Fiona suddenly felt like the room dropped in degrees. She shivered. Gabby nudged her.
"Fiona, that's one of the guys I've been telling you about" Gabby whispered exitedly
She looked up and nearly fell out of her chair. 'what is Azael doing here?!'
"Please have a seat mr. hellebore" ms. Julie said "take the seat behind Fiona"
Azael glance at Gabby, Gabby acted as if cody was dead to her. Gabby was actually excited to see Azael. 'he noticed me! Cody never did...' she thought
Another person walked in then. Fiona was actually excited to see this person. The mysterious person from the field that always seemed to get away from her. 'I will figure you out' Fiona didn't realize how obsessed she was until that thought crossed her mind.
"Sorry, it was snowing, and I woke up late..." Samael said as his hair dripped water on the floor
"just take a seat next to Gabriela" Ms. Jullie said
'both of them in one class?' Gabby thought, pushing the red strands of hair frum her face.
Throughout the class Fiona could feel the both of the watching her. She felt as though it was as cold in the class as it was outside.
"Fi, you okay?" Gabby whispered
"yes I'm okay" she answered. 'if you don't count the two Angels sitting in class practically staring daggers into my back, then I'm just peachy' she thought
Fiona was glad when the bell rang. She hurried to her next class. Fiona didn't get to relax, the two just followed her. 'they're in all my classes?'
Around lunch time Fiona was at her breaking point. She saw both of them glaring at each other in front of the door. She managed to imagine a few different ways to confront them, but all would make a scene. 'unwanted attention was never good'. Instead she just got her lunch and sat with Cody and Gabby.
Gabby was staring at Azael, Cody was trying to have a conversation with her. Fiona didn't miss that Cody kept trying to talk to her, even when her only answer was 'uh-huh' or 'yeah'.
"Are you going to come to our soccer game? There's going to be a party right after and we could go as a grou-"
"uh-huh"
"Gabby are you even listening?" Cody asked, irritated
'Maybe I came at a bad time' Fiona thought. She knew something was wrong because the roles have been switched. Fiona just sat and ate as she watched this whole ordeal. This never really happened, Gabby usually hung onto Cody's every word.
"Gabriela!"
Fiona jumped at his sudden out burst. The entire cafeteria was staring at him, Gabby was taken aback. The look on his face was one of embarrassment and irritation.
"Forget it" he stormed off
"Fiona, what's wrong with your brother?" Gabby asked at the start of fifth period "he never yells at us"
"I don't know" Fiona lied. 'she'll figure it out eventually'
"Fiona, I need to talk to you" Samael caught up to them
"class is going to start soon..."
"You won't get in trouble i promise" He said
"Samael do you know where Azael-"
"Fiona don't go with him!" Azael called from down the hall
"Hi Azael" Gabby was blocking his path
Samael grabbed into Fiona's hand and pulled her down the hall. She tried to ignore the fact that he was holding her hand, and the fact that her hand felt tingles, and focused on where they were going. Samael pulled her into cone of the unused classrooms. It was used for storage and was filled with boxes. 'This already seems like a bad idea' she thought.
"Look Fiona, you just have to trust me. Azael is trouble. He's shed blood and takes lives. He's a fallen angel- an Angel of death at that. Stay away from him. I don't want you to end up dead" He said
Fiona could only understand three things:
1. These two people hated each other
2. They weren't human
3. She didn't know who to trust
Samael knew this would happen, so he simply took her hand. For Fiona the world started changing color. She was suddenly outside of her English class with a pass that was signed by the nurse.
'what happened to my life?'
