I have two objectives today.
First I need new clothes. Clothes as an adventurer. Clothes as an academy student. Clothes as a normal folk. I need three type of clothes.
Second I want to buy a new weapon. After the fighting with goblins, I need an effective method to exterminate the monster. Shall I buy a scepter to utilize my magic power or just choose a normal weapon like sword?
The academy required each student to bring their own wand or scepter to practice magic. So it is kind of compulsory for me to buy magic equipment.
But do I need to buy other weapon as my backup? I think it's can't hurt me to be more careful around outside area in forest. Even picking herbs in forest can expose you to certain danger.
I will see what's the suitable weapon as my secondary weapon in shop later.
After waking up, I went down to dining area of inn. Today breakfast was garlic bread with sweety jem. I slowly chew the meal to savour its taste.
Then, I went through the back door of inn to wash myself at well after eating. Apparently you can just bath here. There was several small rooms near to well.
You can wash yourself inside that room. I guess the privacy in this world was too fragile. I brought a small towel to dry my body.
The water after dawn was really cool. The low temperature of water nearly freeze my brain. I ashamed to admit this was my first time of bath after coming this city. Before this I swim in the river to wash myself.
After I finished bathed and breakfast, I went up to my room to rest in bed for a while.
Two hours later, I woke up from little nap. I feel refreshed again and get ready to settle my needs today.
I exited the inn and brought myself to west area. The lady of innkeeper told me that most shop buildings were located at west side.
You can find anything you wanted in that area as it control the flow of import and export of products from outside and inside of city. I was lucky to choose a small idle pavement as my first road. If not maybe I will trapped in busiest market that full of merchants and customer.
I that knew about this information tried to avoid the busiest place. I don't need to buy famous things, only a few that can satisfied my needs.
After passing through middle junction, I choose a small street that can be accessed by walking people, not a wagon.
I admired that even this street was full with people. My eyes scanned the area to find the suitable shop. Then without thinking anymore, I entered the first shop that I found.
I pushed the door and entered the garment shop. I saw around inside the shop and found an uncle that sit relaxed in a chair.
"Yes, welcome to my shop, mr. I believe you want to try a new design that famous in the city, right?"
"I don't need anything fancy or famous. I just want to buy a simple one. Does uncle has robe for magician, and normal clothes?"
"Oh ho ho ho! Indeed, my shop has all the thing you needs. If you want a better one, I can sew the new one from scratch. I have all fabrics that came from all places."
"So if I want to book my robe, how long can you finish it?"
"Sewing the robe is not hard, young man. I can guarantee to finish it by tomorrow. You will be amazed the quality of my art hand."
So, I reserved three new robes for magician attire. The thin body uncle measured my body to get the measurements. I bought another five pair of normal clothes that included shirts and pants. My total cost of first shopping was less than 100 Gal.
The uncle promised me that I can collect my new robes by tomorrow evening. We greet each other and I exited the shop. The garment shop's name was Ruby Tailor Shop. I will mark this shop.
Then, I continued stroll the street. My next shop was blacksmith. I thought to buy new armour as my old breastplate feel heavy and it was not mine from the beginning.
After 15 minutes of searching, I found the blacksmith shop and immediately entered it. There was no customer inside it except me. I can see an old man did something like inspection to weapon on display racks.
"Oh ho! You are customer right? Sorry I don't greet you on the door. So what things you want to buy?"
"It is okay, I don't mind. First I want a scepter. Any quality is fine. Second I want an armour for my body. I prefer to light one. Finally, I want a sword, for the beginner."
"Yes, yes, I have all the things here. You can take the scepter at that corner. The sword is near to that corner. You can choose first for the weapons. I will choose for your armour."
Then, I walked to corner of shop that displayed the hanged scepters on soft board. The scepter was exactly the same what I had imagined before this.
The scepter was like spear, it had sturdy handle but the difference lay on the tip. Each tip of scepter had stone or hard mineral such as diamond that responsible to amplify the magic power of its user.
The stone at the top of scepter had beautiful shape that differ from each scepter. Quality of stone could determined the price of scepter.
For me, I was just browsing the scepter without mind its price. I grabbed the scepter which had red diamond shape on it tip. I lift the scepter up and feel its weight feel suitable to me. The length of scepter was up to my head.
Then, I headed to sword section.
I simply just grabbed the sword which had double edge. It length was roughly around 70 to 80 cm. I guessed this sword was already enough for me to protect myself at forest.
Then, the old man of blacksmith came near to me and show the set of armour.
"I believe if you want to prioritise to agility, the best for light armour is leather armour. Even its durability was not same as to metal armour, but it still has high defense stats based on which animal's skin it made. This here mister, it made from tiger's skin which can increase the agility stats. This armour can sustain simple slash and stab, so unless you fight with high rank monster, it can protect you perfectly."
I don't know if this old man honest or not about the armor, but I know it was much more better than my old "borrowed" breastplate. I simply agreed to buy the leather armour without haggling.
This armour can cover my full torso, back and front. The color of the armor was dark to avoid being detected by enemy. I tried wore the armour and I feel it was light, same as this old man's claim.
Then I paid the scepter, sword, and leather armour for 200 Gal. It was kind of expensive when you tried to be dedicate adventurer. But the worth armour and weapon can protect you from losing your life.
After shopping from garment and blacksmith shop, I returned back to Inn at noon. I stored my new clothes and scepter in my room. I went down to dining atea of inn as I wore new armour and hang new sword at my waist.
I thought to take one quest at guild for today. One quest for one day maybe worth to increase my rank.
I sit at empty table and order meal for lunch from innkeeper. The menu for lunch was grilled chicken and bean soup. Yeah, I ate the delicious meal to fill up my energy tank.
I paid the meal for 15 Gal and went out to guild direction.
The quest for F rank was still same. I took two quests about herbs, White Mist Herb and Red Leaf Herb. If I continued took quest about quest, maybe I could gain title of herb collector.
Today, I finished both quests before sunset and gain about 60 Gal.
After dinner at inn, I went to bed early as I remember about 'date' at tommorow morning. This was my first date in new world.
