Chapter 2 - Father last will - Their fortunes

The man sat in his chair in front of his desk, in his hand he held a piece a paper. He looked at the paper, his eyebrows frown and in the next second his face turned serious.

"I can't believe that he lied to me. My own father lied to me." The man let out sigh as he put the paper down on his desk, "I wonder how the other will react to this piece of news. How mom will react to this. Does she know about it?" His gaze landed down on the paper, "I think I should inform them now."

The man knew informing his younger siblings would be hard and difficult. Much his mother. It will be a tough decision. His family isn't easy to deal and to convince them that's an impossible task.

His younger siblings had left the house after their dad passed away and they are scattered around the world now. Calling them, yes, it is possible but bringing them back home... The man sighed.

Then he stood up from his chair and went to the window. He looked outside to view the big garden of his.

The garden is big and large. He saw the green grass which were cute in line ways and the bushes were shaped in a circle. Much less the flowers. They were rose, red, yellow and orange flowers.

The man let out a soft sigh then turned around again. He walked to his desk and took the piece paper in his again.

"Lila... Huh? So, she is my little sister, huh? The last person who inherit one billion dollars from dad. Dad, I wonder what else you hide from me." The man muttered.

This man is none than Mahad Hanasaki. The famous and devil Tycoon of Canada.

Mahad's father passed away not too long ago, well, to be more exact two months ago and the inheritance had split up in five person, he himself, his two-younger sibling, his mother and the last one to a mysterious person. They didn't know who the person was since his father lawyer had made a promise to his father on his deathbed not to tell anyone about it. Of course, everyone in the family got mad about it. Why would his father split his inheritance in five and why giving to that person too? A person they didn't know or never saw. His younger siblings found it unfair, but it didn't bother Mahad at all. Since he was the eldest and he could spend all the money he wanted.

Mahad was curious about that person and he started digging up some information about that person. He had sent his best friend, who is also a private investigator by the way, to look up for that person. Anything or any information about that person.

After three days he finally got the answer about that person.

Karan sat in his best friend coach in his best friend office. He sipped on his coffee and enjoyed eating his cookies. They were delicious, and Karan liked them.

"Is this information true?" Mahad as he gazed up from his paper to his friend.

Karan snorted. "Of course, it's true. Who do you think am I?" Karan praised himself highly.

Mahad rolled his eyes at his friend comment. "She really lives in Austria? Even now?"

Karan nodded. "Mhm… she's living with her mother and step-father for seven years."

"And before that?"

"Before that, she was living with her grandparents in Indonesia." Karan answered.

Mahad raised one eyebrow in surprised.

"Her mother was busy with her work in Bali and left her in her grandparents care. Her grandparents more or less raised the girl up. And after she turned eight her mom took her to Austria. Her mother married an Indian man and decided to take her and raised her up. Her grandparents were can't raised her up anymore since their health had gotten worse."

Mahad nodded his chin. "I see. And what kind of girl is she?"

Karan let out a laugh. "She's more like Raj than you or Prem."

Mahad looked at him confused.

"She is mischievous, naughty and playful like Raj, when he was younger."

"Raj is still the same. He didn't change a thing since his childhood."

Karan nodded in agreement. "That's true.", Then he gazed up at his friend, noticing the serious look in his face. "Do you want to meet her?"

Mahad startled at his question. "For the time no. Not yet."

"Why not?" Karan sounded confused, "You've wanted to know who that person whom your father mentioned at his will. Now you don't want to meet her?"

Mahad let out a sigh and placed the paper back down on his table. He walked to the coach to his friend and sat on a chair next to coach.

"It's not easy, you know. If I meet her now, I'll scary her off now. Besides, I still have to tell my mother and brothers about this news. I don't know how they will react to this. I am more afraid of my mother reaction."

Karan gave his friend a sympathy. He knew his friend hadn't it easy. Mahad, himself was surprised when he looked at the information which he had given to his friend. Mahad was frozen was a few minutes, he didn't even speak, which was not like him.

Mahad had digest information. It was too much for him, which was no wonder for him. His father was his idol and he looked up to him so much. He thought his father was perfect as his father didn't make any mistake. Everything should be perfect for his father. But now this. Fifteen years later he found out that he had a little sister. And on top of that, that his father had an affair with that girl mother which cause to produce that girl. His sister. His little sister. His half-sister. Same father but different mother. Mahad had always wanted a little sister, whom he could pamper and spoil, but this… He let out a sarcastically laugh. He laid his chin on his hand resting.

