The surrounding of the lake was filled with the soft hums coming from Alexa's lips as she watched her teacher play the chords she thought.
When his finger slipped, Alexa's jaw gnashed impatiently. She sighed, thinking that if he's just her siblings or a stranger she would have strangled him to death.
"Mr. Coin, that's wrong," she said, her hand moved to adjust his fingers and put it to position for c minor but his fingers were too stubborn as a rock, "can you loosen up?" She asked.
"I can't," he said, clearing his throat.
"Why?"
"Well, for started, you are stepping on my foot," he paused, "and you're too close," he complained.
Alexa scoffed, rolled her eyes on him and pushed him away, "go away," she said.
He fought back by bumping his shoulder on hers and said, "you go away, I came here first."
"Well, I am the guest so go away," she said pushing his body with both hands.
He scoffed, used a little force as he bumps his shoulder to her.
As she predicted, he fought back and before his shoulder could reach her, Alexa has moved backward but she was not expecting it to be the end of the bench. As she's about to lose her balance, Alexa frantically grabbed the air, searched for something she could hold on.
Her eyes swelled, watching her hand grabbed her teacher's collar and pulled him down with her on the ground. And as much as she wanted to let go, she can't, she had pulled him with her and worse, she fell on the ground.
The pain registered in her mind as her body felt the impact of the ground on her back but it soon disappeared when she realized that her teacher's lips were on her and his eyes swelling in shock were staring at her.
(!)
She pushed himself away vigorously, got up with cheeks reddening in anger.
Her finger, slightly shaking pointed at him, "you!" eyes round as a ball threw him a murderous look, utterly speechless.
"I am going to call the police." Her body turned around without waiting for his response. She walked back to the house, opened the door and proceeded to her bag on the couch ignoring the fact that her whole family was in the living room.
She took her phone out dialed the police number, "I am going report you thief-" she paused when Stephanie held her wrist, her body - still shaking with anger looked at her friend.
"What thief? Are you alright?" saying that in worry, Stephanie scanned Alexa's body, "what did the thief steal from you?"
The reality struck Alexa as she stared at the screen of her phone, she blinked realizing how stupid it was to call the police.
"Well," she stuttered as she tried to find an excuse, her hand absently touched the end of her hair, she gulped nervously, "my pin," she stuttered.
Stephanie rose an eyebrow, "you are calling the police for a pin?"
Alexa nodded, bit her lower lips nervously, "yeah, it was really a cute pin," she murmured.
"Al," hearing her sibling's voice calling her in rhythm, Alexa turned and surprise registered on her face as soon as she realized that her whole family was in there, squeezing themselves in the small living room.
She looked at her Uncle, his brows were creasing in irritation, "I assumed you are here to pick me up?"
Her uncle nodded, walked closer to her, "yeah."
Alexa shook her head, took a few steps back until she hit the corner, "no, uncle, I will only come home unless mom picks me up here," she crossed her arms, eyes scanned the room to see if Stephanie's mother was around.
"Well your mom can't pick you up but, I will tell your father tomorrow," he tried to reach out for her but Alexa shook her head.
"no I want my mom uncle Ken," she frowned at him.
"I know," he blew out a sigh, "and I will tell your father but right now let's go home because," he paused, wrinkling his nose in annoyance, "if your mother finds out that you didn't sleep home she would -" he paused seeing Alexa glaring at him.
"What uncle?" she scoffed, "she isn't here now so how -"
"Your mom is sick Alexa, so she can't be here to pick you up,"
And just like that, the frown on Alexa's face vanished, anxiety had made her bit her lower lips, her mom's face flashed in her mind.
"How can she be sick?" her voice quivered, "she eats a lot and even do exercise," feeling the warm liquid in her eyes, Alexa blinked to fight back her tears, "is she going to be alright?"
Her uncle Ken nodded, brushed a hand on her head with calmness in his eyes, "yes she's your mom, so let's go home alright?"
She nodded, looked at the bedroom door where Stephanie's mother came out, the shock was on her face.
"What is happening here" Stephanie's mother asked, "this place was empty ten minutes ago," she chuckled shyly, folded clothes on her hands fell on the ground as soon as her eyes scanning the place ended at Ken.
Her eyes swelled in shock, she pointed a finger at Ken, "I know you!"
"You own the Chu Pharma," she blurted, her feet shaking with sudden excitement rushed towards Ken.
"Oh my god! We went to the same school, oh my god!" she exclaimed, pasted a smile that no one could ever remove, "don't you remember me? I was a member of your fan club."
Ken blinked, slowly shook his head, "I don't think we have met before," he cleared his throat, feeling a blazing pair of eyes glaring at him and without even looking, he already knew who it was.
He took a step back, grabbed Alexa's arms and dragged her towards the door, "you might have mistaken me from someone else, Let's go, honey," he waved a hand to his wife and seeing her blank face has made him sweat.
Everyone followed Ken, while Stephanie and her mother stayed in the house looking confused.
When the living room became calm, Stephanie's mother looked at her nephew, "he does look like Ken Chu, but I guess he's right," she giggled nodding her head to convince herself, "it's too impossible for him to be here."
