"You are so..so..so kind and thoughtful, your lordship." The architect exclaimed, now for the tenth time. He was rapidly blinking his eyes, so as to control his tears from his weak eyes. "I actually am thankful from the bottom of my heart. I am greatful very very deeply indeed! My mother, if she could hear your words, would have been equaly thankful. But Alas! She is deaf, so I do not want to bother you, by making you comprehend your words to her." He paused for a few seconds and then spoke again. "With the policemen in the house, ot has been a really very tough day for us, also due to all the tension and activity. Me and my mother are not used to the presence of policemen in our house, also not used to so much of commotion. We prefer living a peacefull and silent life. Thus, I should tell you my lord, this is the most tough time for people like us, not used to such activity. Now to think of it, I am glad mother does not hear or understand. If she would have known about it, it would have worried her a lot, you see! She was actually upset about it, but has created her own thoughts and verdicts about it, eventually making her relaxed. So it is all for good, now I think!"
The old lady, who was casually sitting near the fire-place with two knitting sticks on her hands and wool on her lap, seriously nodded as an answer to her son's look towards her.
Suddenly the woman spoke up in a high resonance voice. "Alfredo!! Did I not tell you that you should have given a complaint about that bath of yours?" Her voice was suden and pipping high, peculiar to the deaf. "See now the police has arrived and you have created so much fuss over simply nothing! You should have managed it without the police. Now the landlord will also see it!"
The tiny man looked apologetically at the Lord. "You see my Lord, how the things are? Well atleast she is comparatively calm. She thinks that we have locked up the bathroom and do not try to go in there. But this incident has given a high impact to me, my Lord. I have lost all my senses and my nerves are ready to burst anytime, now! I have never seen such a thing in all my life. I could not understand anything, and I had gone absolutly numb. I also have a weak heart and thus I did not know how to step out of the bathroom. My feet had frozen, there and then. I do nkt even remember how I got out of that horrific room and called up the police. It has really, really effected me so much! After seing that horrific scene I could not even touch my food. I did not even have any bit of breakfast or lunch. I did not even work today and cancelled all the appointments with my clients today. People are being interviewed, I just don't know what to do now!"
