Chapter 3 - 003

John then to went inspect the exterior of the castle, he circled around the castle to see on how it looks from different angles.

"Okay system, I'm done with the external inspection while it's standing still. I need to see how it looks like when it have the spider legs and how it looks like when it's moving around."

[Acknowledged]

A mechanical noise could suddenly be heard underneath the castle, then from the right side of the walls came out the legs and then it happened again with left facing walls almost immediately. Eight mechanical legs that make the castle move could be now seen, 4 in the right and 4 in the left.

"Okay now that I see it, it more resembles a crab rather than a spider but then again most crabs move sideways rather than through a straight line."

"Revert it to being a stationary castle let me check in interior."

[Acknowledged]

The same noise could be heard again and the legs went back into their corresponding walls but this time the process is much faster. Whirring sound then came out from the 3ft steel gate and it open outwards. After that came a wooden door.

He went inside and he could see before him was the great hall which compromise about most of the whole floor it also has table and chairs which then made him remember that whole floor is more or less 1km².In the middle of the great hall is an expensive looking chandelier. He then went further in to check everything else. At the far back of the floor consist the quest counter/registry. Right beside the entrance of the floor space is the canteen or cafeteria call it whatever you want. Right next to it are the shops which consist of the store for general goods then the blacksmith and last is the butcher for the hunted animals or monster carcass. To the left of the stores is the space for the infirmary or sickbay. To the left of the entrance is space for the comfort rooms. To the left and right of the counter is two rooms that he don't know the function yet. All the rooms have their basic appliances and equipments in place, all that is need are workers to use them.

"System. What are those two rooms for?"

[Host you will know its function when you have enough authority or level.]

"Okay…" He then proceeds to the stairs which is in between counter and the two rooms, one in the left and right going to the 2nd floor. In the 2nd floor that consist of the staff bedrooms, conference rooms, warehouse, in-house botany (Complete with artificial lighting). He then notice spiral staircases leading to what he assume will be the towers outside. Leading to each room is a door, after he went inside one, he was then teleported into an independent space. The system then told him that each door will send him to an independent space, one for each perspective rooms, there are currently 10 rooms for the staff. The room for the staff is 30 sq2, the decoration of each room is just a single bed, a wardrobe, a desk and a chair. Then there's my personal office and my own personal room complimented by a mini library and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. As for the inside his bedroom, he saw that there's not much of decoration inside his room. The room is a text book example of Spartan living much to his dismay.

'Okay, my room have a lot of room for improvement but how the fuck did the warehouse and the garden got into the 2nd floor? I don't fuckin' know'

[The layout of castle's interior is based on your preference and space availability]

"Based on my preference and availability huh …" He then stroked his chin as if thinking deeply.

"Wait! Did you just read what I was thinking system!?"

[Yes. I've latched myself into your consciousness and soul and with that I can easily read your mind and emotion.]

"Okay that makes things better." He walked toward his king sized bed and jump to its comfy embrace, hugged the 4 large pillows and sniffed the blanket. 'Hmmm-mmm everything smells new and fresh.'

[Everything in the castle were just materialized host, so everything IS new and fresh.]

"Of course I knew that!" John snorts.

[Host there are starter package that is located in your inventory go and check it out.]

"How do I do that?"

[You either say inventory out loud or just think of opening your inventory. You could also do this to your skill page, status page and Guild management page]

"Hehehe good thing I could just think about it or else it would be awkward always mumbling inventory or the others. But let me try the 1st method of opening the inventory. Inventory!" He then pump his fist up high while shouting it.

[….]

The inventory interface then pop upped in front him. Only one inventory tile is currently being occupied, it has an icon of a box with a red wrapping and a white ribbon on it. He then focused on the said icon

[Starter gift pack] – Host can choose either the active starter kit or the passive starter kit.

"System what's the difference between the two? Give me precise explanation and don't dawdle on the beginner info."

[Acknowledged. Active starter pack lets you start with a skeleton crew NPCs to man the smithy, infirmary, registry, shop, butcher and the cafeteria, they will start with basic appropriate items and necessities corresponding with their occupation. With this you will have to actively hunt outside so you could raise your level, you will have a support crew that will be all focus on making YOU stronger.

Passive starter pack gives you three NPCs, of which you could select and what jobs they possess. They could be either Swordsman(Basic), Archer(Basic), Mage(Basic), Thief(Basic), Cleric(Basic). No matter what combination you choose, only three could be chosen for the starter Guild mates you have. What makes this a passive starter pack is that you will have to support them, although they will have basic equipment when they spawn you will have to maintain those equipment and what they eat until you have other support crew to replace you. Yes will also have to learn blacksmithing and cooking to do this properly. Although they can do it themselves, they're still people too, they will need to recuperate/sleep. With this, you will start with a new passive skill (Exp Share 10%) which lets you leech 10% experience points from them.]

"Wow the passive starter pack is a LOT of work isn't it?"

[Yes. But it is the safest way to level up. You won't have to endanger yourself to hunt animals or monster outside and it can be quite monotonous if you're not use to it but it will be a great way to grind your blacksmithing and cooking skills with this.

On the other hand the active starter pack makes you embolden you to go outside to hunt animals and monsters. This makes you level higher and make you stronger which in turns upgrades the system that will unlock higher level of benefits for you.]

[If you choose the Active pack, the quest will be given to you directly by the system, ME. That how it will continue until you recruit natives to the Guild or employees summoned by the system. You are the only "field agent" 'till that happens.

The Passive pack will give you the choice on what quest you will give and to whom it will be given so you could choose the perfect person for the perfect job. Since the Guild was just established the quest will quite easy such as; explore the perimeter surrounding the place the Guild is currently at, Intel gathering about the flora and fauna. Those two could just be one and the same since you would be going outside and will experience new things.]

[As you level up, you will encounter different scenarios and different quest will be given to you, and so different works could be commissioned by others as well. I will just explain as you come across them.]

"Wait commissioned? The heck is that?"

[It means other people will come to the Guild to post different works to be done. Since they're jobs people who do them gets paid by US, the Guild. If someone post a job at the Guild we will have them pay upfront so we won't get cheated, we will get a fixed cut on the said pay aside from the "processing fee." I, the system, will get the "processing fee" while you get the fixed cut from the pay, that's IF the job gets done, in the case job gets botched YOU will have to return the payment and pay them your cut from the job. By the way the "processing fee" is non-negotiable and non-refundable.]

"Wow that's just a cold-hearted and ruthless business module. Hey, what if client posted let just say a fetch quest while knowingly hidden the truth that the only way to get the said item is to I don't know kill a dragon or something" Asked John as he's walking along the 1st floor of the Guild.

[Our people/employees can choose to back out of the said job and there will be no consequence from our side since it will be a breach of mutual agreement with the client they will then report it to us regarding the matter, we will then ask the client to pay for the travel expenses but if our people/employees choose to continue the job and succeeded we will have the client pay the appropriate amount if he's/she's willing to. It will be a different story if other party is able but don't want to, YOU will have to think a way to make him pay in any way possible. When all said and done we will put him/her into a list of clients with bad reputation.]

John then walked to a nearby table then sat on the chair, leaned back and stare at the ceiling. "Hmm, how about assassination, stealing and espionage? Do we even accept those kind of jobs?"

[If you are willing then certainly we will accept them. If you do I highly advise that you be really, really discrete about those jobs since it will negatively affect OUR reputation]

He sighed while looking at the ceiling while thinking what will be his future by his decision today.
