"I don't like this one." Luna stared down at the cascade of peachy frills on her body.
The theme for Sajinsul's photoshoot was that they would wear victorian style attire and the setting would be a modern day amusement park, a ridiculous contrast that would attract another's attention.
"Thats what you said about the last three as well. Yet you look beautiful in all of them." Said Mark.
They were in her old bedroom and Mark was sprawled on her bed, helping her choose. After finding out about her brother's wickedness, she couldn't even think of stomaching dessert. So, she excused herself and started to get ready for the photoshoot.
"Cassie, bring some in white." Mark told the Piérces' personal stylist.
"Okay I will, but first, tell me if you are going for Marie Antoinette or Elizabeth Bennet?" Carrie asked and Mark who looked at Luna carefully for a second and then replied, "A bit of both."
Carrie nodded as if it made total sense and walked out to get the dresses from her van.
"As if her question wasn't confusing enough, your answer was even more."
He smiled, "Diane and Renè used to play dress up on us remember? Plus helping my girlfriends while shopping also became a habit of mine."
"Wow, I cannot believe you so shamelessly admitted to having multiple partners."
"What about you? How many people have you dated?"
Luna played with her long sleeve, "None."
"No girlfriends in juvie even?"
"Yeah, I thought about that but," She took the dress from Carrie and took it in, she continued to speak from inside the changing room/closet, "Those kind of feelings never developed, and even if they did I couldn't possibly identify them while not knowing what love was."
"And you know now?" He called out.
"Yeah." She replied in a clipped tone.
Mark sat up on the bed, "So, are you gonna get Ella out of the way and date Haemin?"
A few seconds later came her reply, "No. Im sure he already knows that I like him more than a friend and he did nothing about that. So, Im not gonna make him further uncomfortable."
The door opened and out came a girl who Mark was almost sure was an angel. The white frills and laces made her hair look darker than they ever did and her white skin glowed as if a spotlight was on her.
The blush that crept up her cheeks upon being looked at by Mark like that, made her look even more stunning to him and many seconds later he still couldn't form a coherent sentence.
"Finally, a dress that you dont like." She smiled and gestured for Cassie to bring another.
Just as Cassie left the room he jumped up, "No, you look stunning!" He exclaimed.
Her eyes widened, "Really?"
"You look like Juliet from the party when Romeo saw her for the first time."
A bright smile spread across her lips and she looked down again at the dress, "I kinda did like this one."
Mark's eyes twinkled as he stared at her, and overpowering, and warm feelings washed over him.
Slowly he walked towards her and pushed her slightly on the bed.
He leaned forward and propped himself on top of her, her bewildered face just inches away from his.
"May I?" He asked softly.
Perhaps it was because she always had a crush on him or because he was insanely handsome, her mind was muddled and her heartbeat seemed to have slowed down, every beat resonating in her head.
Thousands of memories of them together as kids rushed through her head and all the feelings she could gather from them were happy and lovely, so, as a response she closed her eyes, waiting for him to kiss her.
And so he did.
