Chapter 12 - Parents

Emerald Rose

"Tonight my dear parents, we would like to give you a surprise that you'll surely love." My son Rome is still giving his speech. I'm so excited for their gift and I don't know why. I mean this is not the first time that they'll give us a gift, but this is the first time I've felt this much excitement.

My name's Emerald Rose Fortalejo Reegan-Elliot, and sitting beside me is my husband, Stanford Sky Huntsman Elliot. We are the parents of Reese, Rome, the twins Rein and Reid, and our only daughter Roshanne. Roshanne, whom we've lost already. I can't help but wish she were here.

My thoughts were interrupted when I saw the twins escorting a girl towards the stage. I gave them a questioning look but they just smiled in return. Coincidentally, I met the girl's gaze and I felt strange, like somewhat I know this girl.

"Do you know who she is, husband?" I asked my husband Sky.

"I also don't know my wife, I guess she is the surprise Rome was talking about." He replied.

"Ladies and gentlemen, mom and dad, we would like you to meet our long lost little princess, Skyla Roshanne Reegan Elliot."

As if on cue, the girl took off her mask. I gasped. Oh my God! Our daughter is alive!

"Did I saw it right, husband? Tell me, I'm not dreaming, am I? Our precious gem is really alive right?" I am now crying while holding my husband's hand.

"No wife, you're not dreaming. Our precious is really alive!" I can see tears forming in his eyes. My husband, who is one of the most feared individuals in the business world, is crying because of joy.

My husband and I immediately went upstairs to hug our precious daughter. This is the best anniversary gift ever.

"My precious you are really alive! We thought we already lost you. I never stopped thinking of you every single day. I love you precious, mom promise you that no one can harm you again." I cried while hugging her tightly, as if afraid to lose her again.

"Mom, dad, finally! I thought this day would never come, that I will be able to meet you in this lifetime." My precious also hugged me while crying.

Oh God thank you for this wonderful gift. I let her go so that my husband can also hug her.

"Oh God precious, my gem, thank you for coming back. I love you and I swear I'd hunt those bastards that took you away from us." He also hugged our daughter tightly while crying.

"Group hug!" I heard the twins shout and join their father in hugging their lil' sister. I also do the same and my two other sons, Reese and Rome, followed suit.

Thank you Lord! Finally! Our family is now complete.
