Friday afternoon is when we get to play in the commons room. We get an hour and a half before the jazz club takes over for the evening.so when we get there Markus keeps quiet but he is practically skipping around the stage area. As we prepare for the first song, I note that there's a decent crowd in here. The band and I treat this as gig even though we only play to practice here.
Is there a sign for when you lose your mentality
Which direction are you suppose to go
Left right up down
Or is it your sanity your losing
As you slip away alone
The bed you sleep in
Is barren and cold
Full of colours that's not you
Your heart empty of feeling
Laughing feels fake
Crying not real
Hugging doesn't exist
Neither does any to stand by you
Always have time
To question yourself out loud
Which makes the world question you
So again the question
Mentality or sanity
Up or down
Right or left
Come with me and jump
As the last words fall out of my mouth, I noticed Lynx. I look at Markus, who noticed her too.
"of course her nose is a book again" I mutter " she better look up before she hurt herself." It's was like the heavens heard me. She looked up and bam, into a door. I was already over next to her, helping her up in a split-second without even thinking.
I realized that the entire room was quiet, then ooooh's and aaaaaahhh's began. It was like I was back in high school. I just shook my head and look over at her about to speak but she was gone and I was stuck finishing band practice. Talk about unlucky.
