Chapter 17 - New roommate (17)

Bella arrived at the penthouse and started work and once again Zane was notified and and watched his beauty.

At 12:30 She had salad and salmon ready for lunch when he walked in.

"Can you stay for dinner tonight?" he asked.

"I guess so but why?" She asked.

"I like eating with you." Zane had never liked being around anyone but he craved her company.

"Ok, is there anything special you want?" She asked.

"Anything you make is special. See you at six. Tell you brother I'll send you home."

Bella cleaned up and was deep cleaning more rooms when she heard the elevator.

2:15 Is what her watch said and she wondered if Zane had forgotten something.

But when she came out there stood Miss Heather Thornton in the flesh.

"May I help you?" Bella asked.

"What are you doing here?" Heather said.

"Cleaning." Bella shook her head.

"Well then get back to it I don't think my fiancé is paying you to stand around." Heather walked over and sat down.

Bella went back to the guest room and finished cleaning. She wasn't in there long when once again she heard the elevator and thinking the guest was gone walked out to check.

There stood Zane yelling at Miss Thornton.

"How the hell did you get into my place?" Zane's voice roared.

"Dear, your mother gave me the key. I'm just waiting on my things to be delivered soon. I'll be staying here until we get married." She said.

"The hell you will this place belongs to me not my mother. Get out or all throw you out." He jerk her to her feet.

"Zane stop this right now. Your mother begged me to move in right away. The wedding is set for three months." She said standing toe to toe.

"Fine" Bella's heart dropped at that word. She could not work here now. She walked back in to finish the room then she would go. She was not sure what to do now her other jobs would not take her back.

"Police, I have an intruder in my home please send someone to arrest them."Zane gave them the address and Heather sat there. She was not leaving.

When he got the notice that the police had arrived he worked the elevator from his phone and brought them up.

"Who is trespassing?" The officer ask.

"This woman. Please remove her." Zane said.

"Office I have a key and I live here." She said smiling.

"She does not. My mother gave her a key with out permission. I want her out." Zane was fuming now with rage.

"Miss can you prove you live here?" The officer asked.

Heather pulled out her identity card and sure as rain it listed this as her address.

"Sorry sir, if she legally lives here you will need a court order to evict her. Our hands are tied." The officer then turned to leave.

Beth had finished up and went to put everything away. She gathered her things and walked out. Zane was still arguing with heather and did not see her leave.

She left the scan card with the door man telling him she no longer worked there and headed home on the bus.

Tomorrow she would start to look for a job. The bus stopped by the college so she got off to find her sister.

That is how she found out they did not attend school here at all.

When she got home she waited for Bret.

Zane finally called his mother they had gone to far this time. Then he pulled out the big guns and called his father who had been away on business.

With in the hour Heather was leaving his penthouse the cards were changed and he ordered finger scanners. Only Bella, his secretary, and himself would have access to his place.

He then started looking around. Bella was not here. He went back to his video and watched her walk out about 4.

He tired to call her but she did not pick up. He watched as she gave something to the doorman and found out she told him she no longer worked there.

He tried many times and she would not pick up the phone so he drove over to her house and banged on the door.

Bella was reading while listening to music and did not hear anything.

◇◇◇♡♡♡◇◇◇THE LITTLE BROTHER AND SISTER

As soon as she had said this, the little Fawn sprang off quite glad and merry in the fresh breeze.

The King and his huntsmen perceived the beautiful animal, and pursued him; but they could not catch him, and when they thought they certainly had him, he sprang away over the bushes, and got out of sight.

Just as it was getting dark, he ran up to the hut, and, knocking, said, "Sister mine, let me in."

Then she unfastened the little door, and he went in, and rested all night long upon his soft couch.

The next morning the hunt was commenced again, and as soon as the little Fawn heard the horns and the tally-ho of the sportsmen he could not rest, and said, "Sister, dear, open the door; I must be off."

The Sister opened it, saying, "Return at evening, mind, and say the words as before."

When the King and his huntsmen saw him again, the Fawn with the golden necklace, they followed him, close, but he was too nimble and quick for them.

The whole day long they kept up with him, but towards evening the huntsmen made a circle around him, and one wounded him slightly in the hinder foot, so that he could run but slowly.

Then one of them slipped after him to the little hut, and heard him say, "Sister, dear, open the door," and saw that the door was opened and immediately shut behind him.

The huntsman, having observed all this, went and told the King what he had seen and heard, and he said, "On the morrow I will pursue him once again."
