Nathan White's POV
We have got our plane tickets and all the stuff that we needed for our stakeout in Denmark. Sabrina said that Sophia was the fiancée of her childhood friend and crush, Charles Debrun. I was about to get angry but when she said that she had moved on, I don't know I should believe only in her words. I guess we will see what will happen when she saw him.
"Hey, what are you thinking about so deeply?" Sabrina asked as she was looking at me from the passenger's seat.
"huh? Oh it's nothing," I said as I was driving to the said destination that has been given to us by Valentino but I don't know if it was the right place.
"so, what is it?" She asked as she was looking concerned at me. I just looked at her briefly before I looked back on the road. I took a right as we came into view of a small village but very much lively during the evening.
"I don't know, call it a gut, I guess. I don't think we're in the right place," I said as I was looking around after I parallel parked the car on the side road.
"do you think we should walk around, see what we can find?" She said as she was looking around. Sabrina has dyed her hair black from the cover that she was getting out of USA and I thought it looked good on her that made me stared at her for a fucking minute. She turned to look at me as she caught me staring.
"what's on your mind, White?" She said as she was smirking at me before she put her medium length hair into a French braid, talking about being obvious.
"Nothing, nothing," I said as I was clearing my throat so that I don't have to answer her question. I went to unlock the door and went to get some fresh air. I was pacing back and forth as I was rubbing my neck before Sabrina came from behind me and hugged me.
"it's okay, I don't mind you stare at me. But I do mind if you look at any woman like that," she said before I can sense her hot breath on my neck and ear.
"you know what I can do to you if you ever cheat on me," she said as I nodded to her.
"Good, now let's get going, shall we?" She said before she patted my back and went ahead of me. I looked at her butt before I called for her.
"Hey, what up," I said before I went running to match my paces with her.
The small fisherman village was lively in the evening as they have a festival that was going on right now. I walked side by side with Sabrina as I don't dare to take her hand into mine. When I was about to turn around, she took my hand and dragged me to our ultimate destination.
"hold me, I don't have time to have you wandering around and I have to get you," she said as she was looking at me. She smiled as she turned to the road before she stopped and went into an alley. She dragged me as well as we were hiding in plain sight. I was confused as I asked her.
"what is it?" I asked as Sabrina was so focused to look outside of the alley and she was breathing so hard. She leaned on the wall and she sighed.
"it's them, isn't it?" I asked as I looked at her. She turned sharply at me as I can see her pupils were dilating. I knew it! She said she was over it but I guess it just a dream on my side. She can't function normally if she was like this. I think I might have to kill this guy.
"can you do this or not?" I asked as I was worried about her having a panic attack whenever he was around. She nodded as she was breathing so hard. I don't know what to do to calm her down, so I just did the thing that I only know.
I put my hands on both of her sides before I pulled her closer. Sabrina looked at me as she was still breathing hard. I can see that her pupils dilated as she was focused on me and I caressed her cheeks.
"forget everything that you felt about him. Just focus on me and me only," I whispered as I knew the couple was passing through from the side view. Sabrina was attempting to look but I stopped her.
"don't, just look at me, Sabrina," I whispered huskily as I tried to control my urge to kill that lover boy and I will if he still has a feeling for this woman of my life.
"Sabrina," I said huskily as I was pulling her face closer to mine as I can feel our hot breath mingled. She looked up at me as I loved to look at her green orbs. I missed her first look when I first met her.
"Nate," she whispered to me before I did the only thing that I wanted to make sure that she was mine from the start. I claimed her mouth, not in the usual, rough aggressive way, but in a tender kiss that I wanted her to know all my feelings to her. I knew that she would love that when I kissed her slowly and tenderly because I never do that.
"Nate, they went past us," Sabrina said as I was holding her face closed to mine.
"in a minute," I said before I pulled her closer and kissed her again, and this time was like the usual.
"argh!" She moaned into my kiss before I can sense that my boner was coming.
"Nathan!" She hissed as I needed to remember why I was in this country in the first place.
"Right, sorry," I said before Sabrina went ahead and I followed her pursuit.
Sabrina Dubois' POV
I never thought that Nathan White was a very possessive man. I can sense he showed his feelings just now through his kisses as I can feel my heartbeat was beating so fast. I went to follow Charles and Sophia's footsteps as I can see their figures from afar. I hope Nathan was behind me, if not so far. I turned to look around and saw that Nathan was nowhere to be found.
"damn it," I said as I looked around while I called his cell.
"pick up, pick up," I said as I was looking around in the crowd that evening. There were so many people that I don't think Nathan can be found easily.
"come on, Nate, where are you?" I whispered as I was holding my phone so close to me.
"Sabrina?" A voice interrupted me as I was holding my phone. I thought it was Nathan as I turned around and get mad at him.
"how many times do you have to…" I said before I looked at Charles and Sophia were staring at me. I don't know what to say. I was screwed. My cover's blown. I was trying to play it cool when I knew Charles has seen right through me.
"Who are you calling Sabrina. My name is not that," I said before I was about to run before Charles stopped me in my track.
"I gave you that keychain on your phone," he said that made me stopped in my track. I closed my eyes for a while as I turned around to look at them both. I smiled as I knew that I have been compromised. I needed to do what every agent did when in this particular situation. I played along while I sent out my signal to Nate to find me.
"did you? I'm sorry, I don't know that it was you, Charles. I thought you were someone that just looked like someone I knew back home," I said as I went to shake hand with him but he went to kiss me on the cheeks and I did too with Sophia.
"so it is you, Sabrina. My gosh, what a small world! What did you do here? conference? Business trips? Vacation?" He asked as Sophia was looking at her phone, not interested in our conversation.
"I was on a business trip with my company, Biotech Inc. that I worked for in the States. I was the lab manager that needed to look closely at the bacteria cells that develop at a fast rate. It might be concerning, so that's why I am in Denmark to meet with a professor that was expert on this kind of stuff," I said as I can see in peripheral view that Sophia was interested in the conversation, all of a sudden.
"is that so? well, that's so wonderful! What is your emphasis in the lab, Sabrina?" She asked as Charles was looking at me as well. I needed to think fast that I have to get out of this as soon as possible.
"I don't know what but it focussed on the multiplication of a dangerous virus and bacteria that can cause epidemic around the world as they can be absorbed by the human through air and contact with them," I said as I tried to make this quick as possible. They nodded as they understood what I just said. then, they started to talk in Danish which was not my field of expertise.
"well, it's good seeing you guys but I need to get back to my hotel. I have more research paper to read, you know conference," I said as I was walking backward a few times.
"don't be silly, why don't you have dinner with us at our home? It would be wonderful," Charles said as he looked at me with his hazel eyes. He knew that it would make me agreed immediately.
"Okay," I blurted out. Damn you, stupid hormone.
"Great, let's go," Sophia said as she was smiling wickedly like she has something planned for me. Nathan, where are you?!!!
