I stood up immediately and walked away from my ex and my idiot best friend.
"Pssst!" I heard someone as I walked through the crowded court. "Pssst!" then again. I looked around and found uncle Johnny gesturing me to go to where he stands.
Uncle Johnny is my mom's friend and Elle's uncle. Did I mention before that my family is a close friend of Elle's family?
Whenever my family goes tripping, my mom always asks for Elle's dad to let Elle and her sister come with us. That's how close we are.
I went to his direction near the store. He was with boss Erwin. Boss Erwin is the husband of uncle Johnny's second cousin. When I got there, boss Erwin instantly tapped my shoulder.
"You just came back. Can you cope up with the practice later tonight?" he asked and uncle Johnny hastily interrupted. "Of course he can. He's a good player." he said and looked at me. "Right?" he confirmed and I nodded.
"Yes, uncle. Of course. I'm more determined to win this game because it will be for my girlfriend." I assured and they both smirked at me.
"What?" I asked and boss Erwin said, "Which one?" I gave them funny face. "Only one." I answered. They wouldn't believe me. Is it that hard to believe? "You'll know soon." I just said and excused myself.
I went to Elle's direction and acted cool as if I was watching. Bringing my phone out of my pocket, I immediately messaged a text to Elle. "Turn to your back, love." instantly, she turned. Her face bacame as red as the fuji apple when she saw me. I shyly smiled and went beside her.
I crossed my arms around my chest. "Hi!" I greeted while pretending to watch the game. "H-hello." she muttered. I could feel her nervousness. I side glanced and saw how stiff she was. I found it cute since it was the first time I saw a reaction like this from her.
I laughed silently but she may have sensed it because she raised her eyebrow and pouted. I went closer and whispered. "I'm all yours, love. There's nothing you should be uncomfortable about." her breathing hitched. "I love you." She looked at me after I said that and smiled sweetly. "I love you too." she replied in a whispered way.
I was about to say something when a lean guy interrupted. He has calm yet terrifying eyes. Was a bit smaller but has an authoritative figure. I think he looked familiar but because I haven't been here for months, I may have forgotten. He cleared his throat and said, "You may not notice but I did." he looked at Elle and returned to me.
"I saw how your distance became closer and closer. You were almost touching each others cheeks." he said with a stern voice.
I gulped and stared at Elle who remained calm. I frowned at the thought of why is she still this calm. "Are you two....?" the guy gestured both of his forefingers to the two of us and Elle just smiled.
He came closer and told me, "Well... you'd better cherish this cousin of mine coz there are other men piling up to court her if you do something crazy." I looked at him in disbelief and averted to Elle and back at him. "You're her cousin?" he nodded and smiled.
"Well... Hi! I'm Mark. Nice to meet you." I extended my arm to shake his hand which he politely took. "I'm Ark, but you can call me Balong." he said. Wow! Our names almost sounded the same.
