"Well, I was just asking because it is definitely working."
Selena's cheeks were blushing. Even without looking in a mirror she knew her cheeks were in crimson red.
"So, anyway I want to ask something," Selena looked at Alejandro after he said those words, he was busy beating the eggs in the bowl that he didn't saw how perplexed she was.
"what is it?" she replied, wondering what he has in his mind.
"I was wondering if you'd want to go with me this Saturday. My mom will have a party on the ship. It mostly her friends and I don't have someone to go with so, will you be my date?"
By that time Alejandro asked Selena to be his date, he was deeply looking into her eyes. She gulped hard, staring back at him with uncertain eyes.
"So?" Alejandro said, waiting for her reply.
"Of course. What time is it?" she masked her excitement with a faint smile, but her eyes couldn't hide her true feelings.
"Well it will start at 4 pm so I can pick you up at 3," he smiled, it was a light smile but, enough for her heart to skip a beat.
She absently checked her heartbeat, her hand lifted to touch her chest when she suddenly touched something hard on it.
"oh yeah! That pervert is still alive," she sighed and looked at Alejandro, he was baking like a pro, his hands were smoothly moving in fast motion that he's now about to put the cupcakes in the oven.
"did you say something?" Alejandro asked, closing the oven after shoving the metal tray with cupcakes on it inside.
"Do you remember the man that saved me from the pervert?"
"Yeah. Anyway, dad said that the pervert man has gotten himself a public lawyer to defend him but, your case is strong. Don't worry, he will be in jail soon," he was now standing in front of her, while she stays sitting on the table.
His hand stretched to give her head a light pat, a soothing smile was on his lips as he gently strokes her hair after removing his gloves.
"Yeah, I've found him and he turned out to be your brother Killian."
Selena sighed as she said those words. Bewildered on how two people, with the same flesh and blood, could have a different personality.
"You've met Killian? When?"
"Yes. First, On the plane, then the night he saved me and then yesterday when he-" she stopped upon remembering what he had done with her. Unsure whether it was right to tell Alejandro about the kiss.
"What?"
"Well," Selena hesitated.
"Tell me, what is it?" he asked, both hands were on Selena's shoulders-gently holding her.
"Well, he kissed me and, in the process, he put this necklace on me and he will only take it off if I'll go out with him tomorrow."
Alejandro's jaw gnashed in anger, he held the necklace and, tried to find a way to remove it.
"Don't bother, everyone in my family had tried removing it but, it can only be unlocked by the key and your brother have it." Her head shook, she just remembered how hard it was to sleep last night. She was not used to having accessories, especially in her sleep so she barely got her normal eight hours sleep.
"That man only brings trouble. Anyway, he might bring you to the party tomorrow. I guess I will just see you there," this time, his voice was soft, soothing her pissed mood.
After some hours of baking, Alejandro had cleaned his hands and Selena walked him out of the cafe, it was past two and her stomach was full of cupcakes. Alejandro kept on feeding her cupcakes which had made them forget about lunch.
As she strode her way back to the kitchen – which has been cleaned by Alejandro, Selena caught one of their unusual customers, the boy who paid using coins yesterday that caused for her cousin Alexa to breakdown.
In the other side, Louisa's stomach was grumbling with all the cupcakes she ate. She was about to put the closed sign on the counter when a man came.
She looked up to him and, saw his eyes wandering around the cafe, looking for someone.
She took her pad with words written 'What's your order?'
She showed it to the man and, with a complicated expression, he replied, "10 lattes please."
When Louisa saw him taking the coins out of his bag, she hastily grabbed her tablet and wrote down, 'If you pay with coins, I am going to curse your love life,'
The man in front of her was stunned, but still, he put the pouch full of coins on the table.
Louisa round eyes narrowed, her legs were shaking every time her stomach grumbles, she really needs to be in the toilet now and counting these coins will take forever.
Instead of taking the purse, she took her pad and wrote down, 'I will give you my sister's number,'
As the man finished reading it, the tip of his lips lifted in a smile, he took the pouch bag and shove it in his bag and then took his wallet out of his back pocket and handed her his card.
Louisa typed in his order and wrote down the number at the back of the receipt when the man went and sat down on the waiting area for take-out, Louisa rushed to the bathroom.
She closed the door and a devilish smile curved up her lips as she remembered giving her father's number to the man instead of Alexa.
