Evelina looked at him calmly, she then looked at Ethan standing beside him and nodded towards him with a smile. The prefects excused themselves, after warning them to reach the dorms before the curfew.
"Second Brother" Evelina greeted him with a curtsy, making others look at her and Ethan in confusion.
Ethan smiled charmingly and bowed back formally towards Evelina, he chuckled in amusement as he stepped forward and hugged her endearingly.
"Little Sister, you have grown up well in past three years. I'm relieved now" Ethan said as he patted her head affectionately.
Evelina chuckled softly as she looked at Ethan in amusement, this was nothing new to her as all her brothers and sisters were very protective of her since she was very small.
"I missed you as well Second Brother, though I had Third Sister with me all the time after you left" Evelina said as she smiled calmly with a slight hint of cheekiness in her tone which shocked everyone but Lauren and Ethan.
"That is good, it is getting late. Head back to the dorm and have a good night's rest, we will talk tomorrow" Ethan said in an endearing tone.
Evelina nodded in agreement and then again was engulfed in a hug by Ethan and then Lauren also followed his actions which amused Evelina and Ethan to some extent.
All the time during their interactions with one another, James felt very uncomfortable. He could not pinpoint why but he felt some unsettling feeling inside his heart making him breathless.
Everyone but the three who were busy engaging in a hearty conversation with one another, noticed the distress in James face.
"You to Second Brother, Lauren go back to sleep early" Evelina said in a calm tone she smiled politely towards the two.
"Though I am yet to digest the fact that my sister addressed me with my name and another one as 'Brother' I still cannot complain" Lauren said dejectedly.
Evelina and Ethan said nothing and kept quiet as they were already used to his meaningless tantrums.
Evelina looked at her newly made friends with a smile on her face.
"This is Ethan DeSouza, I grew up with him before he started attending school at eleven" Evelina said as she introduced Ethan to others.
"If I remember correctly you are a transfer student from Durmstrang right" Lorcan asked in an unsure manner.
"That is right, you have a good memory" Ethan said as he nodded in an approving manner.
Lorcan said nothing and nodded lightly in understanding, he glanced at James in worry. Everyone understood that James was uncomfortable with the way Evelina reacted with Ethan, yet none of them could question it as they knew each other since long back.
"Then we will be going back now" Evelina said as she smiled towards everyone who were not from her house.
After bidding each other good night everyone headed towards their dorms to retire for the night. The Gryffindor's entered their common room after passing through the Fat Lady's portrait. They entered the cozy common room decorated in yellow and red as its house colours.
They ascended the main stairs, and stood at the middle of it. Dominique, Alice, Roxanne and Evelina shared one dorm.
Whereas, James, Lorcan, Lysander and Fred were sharing a dorm together. They bid each other good night and went their respective dorms.
"This is so good that we don't need to share our dorm with some random stranger" Roxanne said as she slumped on her bunk bed.
"That is right" Dominique agreed, Evelina and Alice were busy arranging their things on their cupboards and tables provided.
