Chapter 25 - I Trust You

Diana woke up a few hours after exhausting physical activity and looked over at Alexander, who was sitting on the couch in front of the sunny balcony, decorated with red climbing roses.

Hearing the sound of movement behind him, Alexander rose from the couch and saw Diana sitting on the bed.

She used the sheet to cover her naked body, but it was still possible to see her skin glowing with a healthy pink tone. His long obsidian black hair was spread over his thin shoulders, confused by all the activity. The pink cheeks were even more flushed than usual, making Alexander swallow hard. She looked like a fairy from heaven.

Alexander, even a little out of control, was very careful not to leave marks on the girl's milky white skin. It would be terrible to see purple marks on such beautiful skin.

"If I get up, will you attack me again?" Diana asked raising her eyebrows.

The slightly husky voice was very seductive in Alexander's ears.

"I think the best solution will be to look sideways when you do that."

"Yes. Look to the side. I can't take another round. At least not for now. You destroyed me! My body is a little sore."

"Where does it hurt?" Asked Alexander, worried.

"The belly hurts! I feel like I'm getting my period. Damn, how can you push so deep and rough? And the legs are weak! You are wild thing!"

"Milady, forgive me. I promise not to be so rude next time."

"You will get it?"

"I'll try ... Well, get ready first. Let's eat and then I'll show you something very important, yes?"

"Is it really necessary? I want to rest."

"Yes, it's necessary. Much."

"All right."

"Good."

Diana sighed bitterly. Her body really was a disaster.

"That cruel man really abused the situation." Diana sighed complaining, into the tub filled with warm water.

After putting on a simple white dress, she went down to the dining room where Alexander was sitting.

He drank a cup of black tea and read the news on the tablet casually.

"The idiots in parliament are getting worse and worse. Well, this is beneficial to us. Gallen has a little more work, but it's easier to keep a low profile."

"Gallen?" Asked Diana. "The Parliamentarian Gallen Brienne?"

"Gallen Dunkelheit Brienne. My oldest cousin. He went into politics to support the family. The second cousin, Louis, is a prosecutor. It helps us evade anything involving the judiciary. The two are twins and run Brienne family businesses together in their spare time. Steve Dunkelheit Beaufort is the third, doctor and engineer. He designed many of our machines, equipment and weapons. Philippe Dunkelheit Beaufort is the sixth cousin. He is well focused on the family business, a complete workaholic. He helps me with unconventional business like Henry. The others you have already met."

"Do you only have male cousins?"

"Yeah. Looks like my dad's generation has this problem. I wanted a sister but my mom couldn't get pregnant again and then my dad died. And my useless aunts only gave birth to boys. So annoying."

Diana laughed at Alexander's disgusted face. Apparently he really wanted a sister.

"I'm sure you had fun even without a sister."

"Who likes those ugly, smelly guys. If I had a sister it would have been better."

"I'm sure you would be much angrier if you had seven sisters."

"Let's not overdo it. I wanted a sister, not seven."

Diana laughed even more after this statement.

Lunch was served and the couple continued to comment on the political and business news.

When they had finished eating, Alexander got up and took Diana's hand, heading for the south wing.

After passing a spectacular hall, a huge music room with various musical instruments and several other rooms, Alexander got into an elevator and pushed the S1 button and pressed his index finger on the player next to the control panel.

The elevator descended quietly and when the doors opened, a stone corridor with several doors appeared.

Alexander held Diana's hand and entered through the third door.

Inside the room, several shooting booths were busy with people wearing goggles, ear protectors and holding a variety of weapons as they fired at targets several feet away.

Alexander grabbed two pairs of glasses and two 45mm pistols.

"Now you are my wife. You must learn to defend yourself." Alexander put his glasses on Diana's face and handed one of the pistols. "I'll teach you how to protect yourself. This is your most important task, to defend yourself and survive no matter what the situation. Understood? You will take this weapon with you. Leave it in a place that is easily accessible in an emergency."

"I… I don't think I'll be able to shoot anyone."

"It gets easier when the enemy has a gun pointed at your head. Either you shoot or you die. You are not alone, you cannot die, so you must shoot."

"I'm not sure about that yet."

"You'll be fine."

"What if I accidentally shoot someone?"

"Diana, I trust you."

Diana took a deep breath and picked up the gun. She went to one of the shooting booths with Alexander and the man handed her a pair of earplugs.

"I'll do it first, you must have full attention to understand the operation, okay?"

Alexander took out the ammunition cartridge from the gun and showed it to Diana.

"This is where the projectiles are stored. Each cartridge has eight projectiles and one in the chamber." Alexander tugged on the chamber bolt and a projectile jumped down the back of the gun. He took the projectile and showed it. "I wanted to give you one with seventeen, but that would be hard to handle. To find out what the size of the projectile is, you should always look at the back. There will always be the indication here." Alexander took the projectile that jumped from the camera and showed the mark "45" on the back. "I'm wondering if I should give you a 45mm or a 9mm… I think the 9mm would be better."

"Why?"

"The 9mm cartridge can hold seventeen projectiles without problems. When the projectile is housed in the chamber, the end of the extractor protrudes, showing a red mark. Thus, it is possible to visually or tactually control the existence of a projectile in the chamber, without having to back off the lock. Even though the two were designed to prevent accidental disassembly, the 9mm is more versatile, the 9mm can shoot right down to dirty of sand. The 45mm is a more powerful weapon, the projectile is robust and there are some rifles of this caliber and the recoil is quite violent, but not as versatile. And accidents can happen to someone who has just learned to handle. Well, I'll teach you with 45, the most of the weapons concealed around the house are 45 or 9 mm."

"Most?"

"There are some rifles."

" … Okay…"

Alexander put the cartridge back in and began to teach Diana how to handle the gun.

"I will not have problems learning from a different one that I will use?"

"No.The differences are relatively small. I'll show you how…"

After three hours of classes and countless shots, Diana knew enough to defend herself.

"Every week you should come at least twice and train for two hours, understand?" Alexander asked with a serious expression.

"I have another option?"

"No."

"Then fine."

The couple left the shooting training hall and went to the hall across the hall.

"This is the martial arts training hall. We had training today, so training in this room will wait until tomorrow."

Alexander opened the room and there were several people fighting with bare hands but also with knives, swords and various other weapons.

"Knowing how to defend yourself without a firearm is extremely necessary, so you must also learn to fight."

"What!? I do not want! I am a sedentary!"

"Do you really think your body will be fine if you don't exercise? Rest assured, I won't throw you here for now. You must increase your stamina and strength first."

"I'm starting to consider divorce."

"I think I need to teach you some discipline."

Alexander took the girl in his arms and carried it to the elevator, pushing the button for the third floor.

When the elevator doors opened, he walked quickly to the first available room, locked the door and threw the girl on the bed.

"Now let's teach you never to say those ugly words again." Alexander said quietly as he unbuttoned his shirt. "Let's see if after that you will still know the meaning of the word divorce."
