Selena abruptly exhaled after getting kissed by the man that saved her before. Her hands itched to slap him on both cheeks but they were pinned down on the wall with his hands.
"Let me go," she gravely said, eyes solemnly stared at him.
"Ok but promise me you won't slap me for kissing you."
Selena scoffed laughing, her eyes went narrowed like a sneaky snake and nodded as a response.
His hands loosen her wrists, as soon as her wrist felt the freedom, her right leg lifted in the air to give him a hard kick on his private part.
The man grunted in pain, his hand went to touch his lower part hoping for the pain to away but it's not, especially after getting hit by the tip of her wedge shoes.
His face went pale in pain. He walked backward until his back reaches the wall, then he sat down on the floor and looked at Selena's dark face.
"Why?" he murmured in pain.
Selena scoffed and wrinkled her face in irritation. She would have screamed and beat him up if he hadn't saved her before.
"I only made a promise not to slap you, nothing about kicking you," she mockingly said.
Then she walked towards the exit door, before leaving she turned to look at him only to find him standing behind her. His body was standing as if his private part hadn't been kicked.
"Well, Ms. Su," he started. His hands slapped on the exit door and moved closer to her.
Selena took a long sigh. This is it, she will never let him be around her after this day.
"Tell me your name," she asked, thinking that she will file a restraining order if he will keep on bothering her.
"Darling," he shortly said.
Selena looked at him with disbelief, her eyes narrowed when she realized that he has been toying with her.
She took a deep sighed and decided to go with the flow.
"Ok, Darling I honestly don't know why you'd kissed me but I will forgive you since you'd helped before. So can I go now?" she asked in a soft and calm voice.
"One condition,"
"What?"
The man paused and stared at her, the pair of his black eyes were starting to hypnotize her.
"Be my girlfriend,"
Selena felt as if the time has suddenly stopped, same as her heartbeat. Her eyes flickered once to compose herself after losing it from his words.
"Why would I want to be your girlfriend?" she ironically asked.
"Because I am good in bed," he boastfully replied.
Selena was literally out of word, there's a lot of things she wanted to say but she couldn't, her tongue has been frozen.
"Can I take that as a yes?" his voice has pulled her back to reality.
"You are really confident with your bed skill huh!" she rudely asked. She had tried pushing him away but the man's body was like a wall, she could not even move him.
"Well not really bragging but the women I slept with are always satisfied. Can't leave them hanging now can't I?"
Her expression went flat while his face showed nothing but satisfaction, seeing it closer, Selena realized that he has two deep dimples on his cheeks every time he smiles.
"Well, if they are satisfied why are you alone? Perhaps you really didn't satisfy them," she sighed as her expression contorts in disappointment.
"Maybe they only said that to not hurt your ego," she continued mocking him.
The man drew closer to her, and just like before the tip of their noses almost touch. Then he smirked and it was enough to make her realized that he's going to kiss her again.
Selena went panicked, she immediately pushed his face away with her palm.
"Fine, fine! I won't insult you again. But, tell me how did you know I am here?" she curiously asked. Unlike before she no longer minds being close to him.
"Well, Louisa texted me," hearing her cousin's name has made her body frost, her eyebrow slowly rose as she cursed inside, (That little snitch!)
"Wow! So you gave your number to my cousin but not to me?" she let out a shaky laugh, her head shook in disbelief. If she'd known that her cousin has his number, she would have called him for help in clearing her name.
"Well, I don't give my numbers to the women I want or had sex with,"
"Oh! So you want to sleep with me?" she chuckled with sarcasm.
"Yes."
Selena scoffed and the corner of her lips lifted in disgust.
"What makes you think I will let you in my bed?" she glared at him, her emotion was mixed up by his ego and arrogance.
"Oh don't worry, we don't need to do it in your bed. We can use mine but I actually prefer couch. If you prefer standing we can do it too but I am telling you it is exhaus-" Selena cut him out by covering his mouth with a hand.
"Please stop, you disgust me! I am not interested in warming your bed," then she removed her hand and sighed.
She sighed and decided to turn his offer down in the nicest way.
"Look, Darling. I am not really looking for a boyfriend now. Maybe we can be friends given that you helped me," she offered.
"Nah! I want you to be my girlfriend," he insisted.
Selena cried inside by how childish he was acting.
"Why can't you just get another girlfriend!" she helplessly blurted.
The man went silent for a moment and said, "Because you are Selena Su. And I want you to be my girlfriend," he persistently said.
Selena groaned in irritation, she realized that dealing with him was worse than dealing with Daniella's kids.
(No wonder he's close with Louisa) she thought.
"I can only be your friend and as much as I hate to call you by your name but Darling I don't want to be your girlfriend. I can only offer to be your friend," she blurted, hoping that her sincere and deep voice will make him understand that she doesn't like him.
"Can I still kiss you?"
His innocent voice asking her that has pulled the last string of her patience, she decided to kick him again when she suddenly heard Barney's voice calling out her name.
"Look, my friend is looking for me. I can introduce you to him and maybe you can enlighten him with what really happened that night."
To her surprise, he gave her space and let her open the door. Selena stretched out her head to call Barney.
"Hey Barney," she waved a hand in the air to get Barney's attention while the other was holding the door, preventing for it to close.
Barney turned to the voice source and found Selena standing by the door, there was a faint smile on her lips which causes him to feel relief. He thought something has happened to her when he didn't see her in the entrance
He strolled to her direction, pushing the cart. When he finally reaches her, his eyebrow snapped after seeing her neck.
"Where did you get that?" he said pointing at her neck.
Selena lowered her eyes and found a necklace with an emerald pendant. Her eyebrows immediately creased in confusion. She doesn't remember wearing one today and she had never liked wearing one.
Puzzled by what's happening, Selena checked the man name Darling but, he was no longer there, not even his hair.
Her eyes blazed in confusion, she looked at Barney who has the same expression as her.
"I," Selena was speechless, unsure on how to explain to Barney that once again, the man who saved her before disappears again.
Her hands formed into a fist, the man was making her a fool by leaving her like an idiot.
"I felt like I've seen that necklace before," Barney ran his index finger on the pendant, the necklace was made of gold with emerald stone pendant in a rectangular shape. It was easy to notice given the size of the pendant.
"Where did you get this one?" he asked, he has been looking at her since they left the cafe and Selena was not wearing any accessories, not even earrings.
Selena sighed and decided to shut her lips, there was no point on telling what happened to Barney. Even if she does, she would just be wasting her time.
"I saw a dog playing with it so I snatched it," she let out a wry laugh and to ease her trembling voice, she wrapped a hand on Barney's arm.
"Let's go."
Barney just nodded and started walking, trying to remember where did he see the necklace.
