Chapter 19 - A Forewarned Man Is Worth A Hundred Cheap Little Conquerors

At the end of that day that had everything to be perfect, Diana woke up feeling her body heavy.

Her stomach was churning and her head was spinning.

She felt someone hug her and froze. Glancing around, she realized she was in Alexander's quarters at Dunkelheit Shine.

Her body relaxed and she felt, for the first time in her life, that there was a safe place.

Alexander woke up with the girl's movements and looked at her.

"How do you feel, my queen?" He asked softly. His husky, sexy voice was soothing and an aphrodisiac in Diana's ears.

"I'm fine." She answered in a weak voice and blushing furiously.

"You are safe. This is your home. No one will hurt you here." Alexander hugged her tenderly. "I would die before I let anyone hurt you. Do not be afraid."

He noticed that her hands were still shaking.

"Do you know what happened?"

"Diana, honestly, I know all about you. Well, almost everything." He whispered looking into her eyes. "Did you really believe that I would simply propose to someone without investigating that person's life first? I'll be very honest, I've felt sexual desire for you since the first time I saw you, but I only thought about marrying you after making sure you weren't a problem person."

"What if I was a problem person?"

"I would think about the possibilities. One, ease my sex drive by asking you to go out and have a good night. Or two, forget about everything and move on. And yet, there is the third possibility, I would try to make you agree to be less problematic and solve existing problems. But, it also depends on how problematic you could be."

"Don't you feel like I could get mad and break up with you after hearing that?"

"I think our relationship will only move on if there is honesty. I will not lie to you. I can omit but not lie. And I will always try to answer your questions but I cannot promise that I will always answer. There are things that the less you know, the better for you."

"I can accept your relationship policy." Diana smiled and got up and went to take a shower.

When she returned ten minutes later she lay on the huge bed.

Alexander hugged her again and whispered tender words in her ears that she slept again.

The next morning in the office of Conglomerate President Dunkelheit, the glacial air was chilling.

A tall, handsome man with the icy atmosphere stood with his hands in the trouser pockets of his black suit tailored by a famous and exclusive designer.

Alexander was still annoyed by the whole situation from the day before.

He looked down at the lively city at his feet and felt that maybe he should rethink some things he took for granted.

The truth is that he was considering making some drastic changes to his modus operandi to deal with threats that seemed to come from all sides.

A half hour later, Diana, who was attending a meeting with some directors of LSM Enterprise, entered the room and greeted Alexander as usual.

It seemed like all the commotion from the day before never happened.

She kept a soft, sweet smile, and her eyes weren't so indifferent.

They worked frantically just before lunch and Alexander used this time to make his plan.

Kim handed Diana a series of documents and asked her to sign that it was routine reporting and that she already knew everything that was written and that it was LSM Enterprise's design project for some of the new subsidiaries of the Dunkelheit Conglomerate to the elaboration of websites and logos. That was real, but among the working papers, a small contract hid quietly. A lifetime waiver for divorce contract.

When he noticed that Diana was reading the documents carefully, Kim sighed.

Diana didn't feel like something was wrong and just read the header of the documents.

Kim, who was smart enough to hide the documents by stapling a subsidiary service order name to disguise the central purpose.

Diana signed her name on the pages and fifteen others, which were really business matters.

When he noticed that Diana was reading the documents carefully, Kim sighed.

"Director Aimer, just sign quickly, the president should also sign some of these. We are short of time."

Diana signed her name on the contract and fifteen others, which were really business matters.

Kim took the documents before she could try to read anything and went to Alexander. The handsome man looked around and signed the divorce waiver, and other documents.

"Go process the documents immediately." Said Alexander quietly. Almost impossible to hide the satisfaction in his voice.

"Yes, President."

Kim hurried out and went to file the divorce waiver agreement. In less than an hour and a half, he returned with the deal signed and with official stamps.

Now it was official. Diana Aimer, if you marry Alexander, can never divorce.

Alexander looked at the documents and smiled brightly and with a twist that was mean.

A forewarned man is worth a hundred cheap little conquerors.

She was his wife and lady. No one can change this situation. Not even Diana, who signed a divorce waiver.

The lifetime waiver for divorce contract means they can never have a divorce in dispute. If one wants a divorce, the other must be willing to give. No concession, no divorce.

"You already had plasticized, that's good. We can not have accidents." Alexander commented absently, eyeing the documents wrapped in thick, tightly sealed transparent plastic. The two-way divorce waiver agreement - involved separately and firmly.

"Yes, President. I thought you might have problems. Do I need to store in the building's safe?"

"No. I'll take you to the maximum safe in Dunkelheit Shine."

Kim's eyes widened. The maximum security vault at Dunkelheit Shine is twenty times safer than the maximum security vault at Dunkelheit Conglomerate headquarters.

"Yes, President."

Alexander took out a silver case with a secret lock. He placed the documents and closed the briefcase.

"Oh yeah. I was forgetting. Send the Alpha team to that plague."

"All of them?" Kim asked with a scowl.

"Not necessary for now. Just the most dangerous of all."

"The one we talked about yesterday?"

"That same bug. We need a purification."

"Yes, President."

The rest of the day, Alexander was happy and excited.
