" You are doing a nice job, Dave, I have to say that but I don't think it would be nice to judge the monks. And besides aren't we supposed to complete our given project.... It would be better if we stick to that.", I said with concern.
Dave had a lost look on his face for awhile and after stretching his body he answered, " Yeah, you are right. Lets go to bed early, after all we have got a busy day tomorrow ."
" But before that don't forget to charge the batteries, clean the lens of your camera and..."
" If I do all the work aren't you going to feel bored, sis?"
"Oh! I don't think so..."
" And why is that? "
" Am I not using up my time to remind you what to do...;)"
He smirked and replied, " Ok fine, I am cheerful now, so stop these nonsense and help m....."
" Dave would you mind passing me another coke from the stock and my cell phone that's lying on your bed..."
" Oh! Wait...Here you go,...???...And stop bossing me around, will you! "
It was amusement indeed, although I would never try to pull my own brother's leg like this. After our little comedy, we packed our bags with necessary equipment and called it a day as we were supposed to wake up early in the morning tomorrow.
While my brother slept right away, I took his laptop and started examining the report he had typed. After examining, I continued including other details of today's events that we witnessed. Although I omitted the part about the hand that grabbed me in the rivulet.
It was by eleven o'clock that I finished the report...and got up to get myself a glass of water because I was thirsty. With the glass of water in my hand I wandered to the balcony. No sooner had I unlocked the door, than a cool breeze pierced through me. I stood still at the balcony viewing the newfound world that was missing in the city. It was beautiful, the sky glistering with the stars that filled it up. Almost the whole forest could be seen from this sixth floor living quarter room. "Even the Shrine....", I paused and to my surprise I saw figures luring in the Shrine grounds. It was a pitch black shadow or should I say shadows. Not of human origin for as long the Moon's light shined in the sky they could be seen and when the clouds started covering the Moon the shadows disappeared. For a moment I was shocked so I started searching for the shadows from the balcony but there was no sign of them.
I thought to myself, '...am I that stressed, I should get some sleep'. I turned to return to the room when the Moon light again revealed itself and it produced a huge black shadow in front of me. It was not my shadow, for it was huge and muscular, it raised its hands toward me as if it was going to hold my neck. I backed away and fell on my butt , 'that hurt'. And suddenly from the ground something caught my hand, pulling me towards it. Screams couldn't ran out of my mouth, it was not like I didn't want to scream but this Lucy girl also couldn't scream her lungs out. Then I heard, "Help ...help us...".
I was struggling to free myself from the hands that pulled me down, but my attempts were in vain, their grip was too strong. And before me the muscular shadow, suddenly drew his pitch black face near my ears and whispered, "I found you at last, my pri...".
The words were incomplete and when I woke up I found myself in my bed with a cold sweat, and looked over at Dave, who was sleeping soundless. "A dream?...", I uttered. I was completely fine and the balcony door was closed as well, may be due to stress. I guess stress really is horrifying.
Then I looked at my watch and it was 5 o'clock already.
