Panting heavily, Yoshi and the team are seen running laps with massive boulders tied to their waists.
This was the way Kane used to train as a boxer, though he used tires in his world, this world didn't have tires so he used boulders.
The boulder tied to Kane's waist was around thirty metres in height. When they were trying out which boulder would help who, Kane was fairly surprised that he had ended up with the biggest boulder there. Following closely behind was Al who's boulder was about twenty metres tall. Whilst the others all had similar sized boulders, they were all at least ten to fifteen metres tall.
"Keep moving guys, breathe, in through the nose and out through the mouth."
After about forty five minutes of running laps, everyone including Kane was drenched in sweat. They made their final lap and Grimm immediately collapses from exhaustion.
Panting heavily everyone tries to regain their breath.
Suddenly the door opens and a small goblin like man with two horns the shape of a bulls horn comes running in with a big bag at least twenty metres tall. Panting he drops the bag on the ground and the contents spill out over the floor.
This Goblin's name was Omega Areader. A half breed hired by the arena to run errands for the champion teams or favoured fighters.
Do not let its small stature fool you, Omega maybe small, but most first limit bloodline breakers couldn't rival this small goblin in raw power and brute force. The little goblin may seem harmless but since he is half Bullarian; a bull like race that thrives off bloodshed and violence, the Goblin Omega could be a deadly killing machine if provoked.
"Sir Kane, Omega gots you whats you asked for!"
Panting heavily he rests his arms on his knees for support.
"In there, is the metal lumps and ropes Sir Kane asked Omega to gets and Omega gots it for you! There are also some light wooden feather sticks and frail birds eggs."
Kane looks over and nods at Omega satisfied.
When Omega first appeared, everyone was on edge. These seasoned warriors could feel a dangerous aura coming off of Omega's body. The only one who seemed oblivious to it was Kane.
In Kane's eye's Omega looked like a cute Miniature Freeza in his second form from the animated series DBZ.
If it wasn't obvious by now, Kane was obviously an anime and games nerd. Though he was the world heavy weight boxing champ, in his down time, he would love to read light novels, watch anime and play games. So for him, this world was every nerd's paradise.
Everyone gathered around to look at the weird training equipment that Kane had requested. To the side, Omega stands there obediently staring at Kane quietly.
Looking at the warriors in the room, Omega thought he could probably handle himself in a one vs one situation and not die against these guys. He wasn't sure about the barbarian but the rest he could probably take.
However, Kane was different. He felt harmless, there was no sense of threat what so ever coming off of him. But when they were picking their boulders, Kane had started with small boulders at first but they seemed too light. At the very end when Kane decided to go with the thirty metre boulder, the moment Kane lifted the boulder off the ground, all the hairs on Omega's body stood straight for a split moment.
At the instant when Kane had lifted the boulder, a sharp death like sensation ran through Omega's body telling him to run as far as possible. Omega had never felt this before, not even when he was near the warden of this prison block.
Cold sweats ran down his back every time he saw Kane smile. His intuition told him that he should do his best to keep this man happy or he will die a miserable death. So he tried his best to get what ever Kane had requested of him and brought it back as fast as he could.
The rest of the others slowly gather around the bag of random stuff. Picking up a metal ingot and weighing in his hands, Yoshi was curious. He looked at with a questioning look on his face. "Kane, what're we going to do with this junk?"
Thor quickly cuts in while still panting. "Yeah! And what is with the running? I fail to see how this will help to make us stronger? You do realise that my short legs puts me at a disadvantage when it comes to running?"
Kane looks up at the others. All of them seem to agree with Thor. Kane shook his head lightly and pointed at Grimm who was sprawled on the floor, panting heavily.
"Why is he lying down like he's dying?" Kane ignores Thor's complaint and questions them.
"Because he's weaker than us." Wyn said off to the side and everyone nods in agreement.
"Wrong." Kane quickly shuts him down.
"He is sprawled on the ground like a dead dog purely because he is unfit. Stamina."
"But that's elementary training Kane, everyone knows that to increase stamina you can drink potions and circulate your energy using certain breathing techniques. Grimm is weak because he never had any of those. It happens a lot to those who are unfortunate and poor" Alaric states assuredly.
"So you're weak if you're poor? And your strong if you're wealthy?" Kane looks at Alaric questioningly.
