Rhea had turned to stone. Stones were still, miserable, and drab objects that were better off dead. Yet, she was still living and suffering from the worst shock off her life. Worse than watching her neighbors have sex and kiss her, the sex crazed neighbors saw her vulnerable and naked.
NAKED.
NAKED!
The same scene kept repeating inside her head like trauma worse from what had stemmed from her agoraphobia.
Her fully naked body granted them full and up close frontal view as they just stood there and gawked. Aziel had the nerve to whistle which earned an immediate slap to the face.
The one good thing? She must have blinded them with her ugliness.
Worse yet, they had another thing to threaten her with!
She kicked everyone out after clutching her towel back on. Even Sasha, who was the one responsible for the incident of a disaster that drove her to become a stone. Rhea Emerson, shut in romance novelist who never bared her body in front of another man before, sat on the couch rigid and still, contemplating her life as a whole.
Maybe she should move places? It was probably better than suffering from shame and more unfortunate run ins with her sex crazed neighbors. Then again, the rent was decent and it was in the heart of New York's best restaurants. Everything, even according to the regular shipments she received, were convenient. It'd be a shame to leave this all behind.
No way. It was them or her. She should be the one to drive them out!
Rhea broke off from her rigid stone demeanor and began pulling her hair out, at least until a knock prompted her to look over at the door in horror.
Like clockwork to induce her to stone again, even though she told all of them to leave and never see her again, Aziel's voice called out, "Hey mysterious neighbor girl...Rhea! Hello? There's something we need to say."
That damn editor Sasha! She probably told them about her name. Now that they knew her name, they would probably give it to someone practicing witchcraft all so they could rid of her for finding out their dirty secret. She angrily walked over to the door and creaked it open, as much as the door chain allowed it to.
Aziel and Zeven stood there, apologetic eyes meeting hers. They sheepishly lingered at her doorway outside without a care that she obviously didn't want them within twelve foot from her. Aziel, faced her directly but Zeven, looked the other way.
Why oh why was the gods doing this to her? Even them just standing there oozed a sparkling aura that would drive most women flocking over like birds.
These blinding creatures were too much for her dark, sad and pathetic soul. She didn't want to deal with her scary sex crazed neighbors. The saying went love thy neighbor but Rhea heard stories of neighbors robbing or killing each other. She wasn't stupid and naive to believe these brothers were up to good if they had kinky hobbies.
"Go away," she hissed at them like some wild rabbit ready to bite or attack.
"Wait! There's something we need to tell you—"
Rhea quickly shut the door on their face before Aziel could even finish his sentence. What exactly was there to even talk about? She wouldn't allow them any time to threaten her. Smart women didn't just talk to weird strangers off the bat. More like, Rhea hated social interaction of any kind so meeting people in general was hard enough as it was.
"We won't leave from this spot until you talk to us," they both said in unison through the door.
"We'll wait forever until you open this door and face us like a damn adult," came Aziel's irrtated tone of voice.
"S-Suit yourselves!" she yelled out to them, stalking back to comfort and peace alone on the couch.
Rhea began reading one of her other competitor's books, yawning as a few hours went by. Before she knew it, she was halfway through the novel and dozed off with the book laying flat on top of her face. She walked over to the kitchen and brewed some coffee.
A thought suddenly occurred to her. They couldn't still be waiting outside, could they?
By now, they should be...Still there! Rhea peeped through the hole of the door and found the both of them on the side, dead asleep, with Aziel laying on Zeven's shoulders. The scene was almost too surreal and blinding for her to look upon but she did anyway.
Did they really want to get rid of her that badly?
There was some part of her that felt bad but most of her ignored it and she simply turned around to focus on writing more. In the back of her mind, she couldn't stop her wild imaginations from exploring the possibility of the sex crazed neighbors dying from hypothermia. The news title would read, 'Sex crazed neighbors die from hypothermia because of famous novelist...'
She nearly screamed and rummaged through her closet to find a blanket. Rhea gathered it into a ball, and quietly opened her door. The moment she opened it, she launched the blanket at them as if firing them with a cannon ball.
It stirred Aziel awake the most since he had gotten hit with the majority of her cannon ball throw. He choked from his sleep and glared at Rhea. Zeven tried to hold him back, yet still had trouble rubbing the sleep away from his eyes. But Aziel stomped over and placed a hand against the door so she couldn't shut it, even though the chain was still on.
"Ah! Go away!" she shouted, ready to close the door on his hands anytime.
"...Open this door."
"No!"
"My brother and I have been nothing but cordial to you. You rude....Hah. We have something to say about the incident the other day. And we also truly didn't mean to walk in on you..."
"You whistled at me," she pointed out, looking to the mark at his face of her hand prints.
Zeven sighed and whacked his brother on the shoulder. "That was inappropriate on my idiotic brother's part...But hell, you do have a beautiful body. He was only admiring it. We were both admiring it and are actually pretty damn attracted to it."
"As much as I hate to admit it, Zeven's right. Mysterious neighbor...Er Rhea. Your body is like the woman of our dreams."
They were creeping her out even more. She shriveled away and stared at them, thinking she was going to be sick.
Beautiful? Woman of their dreams? Surely both brothers were blind or needed glasses. She hadn't even showered in a week when the both of them walked in on her naked form. And the way they were talking about her body was so strange and subjective, completely untrue of how she viewed herself.
She should just close the door and avoid them for all eternity. But they both looked at her with determined eyes, as Aziel said, "Please, we need to tell you something."
Zeven walked over and presented her with a lunchbox of some sort as her mouth readily watered from wondering what was inside, "Um...We made some apology food too. We won't take much of your time. Let us at least say a few words and we'll leave you alone..."
"...Five minutes," she uttered as she nearly snatched the lunchbox, food winning over the dangers of her sex crazed neighbor's and their plot to rid of her.
