Lu Aotian froze even more.
He had waited for ages to hear those words from her...yet now that he finally did, his first reaction was to think that it was a dream.
He reached out to pinch his hand that was still holding her waist.
No pain...so it's a deam after all. He felt disappointed.
"Hey! Pinch yourself! Why did you pinch me?" Wan Jia exploded unhappily.
Oh... so he had not pinched himself but pinched her waist. He was really not dreaming, she had said that she loved him. Well, he already knew it, but she kept denying before. She actually confessed it....
In fact, if her eyes were not looking at him with so much affection, he would think she was pulling a prank.
He, a man who always uttered golden words whenever he opened his mouth and never lost to anyone, just kept opening and closing his mouth with nothing to say.
Wan Jia found his surprised expression adorable and sealed his lips again. His brain was in a turmoil. Did she mean it? Was she really not pulling a prank as part of her revenge?
"Aren't you going to say anything?" she was unhappy that he only looked at her with that shocked expression and did not utter a single word.
"I don't know what to say. What should I say?" he was breathless.
"Idiot." she smacked his head. Did he really not know how to react to a confession? He was making her feel awkward.
He took her hand and held it against his racing heart. "Wanwan, you already know how much I love you, don't you? I just....I didn't expect this... I'm overwhelmed."
"Pffft!..." she laughed out loud.
"What's so funny?" His expression turned deadly. "If this is a prank Wanwan, I'm going to strangle you!" he said in an extremely scary voice.
"Haha...relax" she said as she swung her legs that were dangling beside him. "I just haven't seen you being this cute in a long time."
"You'll get more chances in future." He held her chin and kissed her lips lightly as if tasting something extremely valuable before prying her lips open to deepen the kiss slowly. She closed her eyes as her hands felt for his shirt buttons to unbutton them.
Crash!
They both looked at the doorway when they heard the sound of something falling.
Little Jia stood there facing away from them with her little hands tightly covering her eyes. Her huge princess doll had been thrown carelessly on the floor.
Now... this was awkward.
"Baby!" Wan Jia straightened her disheveled clothes, quickly buttoned up his shirt and went to hug her baby.
The little girl's first reaction was
"Ew, daddy!" she gave her father a murderous glare.
Lu Aotian was speechless. How was it his fault? Little girl, it's your mother who confessed to me and seduced me. Can't you see?
His mood was, however, too good for him to argue with his love rival at the moment. The little girl joined them in the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
"How about Little Jia and I go to the theme park? I suddenly feel like celebrating." she suggested.
His back stiffened for a few seconds. "Just you and Little Jia?"
"Yes yes Daddy! I want to go with Mommy!" the little girl butted in bubbling with joy.
"Yes," Wan Jia replied excitedly, not realizing how cold his expression was turning.
"Princess, let me talk to your mother alone for a while okay?"
"Mmh." she said unhappily. If father was sending her away so he can prevent her from going out with Mommy, she would not forgive him.
"What's the matter?" she finally realized something wrong with the way he looked at her.
He held her wrist tightly. "I thought you gave up on these stupid thoughts!" he snarled.
"What stupid thoughts?" she did not understand.
"You think I'm stupid? You're the stupid one. Such a perfect plot. I almost got fooled but thanks to your impatience I got to see through you within just a few seconds."
"I really don't understand what you mean... ow! My wrist hurts."
He loosened his grip on her now red and slightly swollen wrist. "You knew that I wouldn't let you go out with my daughter alone didn't you?
So you came up with this pretence confession, huh? Heh... what a brilliant plan, Gaining my ttust so that you can go away with her? You think I'm an idiot?" he bellowed.
Huh? He had misunderstood her? That wasn't her intention at all!
"I really meant to confess to you. It wasn't so that I could escape... if...if I really wanted to escape, wouldn't I wait for at least a few days and totally gain your trust first?" she shakily explained.
He narrowed his eyes "You knew that if you waited those so called few days I would be even more suspiscious."
"You... you don't trust me?" she looked shocked. He was not going to buy that look.
"Do you deserve to be trusted?"
This girl was an expert trickster. If she wanted to use psychological tricks, she wouldn't do it like normal people. She would in fact think of what the other person would do to counterattack and scheme against the counterattack measure instead. Having one's guard up would not help at all.
To put it simply, her thought process could not be deciphered using an ordinary person's common sense.
Humph! She had done it to him before. Not once but twice. This time he completely had his guard up against her.
