"Woah! Who's car is that?...Is it a celebrities or something?" someone, a kid's father asked.
Rhea felt less at ease and more at chaotic stress. Why? Because all eyes were on them. Namely, at the somewhat attractive looking and well dressed twins that had pulled up to Damien's elementary school. If only these people knew, the twins were basically on a pornographic celebrity status!
The twins carried an air of suave. They stood next to her on both sides as she climbed out of the car, with Zeven politely holding the door open for her.
She understood the poor souls that were entranced. It was hard not to look. After all, she betrayed and cursed herself by looking. For Rhea, her eyes used to the dark were naturally repulsed yet attracted to light. Parents and their children watched with glazed eyes as the twins stepped out but soon turned to inquisitiveness as Rhea was spotted.
Rhea must have looked like a dark ghost just hovering in between them.
Of course, Rhea tried to swat them away like flies. "Gah! Shoo, go away! The both of you attract so much attention."
Aziel practically snorted. "I'm sure that if you were alone, you'd attract just as much attention like the creature that you are."
Rhea hissed at him until Zeven shoved him back into the car. "We'll be taking our leave then...But are you sure you'll be okay?"
"I-I'll be fine!" she lied so that they could disappear back into their car.
It was mid July and yet, Rhea's teeth was chattering as her whole body grew stone cold. Each step made her feel like a giant crushing her feet against the earth. One step. STOMP. Another step. STOMP. She was a giant creature breathing so heavily once again to the point of hyperventilating. The kids around began to look at her oddly.
It was the eyes! Knowing anyone, even kids, were looking made her so uncomfortable! For what seemed like a lifetime, Rhea had managed to make it halfway until disaster struck. She accidentally bumped into a little girl, causing her to nearly fall over sideways.
Rhea squealed, having come into contact with another human being. "S-S-Sorry!"
"Mommy! Mommy! I'm scared...That lady looks like the scary monster girl from the ring."
M-Monster?! Now instead of a creature, Rhea had been reduced to a monster. It slightly stung, just a little bit. But it wasn't like kids could control their comments.
The mother put a hand over her child's eyes. "It's okay sweetie. Just don't look! Keep walking."
The little girl that looked at Rhea in horror couldn't stop staring as they were all headed to the same direction. And therefore, she tripped and fell onto the ground. Suddenly, Rhea felt like she was too ugly and monstrous. To put it bluntly, she might as well be a menace of the society. Why did she ever come out? This was a bad idea from the start. Her whole body froze, as the negative thoughts inside her mind began to spew out.
That's right. A monster like Rhea that terrifies even kids should stay in their dens. She was a fool, thinking she could make it to Damien's performance. Rhea was so close but it was still far, the doors to the concert growing longer and narrower as she imagined herself a monster that would instead ruin Damien's performance.
And then out of the blue...She saw one of the twins appear in front of her. It was Aziel. He leaned down and helped the little girl who couldn't stop crying to her mother as she sprained her knee and pointed at Rhea. By now, people were gathering and giving Rhea very dirty looks as if she caused this to all happen. Her heart began to squeeze until Aziel's bright smile uplifted everyone's spirits.
Aziel lifted the child high up into the air, as if to make her soar like a bird until she started smiling away the tears. "Tough kids shouldn't cry. You're a tough and beautiful little girl so smile even brighter for me hmm?"
She quickly smiled even brighter for Aziel, like magic which warmed the hearts of those around. God, he was such a bright shining creature that it was hard to look at him. He was someone that needed to be locked away so she wouldn't die from such warmth and brightness. Oh, her eyes! Rhea was practically shielding him with her hands so she wouldn't pass out due to his sparkling bright aura.
"Also..." he sighed and looked to Rhea. "It's not very nice to call someone a monster. That lady over there is just like you and me. We're all the same deep down but we just look different. She looks scary but I'm sure she's nice to kids like you...Er maybe."
That last part was typical of Aziel. She wasn't sure if she was being defended or insulted. The little girl nodded as Aziel put her down.
She ran up to Rhea and quickly said, "Sorry, forgive me please...Bye!"
It was almost comedic but more surprising watching as the little girl ran back to Aziel instead of her own mother.
"Oof!" Aziel shockingly uttered as she ran back to clutch Aziel's feet.
"Bella, come back to mommy...What are you doing!"
"No, I wanna stay with him. He's going to be my husband."
Husband?! She could see Aziel's eyes swirling from her sudden exclamation.
"Bella! Get back here this instant!..." the child's mother became flustered. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. She's young and bratty. She doesn't know what she's talking about. Please excuse us...Bella, let go of him!"
Aziel's face was encased in sweat. By now, the child's mother was trying to pull Bella off of Aziel's ankle. This was causing quite the commotion and curious onlookers. And then, laughter tickled Rhea's ears. She quickly turned back and found Zeven laughing at the situation. He noticed her looking and then stepped forward so they were side by side.
"...What are you still doing here? I-I thought the two of you had left already."
"We were going to leave but you know...It was Aziel's idea to stay and watch you for a bit," he then sighed. "And besides, it took you twenty minutes to get from our car to the school gates. That's like, less then twenty steps. We felt bad watching you struggle so we thought it best to stick around for a bit and extend our good faith as neighbors."
How embarrassing! Rhea couldn't believe they saw all of that. But the question remains...Aziel suggested they stay behind to watch her? It didn't sound like him at all. There was no way that was true. It was apparent that he hated her.
"I know what you're thinking about that brother of mine. Despite his cruel and joking words, Aziel can't help but go out of his way to make sure people are happy around him. Even though he argues with you I think there's a part of him that resonates with you too."
"I don't understand..."
"Sometimes, you don't need to understand. Most times, people do things without a reason and because they want to, probably because they don't understand why they do the things they do themselves."
"I-It's not because you want me to be your kinky sex slave?"
"...No, absolutely not. That would land us in jail."
"Oh," was all she could manage to say, thinking he was being so logical about the whole ordeal. "I guess that's true."
"We'd never force someone to be our...kinky sex slave. Our partners consent to it. Both parties are aware it's for pleasure and the job so there's no law forbidding kinky bedroom sex from being performed and recorded."
"Zeven! A little help here?" Aziel shouted, directing his eyes to the little girl that wouldn't leave his side.
He leaned in and whispered almost too seductively for her liking. "If you'd be up for something consensual, we'd welcome you with open arms. We did say, your body was our type."
Rhea could feel her ears turning a beet red because suddenly, she was imagining that scene where Aziel was smothering her in front and Zeven was closing in on her from behind.
And just like that, he left her stunned as he gallantly strolled over to steal the heart of the little girl for the second time.
"Little miss, can you please let go of my brother?"
The little girl finally let go of Aziel after catching sight of Zeven. She seemed dazed, confused even while realizing that Aziel and Zeven were twins.
Her gaze kept panning between the both of them until she nearly lost her balance again. It was the perfect opportunity for her mother came to take her away toward the concert. Rhea was appalled. The wretched twins have that effect on probably all women and now, little girls.
Every girl but of course, Rhea.
