Sophia checked the whole wardrobe again, but found nothing.
There wasn't even a trace of the bullets in there. It was as if only the gun was placed here.
The agents were taught how to recognize the smell of the gunpowder. And by doing this Sophia concluded that the gun was never used.
It only meant two things. One was that Harry had never used the gun yet or second was that someone had deliberately put the gun in there.
Sophia wanted the second to be true. This would be great for everyone.
Harry's reputation even after his death would remain the same and if the second point was true then that would lead Sophia to the murderer.
If the person who had murdered Harry kept the gun in his wardrobe then it meant that the person left out a big clue for her and not only that, it also meant that the person was somehow related to Harry.
As for why? It was because only the ones related to him or the ones in politics could know about the gun.
But as the other leader were not elected hence they did not have that much power to obtain information about the gun like this.
______
To make sure that she would not miss out anything Sophia checked through Ava's belongings.
In one of her drawers was an old photo. Looking at the photo, Sophia's eyes constricted and she smirked.
She now had a major clue with her. Who knew that her decision to check Harry's house would give her two major clues related the case.
Coming out of the room, she went towards the group of nine who were with her in the west wing.
Now after acquiring the two clues, she had one main thing to do, which was to visit Ava and question her why there were no servants in the house on the day of the murder?
Was it a coincidence?
She didn't think it was. Why would there be no one in the house, unless Ava herself wanted to kill Harry or someone wanted to frame Ava for the murder.
But she knew that Ava would not do such a foolish thing. She was a smart woman. Why would she kill Harry in a way where she becomes a suspect.
"Did you find anything Alexander? When I was searching the President's room, I found you went to other rooms. Did you get something useful?"
"I took few samples of daily used things to check if there were fingerprints on them, of some unwanted person. We may find something from it."
Sophia spoke while massaging her forehead, "In which century do we live Alexander? Do you think the murderer would come bare handed and commit a murder? What is your use being an agent if you don't know such small things? And how get the samples of fingerprints, when the house had not been cleaned? The objects here are covered in dust. It is hard to get a sample of fingerprint."
"Don't worry boss. I made sure to clean the dust first. I..." Sophia interrupted him.
"And how did you do it? Using a cloth? The fingerprints may have wiped out by doing this."
"Ah, no no. I didn't use a cloth. I just blew on it." Alexander hastily explained.
Sophia: "..."
She didn't know whether to cry or laugh at his words.
In a stern voice she asked him, "Don't tell me you blew each and every thing covered in dust just to get those samples?"
Alexander nodded with his head bowed down. He was embarrassed with his actions, but he had no other choice.
Sophia finally burst out laughing. Her friend was really very dumb.
