On that day, I was not allowed to go out for work. So I called the hospital to inform the management of my absence to ensure that there would be a nurse to be on duty on my behalf. Just then, the management office informed me that there was a caller pestering them asking for my hospital schedule. It was hospital's policy not to divulge to anybody specially outsiders of such information unless there is a court order issued. I was also informed that I have a gift waiting at the guard house. The delivery man insisted to deliver it inside the hospital but the guard was firmed not to allow it inside.
My heart skipped beating, alarm bells ringing again in a deafining level.
After the call ended with the management staff, I immediately dialled the guard house's number and authorized them to open the gift. It was elegantly wrapped in a shocking red glitter paper, it was the size of a shoe box with a white ribbon bow tie. I told them that whatever is its content, they can have it. The guards were excited to open the box thinking that it was from the same sender of fruits. They knew nurse Mia's generosity so they never suspected what was inside the box. When it was opened, they were shocked of what they saw. It was a white dead cat with red ribbon on its neck. The guard said, the cat was strangled to death with that blood stained white ribbon turned red on its neck. It was traces of blood on it that made the white ribbon turned to red. "Whoever sent this to you madam is so cruel."
