Chapter 5 - Interlude - My Son is Weird!

My name is Youta Hideyoshi, my beautiful wife Akira recently gave birth to my son Hoshi.

He had Akira beautiful pink hair and eyes, and my handsome face if I say so myself.

After birth, Hoshi cried loudly when his umbilical cord was cut by the doctor.

He cried consistently until he opened his eyes a few minutes later.

For some odd reason he quieted immediately, Hoshi started to focused on something in front of him.

After a few seconds, Hoshi started to let out some cute gurgles.

My wife swooned and quickly got me to grab my son from the doctor.

We tried to entertain him.

Unfortunately, our attempt failed and nothing grabbed Hoshi attention.

Hoshi just stared straight and focused on something and soon fell asleep.

After a few days of examinations, we were allowed to take Hoshi home from the hospital.

Hoshi was an inquisitive child; he would examine everything around him.

My son had some of oddest habits though.

Hoshi would sometime stare straight and focus for long periods of time without blinking.

He would sometimes stroke his chin and looked like he was contemplating something.

Hoshi would display a large range of emotions from sadness to elation.

I remember playing peek-a-boo with him, I swore he had a look of contempt.

I almost cried to my wife that day.

My son rarely cried, only making noises when he required something such a diaper change or he was getting hungry.

My son never played with any of his toys, I only have seen him lifted and curled them.

I could have sworn he was working out; I have seen him doing something similar to a push-up and sit-up.

He was often a sweaty because of his activities and required a constant bath.

My wife thought it was cute and manly, I swear he got it from her side of the family.

Hoshi was able to crawl everywhere after a few weeks, we had to confine him to his playpen.

After learning to crawl, Hoshi started to attempt to stand only to fall.

Hoshi was a persistent child; he would fall and retry multiple times until he got tired.

He started to use his playpen wall as a rail to assist him and eventually succeed.

Hoshi immediately attempted to walk after learning to stand without help, I was so proud and worried.

I and Akira would constantly hover over him to prevent his falls, he never cried once.

Hoshi eventually learned to walk after some time, my wife insisted that I tape everything with my camcorder.

Sooner after learning to walk, he began to try to run.

We had to keep an eye on him, just in case he hurt himself.

After some time, he finally was able to run without falling.

Hoshi paused for a second after successfully learning to run.

He lifted both his arm to perform a victory pose and let out a cute giggle.

It was one of oddest thing we filmed so far.

After a few minutes of celebration, Hoshi looked like he ate something nasty for some odd reason.

He went back to normal fairly quickly, Hoshi had odd mood swings.

My son is weird!

No matter what, Hoshi is my son and I will love him regardless.
