I turned around again. 'I can't let a mortal bother me like that.'
I walked up to Lucifer's stall and smiled. "How have you been?"
Lucifer looks at me. I sense cold sweat appearing on his back and frowned.
"I'm sorry Yamake, but I really can't afford to take care of you anymore. If you need help financially, I could introduce you to some of my costumers. They might need your services."
'Is that how he sees me? As a beggar who is extorting his money with strength? Damn, I underestimated his hunger for money.' I though thoroughly disgusted.
"Don't worry about that, I have ways to make money now." I said trying to relax.
He looked at me with a untrusting expression.
"What is the problem?" I asked aggravated by his expression.
"We-well, you clothes." He said quietly said scared by my tone. He even started trembling.
"What about them." I snapped.
"You never bought new ones so I didn't think it was true and I seems impossible to get a job in one day when no one knows you and I thought you came back to me because you were hungry..." At this point the pressure I gave from my glare made the ground beneath him wet.
'So he didn't expect me to live! When he left me he knew full well I might have died, but he didn't want the burden on him and forced me to leave! So he brought me along just to protect him (have someone to sacrifice) help him catch food, move boxes and set up camp'
The pressure he felt was intensified 5 times over causing him to instantly collapse.
Yesterday, I had learned how to manipulate my aura or power to do certain things. Using random people on the streets as test subjects and the books from the Mage's library as a base, I created a method to channel my aura. While most people hide their auras inside their bodies in what they called a cizntizn, I didn't have on of those and to my surprise, it wasn't made of elements, but world energy. Of course I could harness the world energy to create one, but the problem was that I didn't know how. It was like giving someone a communication disk and telling them to make a dragon. I had the parts but not the method. Another point was that to make a storage unit strong enough to hold my power, I doubted that the energy of this world was nearly enough to create it. So, my great mind came up with the idea of using the world itself as the storage. The core of the world would be where my power was stored. Truly, this was a lucky world. With my power sealed here, the world would have a increase in power and also introduced new elements in. The reason that I needed people to create this method was to make sure they could handle different energy and see how far their limit for energy tolerance was. Results showed that normal mortals (such as warriors, Knights, martial artists, etc.) had a 20% decrease in all stats while mages and other similar mortals had a 500% increase in all stats. Of course to test this I had to abduct a few people here and there and many died. However, that didn't really affect me. In the end I managed to make no stats decrease but I gave all mages a 15% increase in power. When did I do this? Last night.
Now, when I was glaring at Lucifer, I used the world to channel my aura into this one spot where he was standing and intensifying it at will.
Looking at the person on the ground, I felt no regret. Sure he was the first mortal who "helped" me, but my aura (that I activated the second I saw him) had made him reveal his true thoughts (this was almost as effective as mind reading), otherwise he might have pretended to be welcoming and causing me to bring him with me to Kery's. 'How dangerous' I thought, 'without being able to read their minds, I have no idea what the mortals were thinking.' I promised myself I would learn how to read humans without my elemental powers. The salesgirl from "a the Place Of Magic" was actually pretty good at that. However, it seemed that Lucifer's skill of acting and deceiving were more than she could handle. I planned to make a trip to the "School of Psychology".
I released my aura and left in a foul mood.
I went to "Bermuda Clothing", the best clothing store in town. As always, I hated being looked down on. The only problem was that I had no sense of mortal fashion. My memories showed me outfits, but I had no idea what I should wear to appear the most grand and above everyone else.
"What are you looking for sir?" A employee asked. I could tell by the glimmer in her eyes that she was looking down me. Her eyes were just the same as the employee at the magic artifact shop, Rachel.
"Oh, just browsing." I said. I thought about buying the store but felt no reason to. There was no difference between owning the brand I wear or just owning the clothes besides fame. I felt it was a waste of time to negotiate with stores about the price they would be selling the clothes for.
At least that was what I thought before seeing that mocking smirk on her face. I looked at her name tag. So your name is Lauren.
"On second thought, bring me to your manager."
"Is there a problem sir?" She asked. Her forehead slightly creased.
"Bring me to your manager'l I repeated ignoring her.
"Yes sir." She said leading me to a door with a sign that read "Manager" on the door.
I directly pushed her to the side and entered.
"Call head office" I commanded to a bald man sitting on a chair with his face on the desk. He seemed to be clutching something under the table. His face was all red and he had a happy expression. There were some slurping? Sounds coming from desk?
Shocked at my appearance he sat up fast. His face was now deep crimson red.
"Security!" He yelled. Two burly men came running up the hall. I just stepped in the doorway and slammed the door behind me. I used a barrier spell I learned yesterday and barricaded the inside of the room.
"Call. Now." I demand. Afraid for his life, he immediately placed a call. I snatched the communication disk from him and listened.
"This is the Enforcers, what is your emergency?"
I hung up and stomped the ground causing it to cave in. Cracks appeared on the walls and water came rushing out of pipes. Bricks feel off in chunks. Insects wildly scurried on the floor. If I hadn't used the barrier to isolate the power in the room, the Store would have collapsed. This room was already so unsteady that if my barrier was no longer supporting it, it would have crumbled.
"That's what will happen to your head if you don't listen to me." He rapidly nodded completely horrified by my strength. This time he placed the right number in.
"Hello? Manager Lois? Is there a problem?"
"How much for your company?" I asked him.
"Who are you? Where is Manager Lois?"
"Here and safe as long as you get the CEO on the phone."
"Please John! Just do it!" Lois screamed from his desk.
The next minute a dignified voice came from the other end.
"Who are you? What do you want? We can negotiate but let go of Lois first."
That's when it happened.
