As soon as Lord Edward entered his apartment, he could hear his man's voice from the library, full of too loud expressions, similar to the well-experienced people, who knew how to use phones.
"Oh! If I see, the Lord himself coming inside once again to the apartment....If your grace would please hold the line for a few seconds please"
"What is it Bulter?"
"Her Grace has just given a call from Denver, my Lord. Infact, I was just telling her that your lord has left for the sale, when I suddenly heard your lord opening the lock."
"Thank you Bulter!" The Lord smiled. "Can you now please find my brochure, would you? I suppose I might have forgotten it somewhere in my bedroom or maybe on top of my desk."
"Very well, my lord!"
Lord Edward sat down near the telephone, with an air of carefree leisurely, as if he was a visitor who had dropped in for a casual chat.
"Hello Mother! Is that you on the call?"
"Ohhh!! Sweetheart! I get to hear your voice!" The Dowager Duchess exclaimed happily. "I thought you had left, and I would not get to talk to you!"
"As a matter of fact, I had left mother! I had just started off to Brocklebury's sale, so as to find a few good books, but I forgot the brochure in my room. You tell, how are things?"
