Sitting next to Killian quietly, Selena focused her eyes on the television. A gentle smile full of care plastered on her lips. Barney was being interviewed and praised in the news for helping a civilian. Her eyes softened as she watched her friend with the proud. As Aristotle said, a man who does not enjoy the act of doing good deeds is not a good man. And she could say that Barney does love his job more than anyone. He dedicated his life to helping people and as one of those whom he once saved, she felt proud and grateful.
Her thought was disturbed by the hand on her waist, the soft lips on her shoulder have made her turn to her right. She looked at Killian's eyes, staring at her like a baby. Her soul felt soothed to see his deep smile, he's not the usual kind of guy she fantasized. She had never liked a man with pierced but Killian does. The lust in his eyes that always teases her. She doesn't like it, but got accustomed to it as the days she spent with him passed.
Killian gazed at her freely, Ken and the kids together with his wife had left to pick up Alexa.
"Hey," he whispered carefully in Selena's ear, "we are alone," he continued with his lips smiling with a tease.
Selena gave him a sideways glare, elbowed his stomach and got up.
Killian watched Selena as she walked towards the kitchen, his lips curved with a tease parted to speak, "Mom and Dad want to meet you. I said we will meet them tomorrow dinner."
Selena almost dropped the plate she was holding to the ground upon hearing it, her heart pulsated with the thought of meeting his parents.
"Do I need to come?" she asked.
Killian laughed, amused by the panic on her face, "don't worry. They won't eat you."

On the other side, after Alexa finished her dinner, Stephanie and her mom didn't allow her to help them with the dishes, instead, they asked her to go to the backyard and get some fresh air from the small lake.
She walked outside, the cold breeze touched her skin as soon as she stepped out of the house.
She hugged herself, slightly scrubbing her palms on her arms while her feet made its way at the backyard.
The moon hiding behind the clouds was too stingy to give her some light, but with the fireflies' help, she was able to find her way to the lake.
The quietness was deafening, she could almost hear her own heartbeat, not even one insect dare to make a sound.
Out nowhere, she heard a sound, her eyes narrowed, mind focused on the sound and realized that it was from a guitar.
Her head tilted confusedly, she could hear the sloppiness in every strung of the guitar.
As she goes nearer the lake, she found a man sitting on the wooden bench with guitar in his hand, the darkness of the place hid the man's face but, she was able to conclude it as a man based on his broad shoulder and short hair especially the baritone hum coming out from his lips.
"Excuse me," she said, making her voice sounded melancholic that could soothe anyone's ears.
Slowly, the man turned to face her, darkness registered on his face as their eyes met.
"who's there?" he asked.
(Huh?) He sounded like her math teacher.
She walked closer and as she stood next to the bench, the moon flaunted behind the cloud and its light redirected to the lake, lighting its surroundings.
"Mr. coin?" her voice doesn't sound shocked but, her face does, with lips partially parted in surprise, she smiled, "what are you doing in the dark?" she asked, sitting down on the space next to him.
She watched as he moved his sight back at the lake, watching the reflection of the full moon in the water.
"I have night blindness so I didn't see you clearly," he said, put down the guitar on the case and picked up his glasses next to him.
He turned to look at her, seeing her staring at him with confusion, he waved a hand in front of her.
Alexa blinked, wondering what's wrong with him, "you didn't answer my question," she said rudely.
"I was practicing guitar," he shrugged, "if I stay inside, Stephanie will make fun of me," he picked up his guitar and showed it to her, "you see, I don't really know how to play," he chuckled, embarrassment tainted in it.
"Oh," she gulped hard, took the guitar from him and positioned it on her legs, "I know how to play," and with that, her fingers positioned on the strings of the guitars.
"Really?" he sounded shocked, "could you teach me?"
Alexa froze, mind wondered for a moment.
Then she turned to him, "if I do, then I don't need to do the quiz I missed today?" she waggled her eyebrow, sneaky smiled curved upon her lips.
He sighed, "fine," he said with an understanding smile.
Alexa cheered, handed the guitar to him and said, "first, you were holding it wrong," her hand reached for his and positioned them on each side of the guitar.
"how much do you know?" she asked, eyes gawked on his hands holding the guitar.
"Hmm," he paused, "well, I know how to hold it," he replied with a slight chuckle.
Alexa clicked her tongue irritated, "didn't I just say that you were holding it wrong?"
He scratches a hand on her hair, like a shy little boy, "did you?"
"wait, so I need to teach you everything!" She gasped with disbelief, blew out her cheeks with eyes staring at him with surprise.
He shrugged, "two quizzes?"
Alexa took in a deep breath, she doesn't have a problem taking the quizzes but, she hates writing.
"Five?" she negotiated.
"That's too much," he protested, "three?"
Alexa grinned, bent her neck on each side, "Mr. Coin, are we negotiating? Because seriously, I am good with that," lips smiling with victory beamed on her face.
"Two, max -three," he shifted his sight from looking at her down to the ground, avoiding her eyes.
"five," she replied.
"Three"
"Five"
"Three"
"Five"
"Three"
"Five"
He paused, took a deep sighed and said, "three,"
"five," she replied, wiggling her brows with amusement
"three," he responded
"Five," Alexa said
"three,"
"three,"
"Five," he paused realizing that his mind has been accustomed to the number rhythm that he said five when he heard hear saying three.
With a hysteria, he turned to her, "you said three,"
Alexa snickered and nodded, "yes and you said five so I guess," she took the guitar from him in triumph, "it's five."
"Ugh! You are so sneaky," he growled and watched her as she picked up his phone with the lyrics and chords of the song he's learning.