Karan stood up and walked to the glass cupboard which was filled with alcohol. He took a bottle of scotch and poured into two glasses then he went back to his friend. He handed Mahad a glass of scotch to his friend. Mahad looked up and took the glass gratefully from his friend.

"Thanks." Mahad muttered and drank the whole liquid up.

Karan sat back on the coach and looked at his dejected friend.

"Mahad, don't let yourself be so down. I know your father and he was you're a nice man. He just made a small mistake."

"I know that myself, but he could tell us about my little sister before he died."

"I guess. Your father was feeling guilty and that's why he hid it from you or your mother."

Mahad sighed and looked at his glass.

"Guess it's time to tell my mom, about her and about dad's affair." Then he slowly stood up from his chair.

"Are you sure you want to tell her now?" Karan stopped him by grabbing on his hand, "Maybe you should wait for a few days more."

"No, the sooner the better." Mahad sighed again.

Mahad slowly walked down the stairs till he reached the kitchen where his mother was. His mother, Salena Hanasaki was cooking dinner. Mahad walked up behind him and hugged his mother.

His mother was surprised when someone hugged her from behind.

"Oh, it's you." She said as she noticed that it was his son, Mahad.

"Mhm." Mahad replied and hugged his mother tightly, his expression conflicted and hurt.

"Is something wrong?" His mother asked, noticing the strange tone of his son.

"Mom, maybe, maybe you should sit down for a second."

"Oh, that doesn't sound good."

"No, No, it's good, I guess. I mean, it's you know… it's not bad. It's a really good thing. It's not a bad thing. I think it's a really good thing." Mahad replied as he led his mother to chair in the dining table, "I mean it depends, you know." He murmured the last sentence.

"Aha. That sound worst." His mother replied.

"No, it's just complicated." Mahad quickly said.

His mother looked at him for a second confusing. "Okay, so don't you just tell me about what's going on?"

Mahad took a deep breath and let it out. "Alright. Karan and I know about it just a moment ago. You know about that person who has also inherit dad's fortune. Karan found it for me as I wanted to know that person myself."

His mother let out a small laughed. "What? Excuse me?" Her face turned serious the next moment.

"Yeah, I sent Karan to investigate the person mention in dad's will and he found that person for me."

"Karan? Why would you sent Karan to look for that person?" His mother looked at him.

"Because it would not make a sense why father would give that person some of his fortunes." Mahad replied.

His mother shot him a confused gaze.

"Mom, I don't know how to say this to you. It's hard for me."

"Then, why don't you tell me about that person now."

Mahad took a deep breath again as he was about to say was not easy.

"The last person, who dad mentions in his will…is his daughter, my step-sister, Lila."

His mother Salena looked at him in surprise, her jaw dropped down, her body froze. She sat there like a statue, her eyes on his son only.

"Look, mother, I know this is huge." Mahad quickly took his mother hands, holding them.

Then Salena let out a sigh and the words "So, you've found her.", which Mahad didn't expect.

Mahad eyes widen in disbelief. "Mom, you found her and know her name too?"

Salena slowly nodded. "Mhm… Yes, I do."

This sudden bomb from his mother made him speechless for a few minutes.

"M-Mom... Y-You mean, you know it already?" Mahad asked stuttering after he regain his voice.

Salena nodded again.

"H-How? And since when? Who else know it?" He threw a question after another to his mother.

"Easy there." His mother stopped him before she continued, "I'm dear, but I can't tell this now." Salena laid her hand on his hand.

"Why not? I mean since you've dropped this bomb you could also tell me the whole story now." Mahad's gaze was serious as it pierced to his mother.

Salena's eyes flickered unsure and were conflicted for a second but hid it quickly from her son, but it wasn't quite quick enough. Mahad already noticed them.

"Mom!" He demanded for an answer.

"I'm sorry but I really can't tell you. I've made a vow of silence about it."

"A vow? To whom?"

"To your father." Salena said it with a heavy sigh, "I've promised to your father. I can't tell you. At least not for now. You and your brother aren't prepared for the truth yet. Especially you, Mahad." Salena's turned serious.

Mahad was stunned. He looked at his mother face to see if she telling the truth of is she is lying to him.

Mahad had a special talent or rather a gift. He can read people's face if they telling the truth or if they lie. And at this moment, he could only see the truth on his mother face.

"Alright. I give up. Only for now, but that doesn't mean that literally giving up on the truth. I'm going to find the truth and if it's the last that I do."

Salena was stunned at her son words after she heard them.

I just hope you wouldn't find the truth, because you wouldn't be able to bear it...

Salena's eyes turned sad as she gazed at his son determinated face.