"Well yeah? Isn't it? I mean, you need money to buy those potions, and you need monumental wealth to buy breathing techniques that fit your physique"
"Is that the only way to get strong?"
"Well, no... but that's the most common way of getting strong"
"And what are the uncommon ways?"
"That.. I don't know."
Kane nods his head lightly "The first step to getting stronger is knowing your inadequacies. I had asked you all to run laps with boulders that you can barely lift, tied to your waists as warm up's to help increase your base stamina."
"Warm up?" Shocked, Thor stammers, "That was only a warm up?"
"Yes, from now on this is our training regime. One hundred laps before breakfast. After breakfast individual training session will begin all the way till lunch, followed by team training till dinner."
"Kane, may i ask a question?" Yoshi shakily interjects.
Knowing what Yoshi wanted to ask, Kane beat him to it "This is what i made Naruto do."
As if a bolt of lightning smashed through his body, Yoshi quickly stands upright. Fire burning in his eyes. "If that is so, I too will train in this method!"
"Who is this Nartutow?" Thor whispers to Wyn, but Wyn only shrugs back in response saying he was clueless as well.
"So how do we train for our individual training sessions? Are you going to come up with that as well?" Thor quickly questions.
"Yes" Kane nods and looks over at Al. "Al, come here for a sec."
Kane whispers something into Al's ear and nods to him. Al looks confused but went on ahead anyway. Al flashed, and appeared about 800 metres away from everyone. His body quickly flashed, and he unlocked both his bloodline limits. With his small and ripped body, Al clenched his fist and smashed it towards the ground.
A pit almost fourteen hundred metres in length appeared. like a cone placed into the ground, the very centre, Al was standing as his body flashed and he returned to his normal size.
"What the fuck was that for?" Thor jumps in fright. Everything happened so quickly he didn't know how to react.
Kane smiles and looks at Grimm and Yoshi "This pit is for you two"
Thinking back on the all the comic books he's read and the one that stood out the most for Kane, was Rock Lee from the Naruto series and Thor's training regime in the mountains on the Histories strongest disciple anime. Rock Lee trained with insane weights covering his legs and arms, where as Thor polished his combat sumo by pushing rocks up the mountain.
This was the training plan he had come up with for these guys. If he could get stronger by shadow boxing and a little workout, surely these death like training regimes would work right?
Kane, grabs a towering shield from the bag and throws it at Grimm. The shield was at least six metres tall and 3 metres wide. It was more like a slab of iron rather than a shield.
Kane then proceeds to throw down boulders, the same size as the ones Grimm had been dragging during his run, down to the centre of the pit.
"Your individual training is simple, without using your bloodline limit, use the shield to push the boulders out of the pit. Since there are only six boulders, Omega will throw your boulders back down until you have completed one hundred of these."
With his jaw agape, Grimm was stunned silly and didn't know how to respond. This was literally an impossible task.
Kane continues on, as he pick up heavy pieces of metal from the ground as well as some rope. He hands it to Yoshi.
"Tie these to your legs, make sure that you have just enough weight on your legs that will stop you from running quickly."
Yoshi grabs the metal pieces and quickly ties them to his legs without question. This was Naruto's training method of course he would do the same!
Kane then looked around and picked up a jagged rock. Tossing it up and down he remembers the scene from Eye shield 21, a training regime that Sena had to do on the Devil's March. Kicking a pebble while running and not decreasing his speed. He tossed the stone over to Yoshi.
"Going up and down in a zig zag path, you will run with those weights on while kicking this pebble. You are not allowed to slow down nor are you allowed veer off course. Control the pebble, and run."
"I fail to see how this will help anyone improve at all! All you are doing is setting an impossible task that no one will be able..."
Before Thor could finish his sentence, Yoshi dashed down and started training seriously.
Gobsmacked, Thor couldn't figure out why Yoshi was listening to Kane's crazy training ideas. The method of training in this world has been set in stone a millennia ago. All you needed was a training scroll, technique scroll and potions that will help strengthen you. Never has he ever come across such strange training methods.
To be perfectly honest, even Kane wasn't sure how this training regime would go. But he was sure of one thing, this training regime was designed to completely destroy ones stamina and test one's limits. If one could over come this, they could over come just about anything.
He looked at Yoshi who was diligently training and a satisfied grin appeared on his face. He then looks over at the others.
"Just call me Sensei Kane, if you trust me, I will make you strong. If you don't.. well, you could always just spar with me as training, how about it?"
